Very informative. I remember driving by Silverstone when visiting England 10 years ago. One day maybe I'll be able to see the British GP live from Silverstone. Although I live on the west coast of Canada, I have been to the Canadian GP in Montreal and way back in 1967, I saw the very first Canadian GP from Mosport. My all-time favourite driver Jim Clark started on Pole in his Lotus. Unfortunately, he retired with a mechanical issue. The race was won by Jack Braham. Times have certainly changed.
@@the-adge Well that was a great race to attend. Grandstands are free Friday so sat opposite Mercedes & Red Bull garages for P1 in Hamilton stand, loads going on to watch. Sat in Luffield Stand for P2 with super view of cars cornering at a relatively low speed. For the race itself sat on Chapel embankment where you could see the drivers coming through Maggots & Beckets before pulling away. Fab weekend of racing, great atmosphere (with Max as the pantomime villain). Thanks for your recommendations, they were spot on 👍🏻

@@glynangel1260 Hi Glyn! Im so glad to hear you enjoyed your weekend, one of my favorites of the year. Also glad the recommendations worked, great spots you ended up picking and good thing you got a pit view for Friday. We'll definitely see you next year!
Ty for this going for the practice so just wanted to see how much was accseeable so very helpful to know it won't be that packed and will be a good day even with less action. Still not a fan of how the briys chear when max gets taken out but luckily no crashes in practice
I have one question though, you carnt get to teh inside can you like inside of the arena corners. I know when I've been to watch endurance you can but dk if it's the same as this has alot more protocall
Thanks for this video really useful. Visiting this weekend (2023) with GA tickets and we're staying nearby. Are there other gates where you can enter the circuit around Copse or Stowe?
I am not entirely sure, but I would guess there are (as the carpark is sorta in that area). Everytime I attended was by bus and the dropoff area is right next to these gates. Sorry I couldn't be more help! Have fun and see you there
This is incredibly helpful thank you. What is it like walking around the circuit during the race? Is it better to stay in 1 spot or to movr for my 1st GP race?
Probably my favourite place to sit for an all day general admission spot is on the hill near the vale chicane and club corner(the last bit before the start/finish straight
@@paco_lord87 yes the seating In front of the camera here is general admission seating where people put their folding chairs. These are in front of the grandstands nearer to the track. So you can either stand or sit here all day
This is so helpful, thank you. Now we might be crazy but we are going for our first visit in 2023 and we are taking our 5 and 8 year old (we have hired a camper van and they can't wait for that). So for the race day ideally we would need to be somewhere less packed, with toilets and food nearby. I'm thinking the concert zone at the end of The Wellington Straight. Can we access the concert zone area during the race? Thanks.
Thanks for the great video, really useful. I'll be going in 2023 for Saturday only with wife and 2 kids (teenagers). Do you think it's worth it to buy fast track? What time would you suggest for us to be there to find good spot? Any useful tips about car parking? Or would you recommend bus?
Hello, thanks for the reply and hopefully it helped. Sorry but I have never driven as the bus is so easy from London. However, if you are going with poor people total, it might make sense to drive! Sorry I could not be of more help. Generally, I like to get there right around when the Gate opens, maybe 9:30 or 10:00 and you can still get a decent seat. This should be fine for a Saturday
im going silverstone for the first time in 2023 and was wondering if i get there at 6am with a camp chair and find a spot will i have to stay there all day or will i be able to walk around and see the other activies before the race
If you are going by yourself, this might be tricky. One, because you would hope that your chair would be safe and that the people around would watch it. However, you can't be sure. This isn't much help but possibly go with somebody else and then you guys can take turns watching the chairs vs exploring
I’m camping a few minutes from the circuit but I don’t know how early to find my seat. The gates open 4 hours before fp1 but I don’t know if it will be a waste of time to sit down straight away
Yea, I have found the people that sit down in the seats usually go every year and know their spots and camp there from the moments the gate opens! They also have multiple people to watch their chairs while the others go and walk around. Personally, I think sitting in the same spot all day baking in the sun is not the best experience, but that may change for different people
Probably my favourite place to sit for an all day general admission spot is on the hill near the vale chicane and club corner(the last bit before the start/finish straight
If you get there sometime in the morning 9-10 you still should be able to squeeze in somewhere... But even that early you'll notice that it's packed and that there are people with weekend passes who have been camping out in their spot all weekend!
Such a detailed walking tour! I’ll be much more prepared at the next race 👍🏻
LMAO the guy at 3:42 clearly not wanting to miss it walking past the screen then turning as he hears the crowd
See you there next year!

What a great idea, maybe they should remove the fencing so people have a clear view LOL !!
