First step is warm the cream and add yogurt culture and let it set for few hours. Just like you do it to make yogurt. Then whip or churn this yogurt which is made out of cream and your butter will float on top. If you don't want to make yogurt skip this step and whip or churn the cream directly to make butter out of it. Adding yogurt culture makes the butter little tangy and buttermilk has pro biotics. Hope this explains it.
I MADE BUTTER WITH FRESH CREAM A COUPLE OF DAYS AGO AND HAD SO MUCH BUTTERMILK LEFT I HAVE REFRIGERATED IT BUT I NEVER ADDED YOGURT TO IT CAN I STILL USE IT FOR CULTURE TO MK YOGURT
Since you didn't add yogurt culture to the cream before making butter, it cannot be used as culture. You can warm the buttermilk and add yogurt culture to it and set it in instapot and it will be real buttermilk or cultured buttermilk. And then onwards it can be used as culture. You can also try the green chilli method to turn your buttermilk into yogurt or cultured buttermilk. Hope this helps.
Can you just tell how much whipping cream added to yogurt cream...and one more thing do we need to mix whipping cream and yogurt cream right ..not with yogurt along with yogurt cream and whipping cream..?Can you just clear..or else keep detailed steps below vedio..Thanks..

I used heavy cream. Nothing in particular. Any full cream or heavy cream should work.
