seeing the stump alone I was like 'hmm doesn't look that big' .... then you put the skidsteer next to it and 'whooops, ok, you win!" ... that thing is massive.

With how much steam was coming off that stump, I'm surprised you didn't catch it on fire with the machine and burn it down. It might have been faster too. Sometimes I saw more steam then wood chips. All in fun.
Speaking of old skid steers, I use/drive an old skid steer made by a "Mustang", that the only "functional" electrical things in that thing is the starter, alternator, and the fuel shut off. Every time we get it repaired, the different repair men ask if we would sell it to them. I'm guessing the fact that it has all mechanical systems is a rare thing anymore and highly sought after for its reliability.
    Great video!

I didn't think the new Fecon had it in it to do that stump but you found the sweet spot on that mess, and with dull knives. Hit her high, come down and wow the wood went flying. I still like the old Fecon better. More drum weight to keep the revs up. Six of one, half a dozen of the other I guess. Slower to stall but the new one is faster to recover. :)

Not sure how often you do stumps but it would be a lot faster to hire a stump grinder (that has carbide teeth) or get an attachment and just chip the whole stump in the ground in situ and save having to pull it out and then slowly grind away at it with the brush grinder that was laboring.

I found a company online that as an after-market coupler that says they can reduce up to 15 percent of your hydraulic oil temp due to their design that reduces.. what is the average temperature of your hydraulic fluid when you're running the head heard?
