I think the reason why it does not change gear while on 3000rpm is due to the fact that it's on sport mode.

I enjoyed driving this car, it really surprised me, a really nice city car, it's too easy to drive, it holds up well on the highway only the steering wheel is too soft for the highway, but great in the city.

Mechanically I think it's a great car no one is buying a mazda 2 for space. And if they are they need to rethink their options.

I calculated how much farther mine can go when the low fuel light goes on, and it's a bit excessive honestly.
According to the manual, the light goes on when there is 9L of fuel left in the tank. This gives me a theoretical maximum remaining range of 169-201km (105-125 miles) depending on fuel economy, which is farther than the total range of a lot of electric cars lol.

I'm glad I found this review, it was helpful and short! I'm considering getting the 2020 Mazda 2 Evolve/base model, but I'm not sure. In your opinion, was it a good quality-price purchase? I'm asking because they say the 2020 one had a jump in price, and even if you buy the base one (Evolve), you could get a more upgraded one if you were to buy from other brands. And if you were to buy it again, would you still get the base model, why?

    Nice car you have.
I bought a 2020 Mazda 2 last week als Blue but a bit darker. My car comes with aftermarket rims 17inch and 205 45 r17 tires.
I find my steering a bit to heavy. Do you experience the same after upgrading the tires to 205? (Mazda is nog recommending it), is there a big difference in steering Stock vs 205?
I'm in doubt to change the rims to stock with (185). I did change back to stock Springs (it was lower, looks nice but ride terrible) i like a bit of comfort it's Still a bit hard in the supension, i like the 17 inch so i live with that. But i don't like the stiff steering.
Also do you see a big difference in consumption? I found my car compion ok but expected better.

Is the car bumpy on the teins? I am using Tanabe coils, love the handling but kinda jumpy. Also went to 17in wheels with 215/45R17 PS4, fuel consumption only 14-15km/L
