    Great job on this comparison review! I’m 6 a year owner of e- bikes. I’ve also been a bicycle mechanic for over 29 years. I know a good product when I see it. Rad Power bikes are definitely best bang for the buck. Especially the latest 2018 versions. Anyone considering an e-bike should do their research and see what’s best for their needs. As for me I found that the Rad Power bikes to be at least equal to e-bikes selling in the $2500-$3500 range. That said, everyone has to decide what works best for themselves. Happy trails!

    as a sondors owner.... DO NOT BUY A SONDORS! My sondors fell apart after 90 days (battery died, freewheel broke, chain broke, kickstand fell off etc)
    and sondors 'customer service' (if you can call it that!) told me 'too bad, its over the 30 days warrenty'
    ONLY 30 DAYS. inasane

    Ive put 11,000 miles on my sondors X. Upgraded the controller/lcd/shocks. More acceleration than the Rad, easier to modify with battery box. Either buy the cheapest sondors fat bike and upgrade battery, controller and motor or buy the sondors X.

    The comparison you do here is not good, the 350W vs. 750W, 36V vs. 48V not a fair comparison to start. (Mind you anps were similar ) Plus you did pay $1000 vs $1500 which is a lot like 50% more. So what I see is a cheap vs not so cheap comparison.

      Next time look at the pricing paid. I was very transparent about the price. There is only about a $350 difference at the time. Now their bikes have gone up in cost. Let's hope their quality has to

    I bought a Rad Rover in May 2017 and love it. It's on the heavy side (of course), but I've found it to be dependable and great fun to ride. I've ridden on road/off road 80%/20% here in Utah. On road, I inflate the tires pretty solid, and deflate for off road. On road, I really like the fat tires, since I have a more solid feel at 30-45 mph on the steep canyon downhills, and the handling is good and stable. Off road, the fat tires are of course great, and with the PAS I can handle everything from gravel, dirt and single track, even slick rock (I did the Slick Rock Trail in Moab a few weeks ago).
    For the steep canyons around Salt Lake City, I can do a 12-mile continuous climb and still have one-bar of battery life left, and that's using the PAS (pedal assist mode) at levels 3 to 5 (4-5 on the steepest sections).
    I don't use the "throttle" mode very often (no pedaling), but it works well. I've adjusted the control panel for a higher top speed, and on throttle alone and with PAS I can get assist up to 23 MPH.
    The seven speeds are sufficient for the most part, but I found on the slick rock that I was really missing a lower gear for better (slower) hill climbing, so I decided to upgrade to an 8-speed DNP Epoch Freewheel 11-34T Nickel Plated sprocket ($55) and a Shimano Altus M310 8-spd shifter ($25) with a new cable and chain ($40). MUCH better for climbing, and I still gained a little on the top end too. A perfect mix for a small investment, and the change was reasonably easy to do.
    I've found that for me, I'm getting 25-30 miles from the battery, but that's considering that in my riding in Utah, it's most steep climbs, so in a less mountainous area or "flatland", I think the range of 30-40+ miles is more than possible.
    I highly recommend this bike. For a $1500 bike, you get lots of features, and it fits my 6' 210-pound body well, and I don't see any need to spend more on a fat tire ebike. Front shock, comfortable seat and does a great job.

    I ended up with a Rad on the advice of a Sonders owner who told me for a little more $, the Rad was a much better bike. This vid seems to support that conclusion. I can see why Sonders owners would be unhappy with this review however calling the bike "junk" and such. No one likes to be told something they have invested time and $ on something, only be told it's a POS as this review implies. I can't confirm or deny the conclusions of this vid only having experience with the Rad, but I don't see anyone being unhappy with the Rad for the $, and seems more mixed reviews over the Sonders.

    Don't buy an ebike . Build your own and educate yourself. I built my first ebike over two years ago . I ride it nearly every day. After two batteries and nearly 40k miles it still puts a smile on my face when I twist the throttle and hear nothing but the wind in my face and that distinctive motor hum and feeling that I am not a slave to the system the best I can

    • @AdammJarvis
      @AdammJarvis  5 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      You're not a slave to the system by buying an ebike 🙄 unless you're too ignorant to know you're a slave to the system under the same mentality by purchasing off the shelf parts to piece together a bike. Only difference between some of these manufacturers and you is that some actually have the tooling or access to the tooling to have their visions created. I agree tho that a custom built ebike will mostly fill the needs better if the consumer while mass produced products are better fit for those lacking time and/or knowledge and seek a universal fit 👍

    Adam, this is Scott, the sondors member that got the gold bike instead of the charcoal. You copied and posted my my post about being upset about getting the wrong bike but you didn't bother to read my follow so I will fill you in on what sondors customer service did to correct the mistake. Marcia from sondors contacted me the next day and said she would have the correct bike to me within a week. I told her that after waiting 2 and a half months for these bikes we were anxious to ride them so we assembled and rode the gold one. At that point she couldn't take it back so instead she sent me 2 complimentary LCD screens for both bikes. Now the good part, the beauty of being a member of the sondors owners group, a great bunch of people. Another member stepped up and contacted me directly and said he has a brand new still in the box charcoal bike and would be willing to trade me for the gold. Don't you own a sondors yourself? You were such a proponent of sondors while you were a member of the group and all of a sudden after you've been booted you are calling sondors junk? Sounds like you are bitter because you got booted.

    • @Volfan812
      @Volfan812 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      One other thing. I got my bikes after you got booted so how did you get that screenshot of my post? Sounds like you created a fake profile just so you could rejoin and troll our group.

    • @AdammJarvis
      @AdammJarvis  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Scott! I appreciate the update!! Glad to hear you got what you wanted.
      Now regarding your situation - the fact still remains the same that you were sent the wrong bike. However you'd like to justify that is up to you as it's your time/money/energy. I did mention in my review that there ARE a lot of great people on the Sondors group. That's what community support is all about, if you can get it. And yes I do own a Sondors. I bought a Sondors 7 and was pissed to learn the Sondors X was back up for pre-sale two months after I bought my Sondors 7. Such is their game of pre-orders... However if you watched my whole video you'd see that I do enjoy some parts of the bike and that this is a comparison review. In my own personal opinion yes the Sondors is Junk when equipped nearly identical for the Rad in the same price range. And I'm not bitter because I got booted. The good folks of the community didn't boot me. The stuck up asshole admin who is biased did. Their actions to delete/regulate the group beyond any reasonable means is a huge factor of this review video. Bitter I am not - just voicing my thoughts on the situation. That's what videos like this are all about. So other adults can make informed choices and receive guidance in their product search. I also assure you that I got booted AFTER your post. Unless you posted up on another Sondors group. I have no desire to "troll" your group or community. I'm sure this review video will hit hard for MANY Sondors owners. End of the day these are my opinions and if any Sondors owners want to get pissed over my point of view... bummer. They should learn how to internet better

    • @Volfan812
      @Volfan812 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Adamm Jarvis not pissed at all. It's like the Ford Chevy debate. Ford owners think their vehicle is superior and vice versa when at the end of the day they are both great vehicles. 3 months ago I didn't anything about e-bikes. I joined both the sondors group and rad group to educate myself on e-bikes and over the last 3 months I've seen just as many problems and complaints on the rad group as the sondors. To each his own. Enjoy your Rad.

    • @AdammJarvis
      @AdammJarvis  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly. That's what this video is to support. Help people choose. The more information out there the better, right? It shouldn't upset the masses. End of the day as long as you're happy with what you bought that's all that matters. No one can take that away from you. I'm sure tho there are a few Sondors owners out there that are pissed at me because I guess they feel I'm stealing future friends from them or some silly nonsense lol

    I can attest to the idea that Sondors' customer service is sub-par. Every time you try calling their number listed on their website, you're always greeted by an answering machine. I had to start posting on their Instagram to get their attention. I ended up canceling my order and going elsewhere where they actually pick up the goddamn phone.

    Thanks for the review. I have been doing a lot of pre-purchase research on fat tire ebikes. The Rad Rover far exceeded the competition. Explains why they are one of the top ebike companies in the US. I also used my AMEX to purchase my Rad Rover. It arrives in a few days.

    "Hopefully I can start a flame war" pretty much SAYS IT a bout your intentions, honesty, and expertise. Yeah, not going to play pathetic games. Here's some advice. Compare the rather well engineered Sondors MXS against the Rad Rover, and delete this rather defective outdated 'review (try complaint letter') down.
    MAybe also watch some EBR reviews to gain understanding of how a REAL REVIEW is co structed..

    • @AdammJarvis
      @AdammJarvis  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To correct you - I said hopefully I don't start a flame war.
      Second correction - why would you compare a "well engineered mxs to a radrover"? Clearly you missed the point of a real world review. At the time of this video it's all I could get from sondors do to their business model. Outside of a few battery or power output specs being not perfectly even - the rest of the bike parts line up. A Sondors bike with a 750w motor isn't going to have a better paint job than the one they slap a 350w motor on.
      Further more I don't need to take down this video. It's for reference and educational purposes. You have the choice to not watch so I suggest you just don't watch my videos or any older videos from anyone on TH-cam.
      Lastly I do watch ebr reviews. Good stuff. I just have a different take and perspective. Don't like my content - don't watch. Certainly don't bitch about it either like I'm your father telling you what to do. You're an adult. Act like it.

    My wife is 5-4 and has no problem stepping over the Sondors frame. And if you would have compared the X7 version with the Radrover you would have a more apples to apples comparison. And the conversion to a headlamp is not as over exaggerated as you flailed about with wires, many companies make direct connections due to huge backing of Sondors owners.

    • @AdammJarvis
      @AdammJarvis  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Height is a vague way to gauge. If you actually watched/listened to my review video you'd remember that I didn't specifically say anyone of XX height will have issues with the Sondors. I was very open about the design of the frame and how it could be of issue to folks and that's something the should consider as it's a very often over-looked portion when purchasing a bike. I have many friends who are also 6'4 like I am that can't reach the box of mac-n-cheese on the top shelf. Everyones build is different.
      Also I COULD have gotten a more apples to apples comparison video if I got the Sondors X...wait - you mean power wise? Sondors X still under powered (torque/speed) compared to the Rover -that's right lol.
      About the headlights - You mean that over priced $8 dollar china junk headlight they sell for $99?? Seriously - go look that headlight up on Alibaba. We are designing a headlight specific for e-bikes. I am VERY well aware of the headlight offerings out there for e-bikes so I'll call your bluff right now on that.
      Further more - The Sondors bike direct from the manufacture doesn't include the headlight. Most people will not modify their bikes to get headlight leads controlled by the bike. This is a direct apples to apples comparison. Good day.

    Nice review. Rads shipping isnt always that fast, but it is still pretty quick. They at least a couple years ago had a little lead time getting product out, but it was really quick and responsive. The customer support is second to none. I really enjoyed seeing the in depth look at the sondors flaws.
    The rad owners group is definitely a great resource. Been a memeber there for almost a year.
    I would have thought the sondors was better priced at the original 500$ intro for the old yellow one. I definitely wouldnt buy one after seeing this. The fixed nature of the battery and that stupid cover were always a turn off. I need a battery that comes off and doesnt require a process to go through each time. You can really tell sondors was like whats the cheapest thing i can sell to then sell upgrades for. Rad was like, whats the lowest cost complete product we can be proud to stand behind. The wagon i had was the nicest motorized bike ive owned.

  • @HalNordlin
    @HalNordlin 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I felt like the middle part of the video was fair. You pay more for the Rover and if you want all of the features it has, it is probably worth it. However my Sondors costed me $700 total to my door and I love it! I did investigate Rad before purchasing my Sondors, but just didn't feel I would get use out of them.. Sondors was designed to be an affordable bike for the masses as most people will not be able or willing to shell out $1500 for a bike.
    Didn't feel like the "dig" on the Sondors Facebook group was too fair. I've been on it for a couple of months and I've found a lot of people willing to help people learn more about how to enjoy their bikes.
    Both Rad and Sondors are good bikes, but for different reasons. Investigate both and decide!

    For me the battery was the biggest problem on the Sonders. I like to ride far and carry spare batteries. You cannot really do that with the Sonders, not easy on and off release for the battery. The other thing is I like to be a little stealthy. That giant battery case and bright colors of the Sonders folding bike also turned me off. So I went with another brand of ebike.

  • @jamesorsulak5999

    I think this was a very fair bike review, and I agree with it... well, the parts that I can... I am in the middle of my research of an e-bike and the RadWagon (my personal style of bike)
    The website for Sondors doesn't have a lot of information (e.g. - payload, seat height range, stand over or frame size, list of equipment... etc) RadWagon does...
    I had to look for TH-cam videos of the "Sondors X" to find some of the information that really should be on the site... Just saying... Great Review!!
    I appreciate it!! Cheers

    Loved the video. There are a variety of fat tire ebikes that are nice rides, but I agree the Rad line is great. My main complaint with Sondors is, despite being very friendly, the person answering questions in regards to their line, didn't have any technical info. Crank Arm length, top tube length, crank manufacturer, fork manufacturer and travel, etc... Would really improve confidence if reps had a good handle on product info.

    Since the review was a couple of years ago. It would be interesting if Sondors had taken any of your issues in mind and corrected them? Looking at the folders and I just kind of like aesthetically the Sondors better. It is, however more important to get the most "Bang for my Buck".

      I've had my Sondors original fat bike for a year now. Not one single issue. I wanted a Rad Bike but it was just too much money for me to spend on something that I wasn't sure how much I'd use it. The more I ride my Sondors the more I want to ride. Almost every day now. I just ordered my second $50 backup battery. I learned from TH-cam that a 36v, 4.4ah hoverboard battery can be used on the Sondors so I bought one and spliced a plug onto my battery cradle. The original $350 Sondors battery is 36v, 8.8ah. I can go 15 miles on the spare battery. I'll have my second one in a couple of days so my range will be between 30-60 miles depending on riding conditions and how much I pedal . . .

    The shifter Rad Rover uses costs $15, the slap guard is $5, getting an acera derailleur is $25. So, the sondors can get a couple upgrades really cheaply and easily changed. The motor power and battery are the pricey things to change. You need to pick those correctly or you are sort of stuck.

    • @AdammJarvis
      @AdammJarvis  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The motor was the biggest compliant for me. It sounded like shit compared to the Rover. Honestly I can get past the cheaper parts on the sondors. Frame and tires aside - it's the overall motor itself that was my #1 issue. It just screamed "I'm an ebike!!!". The best way I can describe it is a brand new car motor sounds soft and compliant. Compared to a 1990 Honda Accord with the muffler falling off and idling a little rough.

    I just bought a Sondors off Craigslist. The previous owner disconnected the front brakes because it made a rattling noise. Upon examination, I found the front fork had misaligned brake caliper mountings so it was impossible for the pads to clamp the disc evenly. Someone had also shaved off some aluminum (brake mount and fork) to make it barely fit. There was no sign of an accident or abuse, so I'd attribute this to poor manufacturing quality. The battery is also flaky after 1100 miles as per the LCD display. I emailed Sondors support and got no response (I was warned). Apparently the previous owner got so fed up with it, he sold it for $200. Spare parts are way to expensive, so if I need replacements, I'd just rip out all the proprietary Sondors hardware and replace with generics. But this being my first e-bike, I have no regrets and can understand why everyone enjoys them.

    He's 100% correct. I had a sondors and it was crap!! Very heavy and slow. FORGET about going up hills. The sondors has 0 torque and after you climb one hill even with pedal assist it drain you battery. Having only one gear sucks as well. The bike Max's out on speed very quickly. Also the battery starts to die from Green to yellow the second you start riding it. Sondors is more of a toy than a e bike or even bicycle. You can not ride the bike with out the petal assist,even on flat road it's extremely hard to petal. Sure you can buy upgrades but even for the basic " better battery" up grade ur looking at close to 400 . Now your 850 dollar sondors turned in to 1250 dollars and it's still the slow 350 w motor ,still the crappy break system,still the single single gear. Trust me ik. On the flip side the RR comes with the better battery bigger motor better break system ,your able to change gears and go up hills effortlessly. I sold my sondors and got my RR shipped to my door for 1499 not a penny more and there is no comparison between the two bikes the radrover is better in every way possible. Take it from someone who's owned both there's no reason to buy a Saunders and "upgrade" when you can buy radrover and just be done with it.

    I agree with a lot of your views and I agree the Rad Rover is as I see it it is a much better bike in over all better components higher quality and over all toughness than the Sondors or many other bikes in the same type of bike. I test rode the Rad Rover on 3 different rides all over the town I live in. maybe 10 miles in total and its a tough rugged and very nice bike. I also test rode the Magnum Peak with 27.5 in wheels 2.25 wide. def not a Fat Bike. test rode that about the same even went through the same paces. did buy the Magnum peak and happy with it. But loved the Rad Rover so much Im going to try my best to build something like it. using a fat bike and add a motor kit. im building a battery now so I can have two Ebikes always ready to go for switching in different weather and terrain . maybe 4 by the time im done. including a three wheeled reversed recumbent Bike I plan to build using plans I got online.. Need to improve my welding skills. Again I wanted to just say the Rad Rover is a great fat bike and I know I can make a better fat be bike than the sondors. I cant with the Rad its a great bike. I even studded my tires DYI and have ridden all around all winter so far. the Rad rover I test rode had studded tires and it was a real monster I loved it. The Sondors is a decent entry E Fat Bike and for what you get its a good bike but for a little more you get a whole lot more . my Magnum Peak is a great all around trail city commute bike. tough enough for rugged trails but it is no good in 2 to 3 inches of snow even with studded tires. Its great and fast but lacks some for Maine's weather 6 months of the year. The Rad has to be better in the snow I know it is just looking at it. and sand and some mud...just more fun
    . have fun riding. Vic

    • @AdammJarvis
      @AdammJarvis  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey no problem! I just placed the vinyl in areas to cover up the company lettering. I also placed it on other parts of the bike that see a bit of natural wear like where the cables rub or where I normally lock my bike. Sure you can see it when you actually focus in on it. But at a glance or 5 feet away you'd never know it was there as it blends in very very well. Of course the white bike is a bit more of a challenge. But on the black - 3M matte finish is the way to go for sure.

    Obviously those who made this video and are commenting on it are biased (I include myself)... If you want the most factual reviews of ebikes, I recommend electricbikereview.com/ . This guy doesn't throw any punches and just shows the features and pluses / minuses of each bike. There are reviews of both Rad and Sondors there. Every bike is built for a purpose, so really of the popular bikes there really aren't any that "suck", they just might not be the right one for you...

    • @AdammJarvis
      @AdammJarvis  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wouldn't say this video isn't factual. It's a real world, real person side by side comparison of two bikes in the same price range up against each other. This video was intended to compare two bikes side by side at which one is a better value. There are PLENTY of single bike reviews out there. No side by side direct comparison to make it easier for those to see the differences side by side.

    Superb review. I was concerned about one issue: A competing reviewer took apart the Rad bike and noted the rear hub motor did not look like a typical Bafang 750 motor -- more like a Bafang 350 motor. It was smaller and lighter than all other Bafang 750's. This concerns me a great deal. What do you think? Thanks.

I will be on road mostly but some trail riding when needed, during my national journey. What bike would you suggest, especially if I can charge on the go. I know my best bet is a second battery or two charge while riding the first. Including batteries I don’t want to spend 2,000

      See my other video reviewing the origin8 supercells. Like any fat tire bike it will be harder. Add on batteries, motors and wire and you're adding to the overall weight. You can do it but it's like pushing a truck compared to a car. Once you get either a truck or car rolling - they are easier to maintain.

    Regarding good-looking welds, welding by definition makes a metal connection stronger then the metal tubes themselves. But stronger relative to what? Much depends on the gauge of the aluminum tubes. I speak from experience with a cheap Chinese frame that cracked on the seat tube. I had it repaired bye a very expert welder he is qualified for a nuclear reactors and he were marked on house in the aluminum was. Not saying there aren't good frames out of China and especially not saying anything about Taiwan which has made very good tools and machines for about 40 years now and Insiders new for a long time that the cheaper Taiwan price didn't mean cheaper quality. When you talk about frames I think you must talk about the gauge of the tubes and whether they are double-butted and so forth.

    Why did you say at 11m57sec that it is a prototype that WE are building. Do you work for Rad or do business with them, because you said it comes standard with the bike.If so it can be seeing as a conflict of interest, can you explain that? Adamm Jarvis Since you "forgot" to mention what a crap front light the Rad has (complaints about wires failing are rampant/low lumens/bouncy as hell since mounted on fork than frame), it's clear there's some self-serving biased opinions in the review. • @thomaswetterhahn2346
    @thomaswetterhahn2346 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I don't think it is the fairest comparison that you could have made using the 350w Sondors vs the 750w Radrover. You also did not mention all of the add-ons such as the rear rack, saddle bags, fenders and other add-on accessories on the bike shown that are an extra expense and makes the Radrover look more substantial when it is actually not included with the original purchase price. That is close to a $2000 set up on the Radrover as shown in this video. Since you did compare the two bikes as similar cost, one should note that the Sondors is 25% less cost and you really could have used the steel frame one at 40% less than the Radrover. I agree that the frame design on the Radrover is a superior design but the exposed battery and controller are definitely not a superior design compared to the Sondors. What if sand and dirt gets in that battery keyswitch and the controller and wiring is right there ready to get snagged pelted with rocks and debris coming off the rear tire as you ride. You want your electronics protected even if they are "weather resistant" and it also allows for cleaner cable management. The controller on the Radrover is also mounted with cheesy u-clamps on the seat tube. On most of these electric bikes that I have seen, it looks like a regular bike with an electric kit added on as an afterthought as opposed to the Sondors. Sondors solved the horrible aesthetics by simply moulding a plastic housing to protect and clean up the look. That housing must only be a few milimeters wider that the battery itself so if you were to hit the housing, you would also hit a battery without the housing. The grips are a non-issue because you said the Sondors grips are nice with good grip and then you say they feel cheap in the same breath so that is contradictory. Maybe the pleather grips get slippery in the rain, who knows. You say the Sondors headset is nice and you should have stopped there but you added the "not your style" so that is not an issue either. On the Radrover, in my opinion, there is too much going on with all the controls on the right side of the handlebars and the Sondors is much simpler and cleaner even if the throttle is flimsy (I agree with that assessment). I don't buy the "I can't reach the throttle with my thumb" argument because you want that action to be on purpose and not accidental so the extra movement may be intended for safety. On the Radrover, the gear shifter (or Damn shifter!) is way over to the left and your palm will be resting on the throttle which could be a problem. The plastic chain guard, headlight and chain-slap guard could be added to the Sondors easily for less that $50 total. The kickstand is a non-issue since you push the Sondors hard into the sand causing the back tire to lift up and are gentle setting down the Radrover. The Sondors rims have the relief holes that lighten the bike slightly but more importantly, soften the ride which the Radrover does not incorporate in their design. On the Sondors, I would attach a leash to the rubber grommets on the battery housing so that they don't get lost or dropped. Both bikes are great and I wouldn't classify the Sondors as junk but more as a less expensive bike that allows room for personal modifications if desired. I am personally thinking about buying the 500w Sondors and adding an identical 500w Bafang motor to the front hub and running both motors and controllers off the 48v battery with a single throttle for the same price as the Radrover. I would consider the Radrover if it concealed the components in a housing and I don't understand why they don't make one that form fits in there. It's like driving a car with no hood. The triangular bags that are available as an aftermarket add-on are not a good solution either. Sondors can keep their consumer prices lower because they wait 90-120 days between fabrication runs so that the order quantity is as high as possible and production costs will in turn become lower. That is a great business model. All companies have cancellations and returns that they have to deal with...ever RadPowerBikes. You should make an add on for the flimsy throttle for Sondors and make a battery/controller housing for RadPowerBikes as an add on too. That housing would sell out faster than you could make them and it would barely be wider than the battery. The Sondors Fold-x has the battery and controller inside the frame and that is badass. Radmini folds but has all the equipment exposed. Sondors is a better designer. I think that covers everything that I have to say.

    • @AdammJarvis
      @AdammJarvis  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The video is about the bikes as they come in their price range. You are far off the $2000 mark. End of the day the video hit the mark about the points they share. I'll never own a Sondors again unless they can prove to me they've done better. Sondors lovers can try and defend all they want but end of the day it's all a waste when ownership is proof.

    I bought a Sondors Thin about two years ago. It worked fine for about six months then the pedals would rotate even when coasting which was a little disheartening and a huge fall risk. I took it to two different bicycle shops that deal with electric bikes but they were unable to fix it due to the fact that the Sondors bike needed proprietary tools to get into the mechanism and that’s super stupid for an online company. Dealing with their customer service was such a pain that I just decided to put the bike into storage and go with a Trek. At times cheap isn’t the best option.
