I had the Thorn, but sold it because it cut my face almost every time I used it. It was too aggressive for me. I found the Twig with a Nacet blade was perfect. Super close and smooth, no nicks or cuts, autopilot easy, rinses clog free every time, and gets into tight spots like under the nose better than any razor out there.
Thanks for the fantastic video and honest comparison. I've been thinking about buying a Leaf Razor for months, but I thought the collection I've collected in one year was enough (my first was the King C. Gillette Safety Razor, then Mühle R89 and R41, then the fantastic Rockwell 6C and in November the Merkur 37C with a Slant Bar). For all these razors I ordered the SUPPLY 2.0 but couldn't handle it at that time (first time I try some wet shaving after more than 10 years using electric shavers..) and sent it back. Now I do regret that (I am aware of your similar story). Maybe I will order a SUPPLY again in the future. But first wait and see how the Leaf Thorn will be. I ordered it in the same beautiful Chrome version as yours. Good luck with making more nice shaving videos and many greetings from Belgium !
What an awesome comment. Thanks for sharing your journey. These razors can be addictive; you have a fine collection. I think you're going to love the Thorn and do recommend you try the Supply Edge when you get a chance.
Just bought the twig as a bday present for myself. Coming in a few days pretty excited, this is my first single blade so I wanted to be safe, but also I got them Mexican genes that gimme kinda thick hairs so, GUESS WE’LL SEE. great vids tho :)
@@FashionableFather new to your channel and I found you by searching the supply razor. I purchased it today been wanting to and finally did! If you see this and have the time for a response is this razor comparable or better? Thanks so much and keep up the content.
Thanks for watching and certainly happy I inspired you to get the supply. The main reason I got the leaf is because I like shaving and the videos get views, but I’m surprised how much I like it. If you want two razors my favs are Supply SE and this Leaf Thorn.
@@FashionableFather hey I appreciate that! I’m usually a beard guy but I do love a nice shave hah once that razor gets here I’ll give it a go! Got your notebook too, I’m more old school, like to write and stuff. Loved the design as well. Thanks a lot and good luck to you.
*slow clap* satisfying and fun to watch! reminds me of watching my poppy shave back in the day. only thing missing was hearing that sound that only foaming up the brush can make.
Good stuff. Another solid video. I think I will have to try one of these sometime in the future. After putting off a purchase for over a year I finally gave in and went with the Supply SE. Such a good razor. I never thought it was possible for me to get a close shave WITHOUT irritation. I actually look forward to shaving now. But instead of feeling satisfied with that I now want to try the Supply Pro. And because of you I've jumped in head first down the rabbit hole of razors, brushes and creams. I blame you sir, I blame you! 😂
Such an amazing comment. I do apologize for the rabbit hole. IRRITATION right?! It’s no joke. So glad that you have a healthy shave routine. The pro is awesome! Love that you can adjust on the fly, buuut hair can get caught in it. If the SE is getting close, stick with it. Fantastic razor. I’ll run with the blame; it’s a healthy rabbit hole.
I own the lLeaf standard razor (with the pivoting head) and the Supply injection blade razor. In a simple review, the Supply can get better angles and in tighter spaces (like under the nose), but is VERY aggressive. The Leaf razor is simple to use, works much like a normal disposable razor, and is very mild and use friendly, but just a lot of issues with getting into tight spaces because the face plate is so large.
@@Dylandesuu this is actually a great perspective. I would’ve never compared these two; I’m more of a single blade guy. Thanks for the info and comment.
What’s better the twig, thorn or supply for a nice close shave BBS. I also need to shave my galea’s with it, but idk about buying 2 separate razors for face and head. Like the leaf 3 blade.
Hi fashionable father. Nice video. I am considering buying the Rockwell 6S as a first time wet shaver, after using electric foil shavers all my adult life till date. I shave my head and face and jaws, and need your full advice. I want to get fully into wet shaving for a closer and more fulfilling shave experience, and have watched so many reviews on the Rockwell 6s blade. Please advise.
Rockwell are great razors but you have an eye on a pricey one. I’d recommend starting cheaper for your first try. Actually for the price you can get two different razor styles and see what you like. So I’d recommend the Rockwell 6c or even a cheaper DE like this amzn.to/41FpzJw. Then grab a single edge; either the Leaf twig; amzn.to/42C8S2S. Or the supply edge; bit.ly/30XFl6E

It’s a great razor. I think you’ll be happy. Let me know after your first shave.
I own the Leaf Twig as well, quite mild but easy to use and comfortable 👍
The twig is so intuitive and comfortable.

This helps me, too. I’ve had the SE for a month or so, and I still have to focus with it or I’ll get nicks.
I'd be very interested in a comparison video between the Leaf and Supply razors.
Yes this needs to happen.

I uses leaf thorn with astra its damn good and smooth yet mid aggressive giving me a closest shave in a short time

Hey would you mind doing a video on Paul Newman's style,I feel he's very underrated when it comes to men's style.
I like this! I've never really thought of his style so you've inspired me.
@@FashionableFather no problem. it's about Newman attention he deserves for his style. 😎

What blade are you using with leaf thorn now in this vid
I used leaf blades.
The Twig with Gillette Nacet blades is incredilble
Still haven’t tried the Gillette Nacet blades. I shall
What's the name of the face wash that you use?
terressentials.com/. Love their face lotion too.
~Thanks, Daddy!~
TOTLLY BS - No comparison. System SE is a better designed PRODUC and definitely won't break in your head as it is made of METAL.
For the little bit of lather that you applied why even bother! C'mon.... lather up!
the Twig is a decent razor, but for the money there are better razors out there, they should have priced it at 30 bucks, then it would be worth it
What are thore better razors. Genuinely curious
@@base9714 Rockwell 6c, Superb
I just got my Thorn razor today from Amazon. Looking forward to my shave tomorrow morning. 🪒😊
I so do that. It’s thoroughly enjoyable to try a new razor.
