Imagine an alternate ending where Arthur has a slightly disnhonorable but honorable status, and when he crawls to the cliff, there is no sunrise, but a strange man staring from where Micah ran: “It’s not your time yet Arthur. There’s still much more you must do”
Bro if you look in Arthurz journal their is a entry that states: "heard of a man, sounded like trelawny." That was when the gang was still in blackwater so the strange man was their the whole time? In my opinion everything in the rdr universe resolves around life, death, and redemption, the strange man being death would make sense because the "death" of the van der linde gang happened bcuz of blackwater.
I know the point of the strange man is for speculation, and I know that people like to think of him as God or the devil, but I prefer to think of him is a spirit. A spirit that’s full of every soul anyone in the vanderlin gang has killed on their travels. That’s how “he” knows John, that’s why Arthur can still find his shack. I even like the thought of it eventually taking the souls of those who die in the gang, until all are dead. I have no evidence for this, but it’s what I like to think. A being that’s a literal combination of all their murder for their own greed keeping an eye on them, until the time is right to snatch them up as well. Again no evidence, but it’s fun for me if it’s a bit more personal.
I love how they even put him in locations where you would never see him by normal means because of cutscenes and stuff but such a well written mysterious character
My theory is that the strange man is the funest destiny of the gang that would explain why he know so much about them and why he is always in black clothe

yooo that would give CHILLS 💀
Why is every RDR 2 edit so 🔥🔥🔥
"Yes, many have."
I really feel like he is “God”. Who else would be cursed by that many people? And he knows EVERYTHING? I’m not religious, but every time I see clips of this guy he gives me a weird vibe
This is literally the GMAN on another universe I bet you not
"Our mutual friend"
"Rise and shine, Mr. Freeman"
he's like the gman for red dead redemption 2
the fact that John was the only one out of the whole gang to ever even interact with him is scary
Imagine after contracting TB from Thomas back in chapter 2, the strange man would be watching you in the distance the entire time your on your way back to camp
He is
A tweet from rockstar confirms this
DUDE, THIS EDIT IS AWESOME
Plot twist: he was the cameraman all along
Bruh
Maybe the camera man was the friends we made along the way
@@Ironfist_Alexander45maybe the friends we made along the way were the friends we made along the way
Would've been neat to put him in missions that decide your honor level, just barely visible in the background
He forgot his dad was killed, and he forgot what he looked like all together
Its all fun and games until you pause the video and still hear it
It would be fascinating if you were in a mission and could sometimes see him in the distance.
theres a cabin in bluewater where you can see him in the reflection of a mirror it's scary asf
@@letitburnforever2122 shit. Ya, I guess we'll never know who this guy is, maybe he's an angel, watching out for John, I don't know
He's the grim reaper i believe.
John shoots him 3 times, Three shots, for three dead people. John, Uncle, And Abigail.
@@porterijsseldijk3953 he's not an angel he's the grim reaper
I'd like to say he's somewhat of a god looking over the main protagonist
He even watched (through binoculars) young Jack change his clothes

BRO
Strange Drake
Pause 💀
You can see in Arthur diary, that he saw before Blackwater incident a guy, who looked like Trelawny.....
Either a God, Devil, or the Grim Reaper himself
Or Cain from the bible
Soundtrack bro :....
Know theName?
@@henriquemarquesdesousa8326 The future?...
This gives me anxiety about life and death lol
Rockstar literally missed so big of a chance with this character
They already made his model
Imagine an alternate ending where Arthur has a slightly disnhonorable but honorable status, and when he crawls to the cliff, there is no sunrise, but a strange man staring from where Micah ran: “It’s not your time yet Arthur. There’s still much more you must do”
Girls in my school just don't understand how goatee is his story is
Bro if you look in Arthurz journal their is a entry that states: "heard of a man, sounded like trelawny."
That was when the gang was still in blackwater so the strange man was their the whole time?
And only Jack Marston survived because he was the only one who didn't kill anybody but Ross
This is Gavin, we found him.
It’s not
@@spacegoose6358 just pretend
The story of Red Dead Redemption goes deeper than most know. The story missions in both games are just the tip of the iceberg.
I love how they even put him in locations where you would never see him by normal means because of cutscenes and stuff but such a well written mysterious character
My favorite mystery of the rdr/rdr2 series
My theory is that the strange man is the funest destiny of the gang that would explain why he know so much about them and why he is always in black clothe
i saw an npc he told the other npc : Hey fella! do you know the guy with the big hat and the weird moustache? i saw him in my dream.
For real
What
this is honestly one of my favorite edits I've ever seen
If RDR3 comes out, this guy needs to have his own story
WHY ARE YOU PEEEING ON MY FARM!
Imagine john saying that
@@Mayden-e1c😅😅
Song version pls!
Transgender by Crystal Castles but a slowed down version
I think of him as G-man from the half life series
What if the strange man And The G-man Was The Same Kind And both came from the same species
No gman was a advisor that took the Shape of a human
This is just some witch craft man
@@Kingofcurses794 He Not A Witch he A God It Can Be Confirmed In Red Dead 1 When John Shoot Him It Didn't Did Nothing To Him but its Still A Mystery Who He Is
G-man Vs the strange man
Would be wild if RDR3 was about him.
"I know you?"
"Do you remember that young lady that got shot in the head on that ferry a while back, East of Blackwater? Her eye hanging from a tendon."
"No, not really?"
"Then why would you remember me, friend? You have forgotten far more important people than me."
I’d love to see an update where he maybe appears for a split second when Arthur is dying. Doesn’t say any anything but the pair make eye contact from like a medium range. It wouldn’t take much effort and it’d thicken the lore so much.
I have totally forgotten... what is this song again? Also It would have been cool given they added him to RDR2, as the older players would understand who he is.
His just like the Gman from HL2 Half Life 2.Watching in secret, yet so terrifying when seen.
Yeah, espescially when you're playing water Hazard.
Where there's a station filled with 2 zombies
It's just at the beggining.
They pretty similar ngl.
And RockStar used the same way Gman was used.
@@Memorablecrucifix Agreed
It is possible that the strange man is a creature sent by God and knows what will happen to everyone .
(Or he is the devil)
It's so creepy to think that the strange man was standing just outside of you during scenes of Red Dead Redemption 2. This video conveys a message that's like, "I was always here. You just didn't know it" oh my eyes are watering😆
I really thought the strange man was pissing in the opening clip lmao
Kid named Gavin:
Someone tell his friend
I swear he basically just the g-man but for the rdr universe
You can see him when Arthur dies on the rail tracks
Crystal Castle - Transgender
I think the Strange Man is Jack’s real father
This theory makes a lot of sense when you think about it
Rockstar confirmed that jack is John’s son with Javier’s mustache
If arthur had been walked to the the doctors office by the strange man before his diagnosis would add more mystery to the strange man alive
John: “LIGMA!”
Strange man: “Many have”
Oh yes yes he is he may be behind you or infront or next to you he is all around.
Fun fact: you can find the strange man house around Saint Denis
That guy is literally death watching waiting for Arthur to die
