I will never forget the first alcohol ink background I saw! And I have loved them ever since, BUT it is the only supply/product that I have none of! Not a one!!! I wouldn’t let myself buy any because there’s so many techniques and supplies I haven’t used yet that I flat out refuse to let myself indulge in another line of products . I just can’t do it. I have sprays, powders, magicals, pastes galore! You name it! And I have made one card in months!!!! Being disabled and living in a big house with a yard and trees I just cannot keep up! There’s no time to play. So as much as just live them, they’re my favorite! I don’t have any! But I do have 50 new embossing powders to use!!! 😂 lol
I’ve followed Daniel for a while now, he is amazing at what he does. I’ve recently given up resin but I do love alcohol ink. Another great video, thank you x
It's me again Marion, I meant to also tell you that when I use Tim's inks, I believe the way that I learned is that they were meant to use on a non-porous surface, like mirror card, phono card is really nice to use also, glass and the like. I buy 4x6 photo card from the web in counts of 200 - 250 layer my ink and then lastly apply some of the blending solution. You can also get his blower so that you can literally move the ink all over the paper. It is so amazing I really think anyone who has not worked with the other inks and tries them word like them. Now onto discovery of the inks you are working with today - I just can't wait to try them! The discoveries waiting to happen are endless. And of course, we have you and your wonderful spirit to lead the way for us! Thanks again.

Marian: I’m almost 78 and I,too, fight memory problems, especially IF I am tired,lol. FYI regarding Velumn “cracking”. Amazon has 105# velumn for $10 (40pcs. 8.5x11)I spray backside with water and run them Thru, (3D folder) and there is NO cracking at all. Brand name is Olympia. (I got 135 sheets of 8.5x11 for $28. That will do More than 500 A2 cards!)

Always a pleasure watching your videos Marion ❤ Not sure if anyone else has mentioned it, as I can't really see my own text, let alone anyone else's, but Gina K puts cardstock both sides of the wax paper, as it does have wax both sides, you sort of get the positive and negative if you've embossed a stencil, or with an embossing folder, but I've only seen it done on cardstock with dye ink. I'm in Wales, I had to get mine from Amazon. Keep up the experiments, love watching them, thank you ❤

The video you did previously was 11 months ago and it was called Embossed wax resist. You embossed the waxed paper then sandwiched it between 2 bits of card.

Only thing I can think off would be if they had oils that got on the foil before adding the ink. They could try wiping the foil with straight alcohol and letting it dry before adding the ink.

Thanks for the fun video. If you ever hear from the person who said the alcohol inks don't dry on foil, please let us know. I'm not sure why she's having problems. Foil is about as non-porous as it gets so I don't know why it's not drying. I've used it on Yupo, on Grafix Craft Plastic, on vellum, etc. even on glass. It always dries. I'm curious. I started collecting alcohol inks about 20 years ago on vacation in New Mexico and now I've got 60 or 70 bottles of different colors of alcohol inks, mostly Ranger, but some from other brands. I love adding Jacquard Piñata Rich Gold or Brass alcohol inks to the colors - I can't resist that! I've tried using the little blower (looks a bit like a turkey baster, lol) but my arthritis in my hands makes that difficult. I've got a variable speed hair dryer that I use to move the inks around on Yupo or Grafix plastic. I also use 90% or purer alcohol to mix with my colors to make them more fluid. When I get back home at the end of the month I'm going to get out my supplies and start playing. Thanks for reminding me of how much I enjoy that.

I find the alcohol inks stay a bit tacky so I spray a clear sealant over mine. In the US you can buy it where they sell spray paints (craft stores, Home Depot, Lowe’s ets.).
You said ppl were telling you that thier alcohol inks were wiping right off aluminum. Don't know if this may be thier problem but the dull side of aluminum is non stick. When you did your video you used the shiny side of the foil . I haven't done the alcohol ink on foil yet so i'm just guessing to what thier problem was. Hope this helps. It may have been that they used water based inks and not alcohol ones. The water based ones would take ages to try unless you use a heat gun. Love watching your demos! I get messy like you too! 😂
Hi Brenda, I’m not sure about Canada, but as long as they say alcohol inks you should be good, often resin companies use dye inks, so double check, the ones I’ve listed here are alcohol ink by let’s resin and they are in North America. I hope that helps 🥰🥰🥰

I had alcohol inks rub off of yupo paper and contacted ranger. They said if you use to much pearl or metal mixatives that happens.

I was able to get the Alcohol ink to dry.
You said ppl were telling you that thier alcohol inks were wiping right off aluminum. Don't know if this may be thier problem but the dull side of aluminum is non stick. When you did your video you used the shiny side of the foil . I haven't done the alcohol ink on foil yet so i'm just guessing to what thier problem was. Hope this helps. It may have been that they used water based inks and not alcohol ones. The water based ones would take ages to try unless you use a heat gun. Love watching your demos! I get messy like you too! 😂

Hi Brenda, I’m not sure about Canada, but as long as they say alcohol inks you should be good, often resin companies use dye inks, so double check, the ones I’ve listed here are alcohol ink by let’s resin and they are in North America. I hope that helps 🥰🥰🥰

Why dont you use the heat gun...?? No Iron needed with alcohol inks...not with paper or vellum... also try alcohol bending solution...
I used the iron as I wanted heat and pressure to get the inks to transfer, I hope that makes sense 🥰🥰
