One thing I can't understand is if you loved your spouse with all your heart ♥️ how could you ever think about getting married or involved with anyone. I lost my husband 8 years and I will never get involved with another man. There's no man in this world who could make me feel like my husband did. I wish I had die with him.my joy of life is over.
It can happen. Not everyone is the same and one can love with all their heart and give until the end...and then, it is possible to find another to give love to. These people are not cheating on their spouse, who they were faithful to in sickness and in health. If you are still grieving, it is your journey and ai wish you well. Though some people heal differently.
While I understand how you feel as I don't feel like it's right for me to date either after 4 years as she is still very much on my mind and will always love her, I think it is possible to love someone else while still loving your late partner, as they say Grief is just love with nowhere to go. We both may get there one day who knows. I took leftovers from xmas lunch and rode miles into the wilderness yesterday just so I could sit in peace and quiet and spend some time remembering our time together without distractions, it's hard carrying that kind of love and not having someone to pass it on to, we should feel happy for those who have found a second chance, I don't think their original love has diminished they've just found another outlet . Hopefully you can have one in the physical world as well as the spiritual world (am not religious by the way), best of luck.
My husband died 9 years ago after our 36 year marriage. I've had no desire whatsoever to remarry. Not even a boyfriend, or whatever they're called these days. Mine was an amazing husband & father...and human.
I have been widowed twice. The first time after almost seventeen years, the second time after twenty seven years. The pain and trauma never disappear.
Nice story, God bless you both...

I understand exactly how you feel. I can't think of anyone replacing my husband.
