It's interesting to see that it is recommended to cut off the stem at 1/8" or 3mm above the tires outer surface. Why is that? Why wouldn't we want a cut that's flush with the outer surface?

As the repair continues to vulcanize to the tire it ensure that the repair is completely set. And the extra will wear down over time anyways.

That security coat never dries for me. I left it overnight once and it still didn’t dry. Important to me since I use balancing beads
