I got the sedan version of this. Not a speed demon by any stretch of the imagination, but it's quite a zippy city car. It's light and has good balance. It has good acceleration for things like safely overtaking lorries on the motorway but nothing more than that really. And oh, it has great fuel economy - perfect for a daily driver. I'm happy with it.
I got one of these sedan too
One advantage of sedan is aerodynamics but weight is also an disadvantage. Also have you heard about the Mazda 2 getting a hp bump to 116hp.

I did around 188 too in mine. But with 3 people in the car.
I have this car, red colour. My previous one was a red mazda 121 lol you can imagine how much different the experience is
I had a mazda121 1.3cc 72hp from 1991 and did the upgrade to the mazda2 my2018 1.5cc 90hp. Acceleration at low rpm was better with the older one! I think that euro6 was awful for throttle. Other than that everything is vastly superior.
mazda 2 petrol allways have the best sound from the first generation mazda 2 to the latest
The first gen Mazda 2 had the B series engine which is also found on the 1989 Mazda 323 and the (predecessor of Mazda 2) Mazda 121. Those B series engines are quiet on idle including the Z engine and skyactiv which shows its refinement.

@@stefanjovanovski6035 can you provide the link for the engine? From Wikipedia it just says the first gen demio had the B series engine unless if yours is the gen after that.
@@Dongzzzzzz i think the mazda demio use difrent engines 1.3i 1.5i,the euro model witch is called just mazda 2 has choice of 1.25i 75hp 1.4hdi 68hp 1.4i 80hp 1.6i 101hp
@@stefanjovanovski6035 Mazda is really confusing with their regional names. Just Sharing, my Mazda 2 is the 1.5 skyactiv which is more powerful than my 323 1.3 B engine lol even though the 323 is the Mazda 3 today.

It's not a fast car but with 90hp it goes well until 150/160 km/h.

I have the mazda 2 sport 1.5 2009 103hp and it easily does 125mph Some mods have been done Totally love the car I couldn't afford a mk 2 Escort but this is just as much fun to drive.
i drive my mazda 2 2004 1.25 75hp 190kmh and with 5 big people in the car we hit 172kmh

Interessant hätte ich mal die Topspeed im langen 5. Gang gefunden.
Sollte ungefähr bei den gezeigten [2:30] 170km/h bleiben.
Bei 4000rpm wird mit 62kw die Maximalleistung nahezu erreicht.
@@tsd560ti6 Stimmt, sollten 84 PS sein, wenn ich mich nicht verrechnet habe (4000 x 148 : 9550 x 1,36). Allerdings dreht er bei echten 170 kmh weniger als 4000, jedenfalls laut meiner Getriebeübersetzungsdaten

Andrés Ruiz Perez nothing unusual, a lot of car manufacturers have different specs for the asian, russian, american and european markets because of different regulations and also driving conditions.

Las regulaciomes de emisiones en Europa son muchísimo más exigentes que las existentes aquí, por tal motivo, las marcas rediseñan sus motores para cumplir con esas regulaciones, en este caso, disminuyen la potencia del carro para dar cumplimiento a esas regulaciones.
Nuestros vehículos contaminan más que las versiones europeas, los que tenemos no podrían circular en ningún país de la Unión europea por esa razón

I did 195 (on gps) in a 2009 Mazda 2 1.5 103hp with 3 people in the car on a flat road. Top speed on that was also suppose to be 188.
I have the rebranded toyota version of thr sedan and it is a fun car and gets 45mpg the way I drive it. Passing someone isn't something you do often though hah.

@@SuperchargedMagazine washington state in the usa. 60 mph is the norm around here. It just doesn't have the umph to pass at higher speeds unless there is a long stretch of road.

Depends on what you mean by "faster". Mazda 2 will win by a longshot if you plan to go on the backroads with lots of turns - fx. you don't make a rallycar out of a hellcat.
Power is only good if you can actually use it for The mazda 2,s purpose a hellcat would struggle in its category their is more to a car than its speed anyone can make a fast car but a zippy one well that takes a keen eye for detail

Nur im Autobahn wenn du 180km/h oder mehr fährst. Normalerweise verbraucht es natürlich weniger.
Hab das Facelift Modell von 2020, wenn ich sanft fahre lieg ich bei weniger als 5 Litern. Hatte ne Fahrt nach Polen und zurück, fast 2000km, bin oft 150-180 gefahren und hatte nen Endverbrauch von 6,5l

Quieter than a VW golf (in my opinion). However, there is a little wind noise around the front pillars.

I don't think the 14.1 L / 100km is a very good selling point.
Their information is off. It's actually 41mpg freeway/32 city driving. Idk the conversion rate to metric. It's got amazing fuel economy. I put in 25 usd and it lasts me for a week and a half usually.
14.1 because he drives like a madman, real world figures are less than half of this.
@@RiseOfAnarchism I have the 115PS 2018 verison - if you drive normally it goes 35-40 mpg in city and up to 52mpg freeway. On highway I get around 30-32 mpg, though I go flat out 140km/h. Tested max speed is around 202km/h (125mph) - but it struggles above 185km/h
