In another issue said he does like nice suits and dressing stylish. When I'd watched that interview where he was dressed to the nines, I'd forgotten he was different than his character.
A divine serie and the script wonderful with excellent ,sarcastic lines.Gary Oldman is one of the top three actors all over the world.I admire him, he is a brilliant thespian.Slow horses actors are great also.
@@baskervillebee6097He’s an absolute legend. Possibly my favourite actor of all time. He hasn’t even been in many of my top films, but as an individual and actor he’s totally versatile. He’s impossible to pin down to one type of character which is honestly something I’m not sure I can say about anyone else.
The series is based on a series of books by Mick Herron, The Slough House series. There are currently 12 books, 'Slow Horses' (2010) being the first one and 'Standing by the Wall' (2022) being the 12th and most recent.
I just love the Slow Horses. I stumbled on the first series only 2 weeks ago and I am addicted. May they return to complete filming all the books. And I would definitely fly from Singapore, where I live, to see the Slow Horsed in panto. Absolutely. Gary is a brilliant actor.
One of the things I love about Slow Horses cast is how Gary seems so relaxed and funny around them, like its not just work, but really good friends. Jack is a lovely guy and I bet he is learning a lot from the oportunity to work with Gary. Another thing I like in this series is that, diferent from some other great works Gary already done, he seems really happy with this one. He is usually very critical about his work, at a point he seems almost like discontented about it (not that he really is, just seems like). I feel Slow Horses has a special vibe all over the production...
Jackson Lamb is my favorite superhero with his superpower being flatulence! So glad to see Gary being recognized by a whole new generation! When Gary made his debut with Sid and Nancy and then Prick Up Your Years, way back in the day, you just knew the world was given a special actor. Speaking of Prick Up Your Ears, Alfred Molina is probably the most under-rated actor in cinema in the past 40 years. I think most people don't even realize he was the South American guide in the original Indiana Jones - the same guy who played the villain in Spider Man. It took me years to realize he played Gary Oldman's gay lover in Prick Up Your Ears!
This seemed like such a fun chat! Great job on the intereview - had me smiling at the end. the panto would be hilarious! "where's the spy then?" "HE'S BEHIND YOU!"
Love the show ! one of the best I've seen for many a year. p.s. Is it just me but is Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman) getting more grimy and grungy with each passing episode ? He's beginning to look almost "Homeless"
Gary Oldman is such a great actor. He was brilliant in True Romance (as Drexl) and in so many other roles. The bad cop in ... Leon - The Professional! He's brilliant.
Yes! The Slow Horses doing Panto. Everyone in Slow Horse character but doing panto characters! Jackson Lamb playing the widow (there is a widow in panto, isn’t there?)

Can Gary reprise his role as Zorg from 5th Element on Slow Horses somehow? I'm not even sure what they'd have to do to the script to make that possible.
Oldman IS Lamb...and what a secret part of every one of us wants to be...I think. So far, the series is incredibly good, although Roddy Ho is more nasty and less goofy than in the books, and the wonderfully explosive Shirley Dander from the books is nowhere to be found in the underwhelming version of her on screen. The final episode of Season Three gets very violent, American-style. Let's hope this does not bode ill for Season Four.
The Jackson Lamb line that made me piss myself was- “F*** me with a wire brush”. Oh how I howled with laughter. I’m using that now every opportunity I get.
Well, I mean, this Oldman chap - and the rest of 'em, of course, probably not too bad considering, mind you it's early days yet, best keep an eye on 'em, I suppose. All subject to review, of course. Slow Horses has no right to be so damn' good - is what I really meant to say.
Harsh man. If you're going to sit there like a daft twat on the internet, at least offer constructive criticism. Could be the beginning of her time as a host..very nervous id imagine too
Without any doubt, Slow Horses 'was' the only thing on TV worth watching, primarily because it does not have the obvious objective of simply being a vehicle to promote Woke. Yes it is played for laughs sometimes and no way would a person like Jackson Lamb be put in charge of an MI5 unit such as Slough House which is considered with such contempt by those at HQ. Also, it is for entertainment purposes so even once working as very lowly RAF SAC Photographer who came across service personnel and government intelligence people plus for the five years I was in the RAF I learnt, trained with and even taught such people doing course at RAF Brampton and Cosford - I am not expecting real world situations. BUT after watching the very last episode of Season 3, being unbelieving bad and so woke, pure fantasy and highly ridiculous shoot-out where a crew of rejects out shoot, out punch and kill a large number of about 15 MI5 'SAS' soldiers, who are even tougher, more skilled and deadly than normal SAS soldiers - was just BEYOND BELIEF. We had a 'little girl' take on and despatch in hand-to-hand combat and shooting hardened soldiers who I can assure you practise every day their skills to kill people as quickly as possible. The whole last 15 minutes was joust a farce and it was like watching a bunch of young men having ZERO military skills and experiences be put in such uniforms and given guns and told to go in and kill the Slow Horses team plus two other MI5 operatives. An absolute joke and totally ruined the immense enjoyment of having something at last on TV to watch and not have to 'tut' and say "here we go again' and switch off". I expect that when Slow Horse first came out, it slipped under the radar at APPLE Plus but not surprising being so good, got the viewing figures it deserved and then the 'big woke wigs' at Apple became interested and wanted to be involved, and thus is why we had the f****** crap the last episode of Season 3 gave us. I know there is a fourth season coming but just as with the very good American House of cards with Kevin Spacey as Francis Underwood that when he was got rid of and Robin Wright took over, watched only ten minutes and turned off, I doubt I will watch the fourth season of Slow Horses.
Watch to your hearts content, if you like childish, unbelievable nonsense. Oh no! Gary has invented a new insult/put down and we are all shocked at how insensitive he is. Bottle of whiskey and horror of horrors, holes in his socks! Load of BS.
It’s stunning to see him cleaned up and with washed hair - he’s so good as Lamb that it’s easy to forget he’s acting! SUCH a good show!
Yes…I love the show..but every episode …..I say to myself…omg…he is disgusting….but love his character…😮
In another issue said he does like nice suits and dressing stylish. When I'd watched that interview where he was dressed to the nines, I'd forgotten he was different than his character.
When Washington Post gave the show a raving review it was still like "Oldman is sublime as always but, gosh, does Lamb have to be so disheveled?" 😂

Jack’s giggle at 2:04 is so adorable ❤
Lucky guy getting to work with Gary. What a dream job.
gary made me laugh almost every episode he is the main reason i watch this show
Gary Oldman is an absolute Godsend!
Beethoven, Dracula, Commissioner Gordon , Churchill, Zorg, Sid Vicious, Sirius Black. Gary Oldman is a chameleon.
Agree one million percent!
It is criminal how talented he is.

Gary Oldman is a national treasure. I've loved the man since Sid and Nancy.
Slow Horses is such a fantastic show with amazing characters and actors! Hoping for many more seasons. 👏👍😎❤️

Who's here because Season 4 just started? What a great TV show - love it!
Loved this series from the get go...Garry is a gem.....

Lamb’s “uh-huh” is my favourite as well 🤣🤣🤣
I backed it up 10 seconds about 60 times on that part 😂
Oh my god Jack Lowden is dead gorgeous!
I have replayed the scene where River throws "the thing" (spoilers) to Duffy over and over, because the face he pulls just cracks me up every time
This seemed like such a fun chat! Great job on the intereview - had me smiling at the end. the panto would be hilarious! "where's the spy then?" "HE'S BEHIND YOU!"
I love Gary. Brilliant Actor, so intelligent and Menacing yet human. beautiful man
Love these guys ! So proud to be British !
2:50 OMG River's a giggler. Love it. 😂
Love these two on Slow horses ,great acting makes a great show and great writing of course !
Just finished season 3…absolutely brilliant….Took me a season to work out Gary’s character….yeah, I’m a tad slow…more please.
Oh please the Slow Horses Panto❤❤ And it better be filmed for us poor colonials in Australia 🤞🤞
Love the show ! one of the best I've seen for many a year.

Very British, extremely cool! Offers the chance to dive in a different world during times with such horrible news!
Slow Horses doing Panto.
Effing brilliant idea!
Please 🙏
Yes! The Slow Horses doing Panto. Everyone in Slow Horse character but doing panto characters! Jackson Lamb playing the widow (there is a widow in panto, isn’t there?)
"I've got haemorrhoids more useful than you f####rs !!" Best line ever !!! Love this show and everyone involved 😊👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Jackson Lamb putdowns are masterclass lol
Love this man, his language/insults are hilarious, did he come up with himself or were the lines were they on script?

Just bought book 1
Ohh i wish there were more episodes

Brilliant. Make it happen.

Slow Horses doing panto? Where can I get that ticket? 😂
I feel sorry for actors in such interviews
When "The Professional" came out, I thought GO would remain a character actor. Gald I was wrong.
Jack for James Bond ❤

Are they at different ends of the same room?
They are a few feet apart if you will look at the background 7:52
@@DancingFox6 I think they’re in different locations, but green screened - it’s just odd that they’ve been given the same backgrounds!
Definitely in front of green screens. Everyone is in a different room.

‘MI useless’. He was right about that.

May I join with the Pantomime? 🙃
Wait, he's Scottish?!!
And super super scottish too! I would have bet money he was from Hampshire.
@@davidotoole9328 Same! It's like when I found out Stringer Bell was from Hackney!
@@krupboom and McNulty was a posho!

They are in the same hotel. Separated for a reason?
The furniture is the same in both sides, bizarre.
Hotel rooms!
Yeah I guess they are in the same hotel, but different rooms.
Jack is a Scotsman. I'm devastated.
Well lad, I'm exhilarated!
Possibly the best action scene ever. Yes it’s the same Gary. th-cam.com/video/vyi7rbeRvGY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=rBAp-lIfytIJMAi2

unwatchable due to the horrible host
