@@flimsy364 If you connect your Twitch account to the game, you can randomly get an in-game item while watching a Twitch stream. This is actually how Valorant's Beta was originally launched, and now during big international events you can get titles or player cards from watching the stream long enough (they're pretty alright)

The only way they are alike is that it’s a tactical shooter with a T and CT side. Everything else is unique in its own way, and for some reason one of the main defenses on why CSGO is better is that you can trade skins and make money from it. That’s an amazing thing and all but it’s not something EVERYONE cares about doing. People like me just want play skins in both games and (attempt) to frag out with the “aimbot” skins.
@@estebang4538 One more thing that makes them different is that val is much more fast phased atleast from my experience in esports i have seen some cs esports rounds and they are going to like 30-10 seconds left while val atleast in Pacific the rounds are often only 30-60 seconds

the drops take like max 40 minutes to get, and the whole champions is on going for over a month, i dont think people join in on the last day of this big event for the drops when they had over a month before almost daily streams.

@@Dafreshcut more like copied all its core mechanics and made them easier. It’s basically temu CS. A competitor would be something like R6 which is actually unique, has real personality and doesn’t look like a generic, corporate soulless husk of a game unlike valorant.

It still takes inspiration from Call Of Duty, but it added the “hero shooter” vibe to it + 2-3 different mechanics, where the characters essentially have very similar gunplay. It’s the same case for Valorant - it took concepts from CS but added their own twist to it and added the hero shooter concept, with the same gunplay for all characters.
As for personality, Valorant has more personality than you want to believe it has. The agents give the game a lot of flavor, because they each have a role in the world of the game.
Y’all really just dislike Valorant because you can’t accept it performs as well as it does in esports and in the gaming scene in general. I was a former Legendary Eagle CS GO player, I’m not dumb enough to act like a game’s existence hurts my pride.
@@Dafreshcut This is a delusional take. You're trying to equate valorant to R6 in how much they deviate from their respective source of inspiration. R6 has completely different core mechanics compared to Call of Duty and they differ in so many ways it really does make R6 unique. While valorant just straight up copied the CS core mechanics but dumbed down to appeal to a more casual crowd and make it more accessible (which really just means easier). Didn’t even bother to give it anything other than abilities and a soulless pastel-like style. oh and a FOMO anti-consumer store with mediocre skins made by 6 overworked riot employees lol. And the abilities don’t give it the personality or flavor you seem to have convinced yourself it does. Because there are games out there that actually use their inspiration to create a new experience. So by comparison valorant is total corporate slop devoid of any creativity.

The idea of placement, utility counting and timing, calculating buys relative to economy, guns, and ult charge and shields is just to complex. Imo the abilities just add a random factor to the game that is pretty useless unless you get the right char to pick and spam your abilities into choke points…
To be fair, AWP is Arctic warfare police version with 7.62 nato, so CS just took an IRL name while Valorant changed up the name a bit

Funny thing is, the SSG 08 fires 7.62x51 NATO cartridge as well. Which most likely means that the AWP is not an AWP but an AWM chambered in .308 Lapua Magnum, thus the damage difference.

I used to play CS and I also tried Valorant but I dropped it because I didn't like all the different agents with their abilitys and prefeered CS's way of handling this.
I never understood the comparisons between the two games in the first place because they are not similiar other then the fact that they are both 5 v 5 tactical shooters.
Everything else is entirely different.

about the broken agents and no ban system. The reason why it doesnt matter so much in val is because both teams can have the same agent so its not an unfair advantage of whoever can pick it first like in league

I think Ive ran into maybe 2 confirmed cheaters in my Valorant lobbies where Ive been playing for 3 years. (the way I know is by getting the red screen of death in a comp game). But when I play CS, I think I had 3 cheaters in 1 game alone.
If sentinels make champs 2024. valorant will break the 2 million + peak viewership easily.

@AirenYT and @TeetsTV are the best channels for breaking down specific valorant pro games. they help simplify and explain all the seemingly random utility that gets thrown every round. and they breakdown different strats and executes or defensive setups, really interesting to watch and it helped me understand valo esports way better.

yeah the chat meant the overtime system in valorant is dumb. in cs, winner of overtime is decided by best of 6 rounds or smth, not by the ping pong overtime system like valorant
Yep, u cant have a overtime in a Way harder Competitive scene like CS, players have been mechanically perfected to a point where any failure of timing, spacing, aiming, strafing, etc (U cannot revive, instant and rechargable dash, on point smoke, on point megalaser, wallhack habilities, or track spells or become invisible) its a lost round. Because they will have a infinite loop, trying to win 2 rounds in a row against another 5 top TierS players. Now, in Valorant, there are so many random things that can happen that you can beat a team by making a thousand mistakes, Tenz said it on stream. The metagame is also so changing that you cannot perfect yourself to the point that CS allows you to. One day you are the best in the world, the next you are useless, as has been demonstrated in the last 3 years. Tenz himself said that more random things have happened to him in a common Valorant game than in years of CS.
And if i use tenz as a reference is just cause valorant average players are tenz meatriders, another guys with a lot of experience in fps games sais the same words like Tarik, Shroud, Mixwell, Horcus, etc….

So, if we're talking about BO6 that means whoever got to 4 rounds first on the overtime wins the map, right? (because best of 6 rounds is 4 rounds win) So what would happen if our team got 3 rounds, while the other also got 3 rounds. They repeat it. So what you're ultimately saying is rather than having a pingpong overtime system of 2 rounds in a row, we should change it to 2 actual rounds + 2 ping pong rounds until we get the winner... So, I would say BO5 is better than BO6 so that on round 5 it would be a tie breaker for the game.

Yeah from all that Ive seen and heard, people will migrate to Val, like it and play it consistently, and no matter what happens they always treat CS with respect and not trash on it for the sake of a petty argument.
But almost everytime I hear CS players talk about Val, it's always a d*ck measuring contest on literally everything: maps, guns, gameplay, esports stats, you name it. It always sounds so petty and honesty pointless.
Not to say that toxic Val players dont exist, but generally these are the interactions I see between the two games. I just wish this whole "worse copycat" mentality will just stop. People arent morally correct for bashing a game like they're some toddler, I wish these people grew up and got off the internet every once in a while, it's never as serious as they make it out to be
The drops for Sen vs Gen.G were for watching half an hour of the Grand Finals (~ 3/4 of a full game). The peak was for game 7 IIRC

Reason operator called Op bcs when u winning the round u have 5 second i think, to do something like picking a gun and if there is an operator drop from enemy or ur team, ur team will tell u to take the operator for next round so your teamate dont need to buy it. 1sec for typing, 1 sec to read, and 1 sec to search the gun

On the topic of Benjyfishy, theres an Asian pro named Sayaplayer who was originally a pro in OW1 who used Widowmaker. Moved over to VALORANT and became known for his vertical operator flicks, since he had widow experience making vertical flicks much easier for him.

What the Enemies are playing
What your team is playing
What abilities they can use
What abilities you have to CounterUse
What the Economy is
Whos flanking and whos entering
When to flank and when to enter
because its a low chance to get same composition in both teams, so everything has to be individually calculated every step of the match

We loose. 15:15 if i remember is one vote needed, so a single person can decide if 9 other people completely waste their time, like a solid hour for zero gains. Highest score I've earned from a draw was 1 rr. That one guy decided my hour will be wasted, yet if i were to dodge and waste maybe 20 seconds for everyone, ill get a warning.
Like no, they wanted to surrender, then make that person the looser, we all get RR from his account, so that's 20-30 RR per person they loose. if everyone wants to surrender then no one looses RR. nor gains.
He didn't say anything about LOUD dominating VCT for 2 years straight, but mentioned PRX and FNC.
