Wow! I’ve never used alcohol inks but that background was absolutely stunning! Especially with the luna paste over the top. Such a clever use of the panels with those gorgeous floral and leaf dies on each panel. Another stunning card Natasha 😊❤
So gorgeous! It took on a whole new dimension when you cut the panel into 4 bits. And then your inner magician burst forth adding the delicate white flowers. You are a wonder!! ❤🐧💙
I've made a few backgrounds with alcohol inks, but I was always unsure if they looked good enough to use them as a solid front. Seeing you cut up the backgrounds you made gave me inspiration to cut mine up and use them. Thank you so much! The background and card are so pretty 😍.
Natasha, I just ordered some alcohol inks . Don’t ask why ! Just did it and am going to try these ideas . Need to get some lunar paste too , etc, etc ! Wash trying to limit “ my stash” as you call your card making stuff , to just one plastic storage box ! Who was I kidding besides myself . I am trying as many of your ideas as you share with us ! Your channel is my only resource now , so I am soaking up your advice . I did order a cutting board that has a scoring feature , today . I think that I will really appreciate that feature . Thank you for your inspiring channel ❣️❤
The Luna paste was the best option. The other one covered the inks up and looked more like a blob of gold and didn't highlight it like the Luna paste. Yes this is something I would try to make. FYI a 15 minute video is just fine, even a 20 minute one so please don't worry about that, we just want to see all your lovely creations!!
How pretty. I love the blues and greens with the gold. The cards are absolutely stunning. You always come up with something amazing! Thanks for all the inspiration
Ohhh I love it!! Now I can use my alcohol inks!! I suck at doing anything with these inks…. But now I’m gonna try this!! Ur just a craft gem! ! I swear I have used more of my stash since watching you than ever!! And I have challenged myself to use a new stamp set each time I create!! It’s wonderful and with ur inspiration , I have achieved more mojo in my craft room than u have in a long time!! Thanks for being so amazing to this paper crafting community!!!
Another fun technique for you with alcohol inks… put a layer of water about 1-2cm deep in a container you don’t mind getting coloured, that is big enough to fully hold your piece of paper. I just bought a cheap foil BBQ tray because I dipped full A4 sheets of normal copy paper or thicker paper/cardstock. Drop a few drops of 1-3 colours of alcohol ink onto the surface of the water & blow gently with a straw or swirl with a wooden skewer or stick until you get a marbled effect (doesn’t take much). Then drop your paper or card stock onto the surface of the water & the paper will absorb the alcohol ink, creating a beautiful, no mess marbled effect. Let it dry & tada… inexpensive marbled paper. I didn’t try it, but I’m sure you could layer different colours of the alcohol inks by drying the paper/card in between. You could probably marble feathers, cloth & other things too now I think of it 🤔 You will find that different brands & colours of alcohol ink will have slightly different effects, as some will sit on top & break up a bit as they sort of “set” on the water, while others will diffuse into the water more & have a more subtle effect. But they all look super cool. Metallics & pearls won’t swirl, the drops tend to clump together a bit & a lot will just drop to the bottom of the water, but they can still create some fun effects where they stick to the paper, so you can try doing really small dots with a skewer. Hope you try it, I think you’ll have great fun - and no messy shaving foam or residue on the paper 😊
Oh la la, STUNNING, Natasha, you were meant to be an arrest, just like the one you are now. Your techniques and layouts always amaze me. Tysm for the inspiration.

I REALLY hated this technique watching, BUT the blue card at the end took my breath away! That’s why I always watch your videos till the end, because you’re just so so creative. Great job, thank you!
This made me laugh so much! I love that you say you hated it lol! A LOT of my plans seem like they might not work out along the way, but most of the time we manage to get there somehow! Love your comment and honesty! :) :) xx Natasha
Stunning card. Just love the colour combination of the blues and greens. Have you tried the alcohol inks on to foil? I clear heat emboss after the ink has dried which gives an even glossier effect and seals the ink.
Thanks so much for the info with Alcohol inks….I do love working with them but really need to learn so much more about them! Thank you for the great ideas!
I want sure how you were going to use the crumbled paper but my gosh they look great with the white contrast on them. I have some luna paste, thanks for the idea how to use it. 😊😊😊😊❤
Fantastic technique! 😂 I have no idea how you keep coming up with the ideas and techniques that you do. Just keep on doing whatever it is because it's Absolutely Amazing!!!
More crumpling that makes me swoon! Gorgeous card and thinking way outside the box!! Love Ranger alcohol inks with their Blending Solution to make the inks move like crazy, more than alcohol. It never occurred to me to use them without blending solution - duh and thank you!! (Gave away Maribu but they could absolutely be faves for others).
I did the same with the Marabus… I felt I had no control over the amount of ink coming out… and even when firmly closed if they fell over they leaked. Ranger has a super range of colors….based on the collection I now seem to have!!🤣🤣🤣🧑🏼🎨
@@Mari-cre8s ditto all the things you said! lol I have my Ranger alcohol inks (AIs) in two Tim tins. What blows my mind is that though i’d played with AIs for ages, it was always with Blending Solution (preferred) or alcohol, and it never dawned on me to play with them without it. The look is so different. But here dances in Natasha, always looking with a fresh eye and imagination with no boundaries! I must dig up a graphic an instructor laminated for an entire workshop class years ago that shows a mouse in a maze but some maze walls broken down. The caption reads, “No walls for this mouse!” Think outside the box!
Awesome, Natasha! I fell in love with alcohol inks, a while back, and then decided I couldn’t use them “correctly”. Many thanks to you for showing me that I could still have fun with them and make a card!
Fabulous backgrounds. I've done something similar with regular inks and scrunched up tissue paper. When dry and on some card stock the wrinkles are slightly raised and I add gold to those edges. Makes great backgrounds, but I now have alcohol inks so your idea will be my next messy play time. Thanks
I had a crumpled paper and tried the alcohol ink. It’s not as smooth as yours, but now I’m going to attempt a scrapbook layout. Thanks for the fun inspiration!!!
I don't own any alcohol inks - and have no intention of getting any 😂. But i do love your videos, Natasha - youre such an inspiration - this was a great technique and the end result was gorgeous. Thanks again for sharing your talents 😁❤️ xx
I never thought of scrunched up the yupo paper but I will now as it gives a really beautiful look. The card is stunning. Thank you for sharing this lovely idea. 😊
Oh!!! How beautiful!! I didn't know if I would like the texture part very much. I tend to layer instead. So after watching you I decided it was time to crumle some paper. I compromised by not crunching it quite so much and then of course my ocd forced me to 'iron' it a little bit with my hands so I had to crumple it again because this was about texture. I used softer colors, then bolder ones as you keep pulling me kicking and screaming out of my box. Sweet!! I really should know better by now. My perfectionist trend is not helping my art journey! Thanks again! I just love how you keep me continuing to grow. Going outside my box really isn't bad, that it really is a great, fun and place to be. It's funny because every time I go outside that box following your art, it's a great, positive experience. You rock!! I'm going to see if I can make a sky background and somehow add grass at the bottom. Or clouds?
Hi. Those backgrounds are absolutely outstanding. I jave put off buying alcohol inks for so long as I dont jave the funds or storage space for extras despite loving the effects so much. I do think I shall be getting some as soon as I've used up a good amount of my acrylic paints and ribbon so that I can justify it to myself.😂 Thank you for sharing this and have a wonderful day.😊
Well I don't know how you do it but that card is yet again amazing . I am going to try card stock to see what happens and grease proof paper . May go wrong but worth a try x
You can do this technique with acrylic inks (metallic inks gives a beautiful effect) or watercolours on thinner paper like baking sheets or newspaper paper. ❤ Love the delicate flower dies against the background. So pretty! 😇🙏🙌🩵
I don’t know how you do it, but you always come up with amazing new ideas!!!
I love them 😊
Dainty Blossoms-those dies are a tried and true favorite!

Gorgeous! I am not quite that confident to make this quite yet. Thank you Natasha! 💙💚
Mini slimline is what you were thinking. 😊

Oooooo, fabulous idea! TY for sharing it!
It can be put into an embossing folder too. Add it to card base first.
Gorgeous Natasha ❤
As always…..job well done!
Love the card!!
so gorgeous!
Really love what you created here - especially when you cut it down to smaller pieces & added the flowers on top. Makes it not so overwhelming
I've had lunar paste on my wish list for a while now... I think the time is coming to finally make the purchase! 😊
