I discovered you about a week ago. And it really opened my eyes to how much i shut down and was supressing who i am and how to use shadow questions to find the reasoning in my own head. Thank you for opening my eyes and giving helpful advice that i can use to slowly get my confidence back in my self. Its a work in progress and some days are harder than others, but im going to keep trying
this philosophy changed my life here it is tension gives perfection relivence so stop doing things with a perfectionist goal that has no tension. tip dont give tension to perfection thats just creating problems that arent there try the goal is find tension and fix it up until the lack of tension mean its no longer needed. still aiming high.
2:16 - why? Because my parents paid no attention to me, were always in a bad mood and the environment at home was hostile, violent and depressive, so the only time i had a little bit of attention or cooperation was when i acted out a skit or did something silly. Thus i got conditioned into thinking that way every time i am around people anywhere anytime. I think that sums the underlying issue up quite nicely.
I really appreciate the work that you do, Julien. You take people away from self pity and more into seeing how life's largely what you make it. Asking the hard questions matters.
I don't have social anxiety that much... So I don't need these sessions.. but I do need therapy... He is acting as a therapist for me.. thank you Julian
I feel like I made progress just watching this! I don't have the same problems as she has, mine are guy problems... but shadow stuff, and working out what kind of questions to ask, and how to ask them, and how to answer them... priceless!

Her tearing up at the end, gets ya choked up for her. LOL Embarrassment is a real thing, and I think it's what keeps so many great minds and people back. One of my favorite things to do-and what I also simultaneously tend to avoid-is to sit within myself and ask myself the type of shadow questions addressed here. I have such insane light bulb moments of revelations. The reason I find myself avoiding it even though I love doing it, is because growth is difficult. It's painfully rewarding. Thanks Julien. I'm going to start my day off tomorrow doing this.
The worst case scenario that truly bothers me is they thinking that I'm going crazy or insane and that's making my mind goes blank and I don't even know what to do or how to act normally when this scenario pops up in my mind
She felt life hast treated her bad,but being so lucky to be on stage and getting a session from Julian sure is a good payback from life. ❤brilliant session
Shadow questions hurt because they're powerful and that's where the resistance is. I realised it takes some practice to catch that resistance and dive into it. Quick question: Hey julien, when it comes to trail of whys, we can always ask a one more why right? Like, why were you a self-destructive artist in the first place?
Yes, you can go multiple directions with it, get creative and dive as deep as possible, he said that made him feel special in a video, that will be the answer
@@JulienHimself Okay but what convinced you for the first time that you're only significant if you destroy yourself? there must be some incident right? I'm trying to link this to understand how to dive to the core for me.

Man I’ve been avoiding myself my whole life makes me so sad. It’s so weird how your parents way of thinking gets applied to you whether you want it or not. I used to be so scared of being myself in front of my dad especially, just seeing him would shake me inside knowing he’s judging me. I modified myself to seek his approval and I never got it probably because he knew I wasn’t being myself but he doesn’t know he kinda caused it and It’s okay I forgive him but it’s still so hard to be myself especially in front of him. At 7:17 and have to stop to comment. My first long term partner developed psychotic schizophrenia at 23 and it was the hardest thing I (22 at the time) had ever been through as a support partner because I didn't know what was happening at first and trying to combat all of the paranoia and volatility that comes with it is incredibly difficult. I definitely feel like that experience affected me and my relationships after that, without question.
I have been there. It is something else to be resilient and transform oneself from an experience that most people will never experience or understand the level of love it takes. ❤
