I would still take a Ford after my last 2 GM trucks completely shit the between 50-75k. cracked cylinder head and transmission gone. So sad what GM has become.
I've been thinking about that for like 10 years. Why do car makers still ship halogen bulbs in large parts of their lineup? The LED bulbs are barely more expensive like 20 bucks more per bulb. Even if you change every tiny light inside and out. You'd probably only be up $500. And I think damn near everyone would like to have them. They have potentially way longer life time then halogen ones. And give a more modern look .
This is the same msrp my XLT 302A 2.7 had in Oct 2019. At the time I got a 11k + discount and walked out of the door with my Truck 🛻 for a total price of $39,250 with bed liner $600 and floor mats $175 added. Discounts make the difference. If you have the means to buy now good for you. it is worth getting it. They do have better technology now. Mine is parked in my garage now and getting ready to take her to Hershey park with the family!
Sooner or later the truck manufacturers will run out of people willing to pay over $50k MSRP for the equivalent of an F150 STX. This can’t be sustained long term without significant damage to sales volume. Unless of course individual salaries increase on par with inflation. I’ve purchased many new vehicles and I cringe at the thought of paying MSRP. I can’t be the only one feeling that way. Time will tell.
I have been waiting 3 years to purchase a new lariat, my 2010 is rusting away, has good resale value, repairs and appearance is annoying me to the point that... I put my down on a new one yesterday. I was a bit rushed because they are going up, AGAIN!, 3300$ tomorrow (Monday apr25th) in Canada. It's mind blowing the more you wait for market to noralise, (thinking your a being smart and responsible), the more the opposite happens.. So the positive in my situation, by reserving the lariat yesterday, my new tuck will be worth an extra 3300$ when I own it, and by shopping a couple dealers, I was able to get 4k under MSRP, so total 7300$ of value found.. I would of never have paid full MSRP, still bought a new expensive Ford tho.. 🤔

If you go to a legit dealer the 60k msrp price is NOT the price you will pay. My 18 f150 was stickered at 54k, after trade, deals, discounts, ect.. I paid 30k. My 22 f150 that I just traded for stickered at 60k msrp I only paid 26k for. Just use common sense and know who you're buying from
a dealer around has a new regular cab ford 4x4 with the 3.5 ecoboost..and it’s not even loaded ...they have it for 49899.00 ....these prices are insane ..!!!
Is it just me or should LED headlights be standard on any Trim level truck? I don't think there are any cars that doesn't come with LED lights so why should Trucks come with halogen lights still? I mean even just for safety. LED lights are just better at night for what they charge for trucks LED's shouldn't be an option anymore
Not too much a fan of the STX. For like $3k-$5k more you get a ton of nice add-ons for the XLT. And unless you're buying with money you saved up. The financing difference is less then 100 a month. Of course there is the consideration of money to performance value. Since you could get max towing capacity with the most base XL and you can also get the powerboost engine in the XL as well. So for a work truck, it's a no brainer to avoid the stx. And just get the lowest end thing. And for personal preference the XLT 302a is a nice vehicle with the vast majority of the nice features you want to have in a new truck. And you don't have to spend the extra 5k or 10k for the Lariat.
Everyone who is complaining about the price needs to come to terms that these trucks are never going to get cheaper. If you want a full size back seat, decent wheels, the "good" engine, and 4x4, good luck getting that under 50k MSRP nowadays. Am I happy about 50k for manual cloth seats, no. But if people are buying them as soon as they hit the lot, why would they lower the prices.
@@23tails15 Laramie's are not fully loaded, but yes you can if you select almost no additional options, add anything and they quickly go north of 60k. Just like you can keep an xl below 50k with minimal options.
@@23tails15 I am not trying to defend the stx, I don't own a Ford or a Ram. But 7k is a lot of money for most. You can get a 4x4 lariat for 57k as well. But for most the budget has to stop somewhere. My only point was why would Ford drop the price when everyone is buying it.

That without Vaseline also but now I know why manufacturers want to do away with dealerships because they are price gouging. I don't know why I even went to a dealer because they had to order my truck from the manufacturer and it's been 4 months now and they have not even started to build it. But every dealership on Long Island New York you can call anyone you want and they all want over sticker price. It's a joke.

@@killanige This was in northern Indiana back in August. I did trade in my current vehicle at the time. I will say it took a lot of hunting and fighting. When I arrived it was just showing up on the delivery truck. It was the cheapest XLT sport in a 300 mile radius. The only discounts I got were the trade in assistance and military cash bonus. I think I still have the sticker for it.
It's a nice truck but the stx is never worth the price. For a couple thousand more you can build a ram bighorn midnight edition with more options. Not that I'd be able to afford either truck anyway
If your already looking at 50k for a base truck, it makes no sense not to drop just 10 to 15 more for a loaded version. I can see the hesitation if it were double the price. In todays truck market, the base trucks are actually poor value now.

I hate LEDs. But I hate them because I don't like seeing them on other cars. They're too bright.

This thing should have better features standard like led lights and push to start for that price range.

I can get a larime for 57k. That's fully loaded not a basic f150. And I'm a f150 owner

Like I said larime for 57k or stx 50k. U cant make this work. I have seen the low end larime and the high end ones. The low is on par with a lariat.
