Honestly I can understand Malthel, getting ringed last minute and playing against players above your level gotta be super stressful, had that experience when i ringed a scrim for a Contenders team and I just felt out of place like 60% of the time LOL
i know thats why i say i do feel for him because he didnt make the best choice a lot of the time but he was starting from a pretty bad position
his best heroes in ow1 were by far doomfist and genji as well, which by s6 doomfist obviously was a tank and genji was not doing well. he basically got pulled out of retirement into a different game and a different meta from the one he had any success in

Viol2t is a clear case of someone with godlike aim but mentality and intelligence of 9th grader. But what makes him the goat is that his skills prevail all his shortcomings. He takes crazy gambit that usual pro players would think to be throwing move because of his skills and it usually works out and the fans love that. What this video don't show for that bit where Viol2t climes the window to get Ana in Kings row is that they won the match 3-0 and Viol2t was chosen as POTM.
I know you clearly couldn’t put every controversy but I’m genuinely surprised that you didn’t mention dellor, the pro ow player that got kicked out and banned from esports for saying the hard r 60 times in a row in the span of 30 seconds in a completely normal comp game.

Good video, genuinely solid editing. But maybe "Every Overwatch Controversy Explained" is a BIT generous given that this not only is basically just about Overwatch LEAGUE controversies (or at least only about controversies involving OWL players), but also is only covering maybe like one eight of even that.
Where's XQC making the gay comment about Muma? Where's Dragons having the longest losing streak in pro gaming history? Where's entire team rosters being comprised of players that aren't even from the country they're representing? Where's Sinatraa's fall from grace and having his OWL skin removed? Where's Dafran being banned from the World Cup? Where's OWL literally DYING? Like you kinda skipped most of the ACTUAL notable controversies in favor of... Super playing a random competitive match with some random nobody niche streamer who is bad at the game and doesn't even stream anymore?
And again, this is just about OWL player controversy, there's so much beyond this in regards to controversies with non-pro streamers, with balance updates and hero additions, with decisions in the actual game design itself, with monetization, with handling certain PR issues. At least specifying Overwatch LEAGUE in the title would make this closer to accurate.
Like this video is well done for what it does cover, but it is EXTREMELY not even approaching being "Every Overwatch Controversy". Which to be clear I think with your editing you could genuinely make a really good larger video that genuinely serves as a useful entertaining catalogue of all the controversies, albeit I'd say maybe stick to a specific part of OW, i.e making a video that catalogues all the controversies just from OWL and then maybe down the line another similar video about controversies in regards to decisions made by the devs for the game and then another video about non-pro OW streamer controversies.

While I do think it's funny to dunk on malthel, the "onlyfans pimping" accusations isn't really true. Most onlyfans models have people who DM other people in their place, to make you feel like you're actually talking to the model. Malthel was trying to get people to do that, not pimp out models. He was a terrible tracer at the pro level and that's just facts. There have been alot of tracer players on bad teams that could just carry the game by themselves and he was not one of them

I miss all the wild stuff in this community. only thing I ever saw was the first season of xQc's OWL career (2017) when his team (Dallas Fuel) lost to Houston Outlaws, Muma quoted him(?) during the post-game interview with 'rolled and smoked, my homies', and xQc then went on his own stream and was homophobic about Muma, leading to him being suspended from OWL for 4 matches, fined ($2,000), and suspended by his team for the rest of stage 1.
then, in 2018, he was toxic in the OWL stream chat and got banned from OWL for 4 more matches, then let go by his team so he could 'focus on streaming' (aka 'this man is a PR nightmare').
