I’ve been dancing for some time but it’s always been like self taught dances if that makes sense. I started taking actual dance classes my school offers, and I realized that it’s important to have a foundation down. Thank you for this video! Not only will it help with improving my abilities/knowledge as a dancer, but will come in a clutch when I join the freestyle circle 😂

Really cool video! I know most of those moves, but i never got the chance to ask people about the names.
    1) Why is the 2 Step called 2 Step when u actually are doing a "1 and 2" so its 2 counts but 3 steps.
    2) Shouldnt the Salsa Step be more the salsa kick? Because as i know the salsa step, it is with touching the floor at the front, and what you do here would make sense to me as a salsa kick.
    3) The Cross Step is a simple ball change, is it not?
Dont get me wrong, i love to be educated, and i believe you have more knowledge about this than i do. Are these just the names you learned, when you learned house, or do those names have a history and if so, do you know it and can you share? Maybe this could be a topic of a future video, or we could just have a videochat if you are bored and like to educate me/exchange experiences :)
I am teaching house myself and been dancing it for about 5-7 years, now quite sure. But i mainly come from HipHop:
Cheers! And thank you for the upload!

      1) 2-Step
"2" does not mean counting. It's about the toes. It's slang. “Toe Step” = “2-Step” because you step with toe.
      2) Salsa step
This is a step inspired by salsa dance. I think it was arranged by House Dance and became a kick. Maybe it's a step that used to touch the floor.
      3) Cross Step
Yes, that's right! It's called "ball change" in other genres.
I have been dancing House Dance for 20 years. I have been teaching in Japan for 18 years. I also know the history. Because I love house dance steps, music, history and culture.
You are a hardworking and nice dancer. I want to video chat. But I'm not good at English and can't speak. This is also written by Google Translate Hahaha :)
I had a lot of fun exchanging opinions with you. It was meaningful.
      thank you very much.

      I support you from Japan.

@@housedance-tutorial Ohhhhh arigato gozaimasu! Haha don't worry about the translation part, i have been to Japan and i love how so many people there use translators to communicate. I live in Germany and sadly don't speak any Japanese, but i love the culture, country and the people there. Been there before covid and even seen the sunrise on top of Fuji-san. Once the whole pandemic situation is over, i wanna visit Japan again! Then i'll come to your classes for sure, even if this will still take a while :D
First off big thank you for the explanations. Those really made a lot of sense and i learned so many things just from that!
I definitely will stick to your channel and use this opportunity to write to you in future.
Now knowing that you have to translate most comments and retranslate your response, is even more impressive, than the sheer fact that you answer to all of your viewers.
You are doing a really great job and i am very grateful for that :-)
