(not a commonly agreed upon opinion) fanservice in '17 was wonderfully minimal( 'we' received these things scripted in varied manners no one truly expected ) *. . .* observation of a 2O17 video podcast ~ the one character who proudly voiced in a single scene just how much they savoUred the Double R cherry pie( what *sooon* befell 'them' )?
I don't think youngsters will understand that at this time only ground coffee was for sale and that many store bought coffees at the time were mixed with inferior Rubusto beans, not pure Arabica beans. This was years before Starbucks went national. Some supermarkets had grinding machines, but the selection was limited, and no one ground coffee at home. Percolators were common and they very quickly burnt coffee. Really good coffee was rare and worth getting excited about. In New England, we were proud of Dunkin' Donuts (started in Quincy Mass), because otherwise decent coffee was rare.
Wow! The more you know. I wonder if this has to do with coffee not just being black coffee with only cream and sugar as mixers. Allot of coffees are lattes mixed with sweets, flavor syrups, etc. And people prefer those overwhelming tastes over plain black coffee.
@@NicTubeVids Not really. Specially since neither of the two substances causes hallucinations. Less of all stepping into other worlds. Unless you mean because of how crazy Lynch is. If so, then maybe yes.
I live out here and was just at this diner (Twede's T-Mar - the RR) up there for lunch today. They had it remodeled for the new series to still look like the old one, but updated. And they DO have great coffee. Still have to try their pie...
I just went to the diner TODAY and had a slice of cherry pie. It was AMAZING. My expectations weren't super high at all and I was just there for the novelty of it, but I was blown away by how good the pie was. You need to check it out!
Same, it's the 90s vibe at the time. I have good memories of watching Twin Peaks on DVD with my breakfast at 11 am before working on my PhD thesis, it was my ease into the day relaxed program
The Pie = desire, temptation, Laura Palmer. The Coffee = darkness, the oil hole, the black lodge. Two cardinal motifs constantly being subliminally suggested through a novel ongoing theme of pie & coffee.
America has become very commercial in a time where we are owing more and more in debt, which means the little guys and personal shops, including diners are getting pushed out. Sad but true. There may still be some time left yet, but, yeah, everything is so commercial.
Saw this before marmot honing the series, every single episode had some sort of coffee or pie line. Great series. Ps: would anyone know where I can watch fire walk with me, I can't find it on any of the streaming services.
Hearing Gordon Cole’s strong black coffee and anecdote of no small amusement line lead me here, and I’ve watched it so much that it’s lead me to wanna see Twin Peaks
I think I am stuck. I keep watching this from the beginning then starting it over before it ends. I haven't even been able to let it loop yet. I need a cup of coffee.
...not sure if I hate coffee or have only been offered cheap stuff... And I'll have apple pie, please. ...pumpkin if you got it. Oh, what the hell, a SMALL piece of huckleberry, I'm dying to know how that tastes. ...why is no one taking my order right now?
I am occasionally watching this video, sipping coffee. It's strangely comforting. (also the espresso scene from Mulholland Drive is on the queue.) Dear God, what am I doing with my life?
This entire show is a love letter written by David Lynch to pie and coffee
Or..... a love letter written by coffee and pie to David Lynch ? 🤔 🥧☕🤣
Only because he liked my grandmother's pie and coffe when scouting for the show and wrote it in

All coffee is good, amen.
All that sugar and caffeine = cause of all the weird shit in twin peaks.
This is an extremely and tragically underappreciated statement.

Pies not the same
Actually, if you take out the crime and mystery elements, the true theme of this program is about pie and coffee.
(25 years later)... You're gonna need a bigger video
Waiting on it
My response to "Would you like some pie?" will now always be "massive, massive quantities"
That’s some damn fine coffee you got here in Twin Peaks, and damn good cherry pie!
My depression isn't what sets off my binge eating. Watching Twin Peaks does...
Why does this make me smile?
As a millennial, there's something so nostalgic and calming about this video. Does a certain atmosphere that is unique and lacking in today's media
Same, it's the 90s vibe at the time. I have good memories of watching Twin Peaks on DVD with my breakfast at 11 am before working on my PhD thesis, it was my ease into the day relaxed program
It's all the wood paneling and brown decor!
My favorite part is when they say "pie" and "coffee".
The Pie = desire, temptation, Laura Palmer.
The Coffee = darkness, the oil hole, the black lodge.

i love this show so f'ing much
"MASSIVE, MASSIVE QUANTITIES!"

I can't tell you how many videos I've watched and this, this is one of the best!
I wish we had diners in my country, i could go for some coffee and cherry pie.
I wish we had them in America still too.
There's still a few mom and pop diners out there, but yeah, they are dying off.
what ? they are dying out ? Dont destroy my ideal picture of america :/ Never been there but when i visit i must go to such a diner.

Punished Snake My town has diners and I live in America.
This video needs an update once Season 3 is finished.
The main reason why the show exist, to show the loves the author has for pies and coffee.
This is BRILLIANT! Thank you for your attention to detail and love and editing. Good lord! Bless your heart as Lynch would say.
It makes me sad that you cut out Pete's iconic "fish in the percolator" line, but other than that, this video is utterly delicious.
Damn. all these coffee and pie makes me want to watch twin peaks
I feel the same buddie
It takes place in the Pacific Northwest. What else would they drink?
Didn't David Lynch's character once say "I ORDERED PIE FOR US. THREE EACH!"
The editing of this video is amazing, even though I don't know if I should look to the left or look to the right.
Damn good coffee and HOT!
0:43 There's also a blueberry pie that'll murder ya and a strawberry rhubarb pie that'll drive ya insane.
Damn fine TV show!
This is why I could get along in Twin Peaks.
Brilliant and beautiful show 😊❤️😊❤️😊❤️
Saw this before marmot honing the series, every single episode had some sort of coffee or pie line. Great series. Ps: would anyone know where I can watch fire walk with me, I can't find it on any of the streaming services.
This video would be, excuse me, a damn fine way to start each day. I'm caffeinated just from watching it! Great job.
I could certainly go for a hot coffee and slice of cherry pie. If only more places in England did good cherry pie...

I suppose David Lynch Really likes Coffee with pie...
*MASSIVE, MASSIVE QUANTITIES*
There has not been this much love for pie and coffee since Abbott and Costello.
Agent Cooper himself tweeted this.
MASSIVE MASSIVE quantities!
Somebody should do the Season 3
FINALLY. This had to be done. Thank you!
"Twin Peaks" is interesting about food.
The combination of very bitter coffee and cherry pie is the best.

Brilliant! I have absolutely no idea what's going on.
Everyone who saw him ruined on SATC really must watch Agent Cooper. Such an excellent show.

Nicely done!!LOVE IT!!!!!(Even got the Red Room "Coffee.Coffee.Coffee.")
I can't tell if I like the pie clips or the coffee clips better. Or maybe they just pair well together... just like actual pie and coffee does.
A+ for this video.
Best video on youtube I've finally found it
The pie is a metaphor for life !

"Coffee, coffee, coffee, coffee!"
Thank you. Give it to me as hard as i can take it. Love it.
Best advice ever from agent cooper,,,every day treat yourself,,,it could be anything new shirt or a cup of decent coffee!!!
In italy if people had a piece of cherry pie for every coffè of the day would be all very very very fat
+Hannah Kay my dad drinks 7/8 coffes at day
+MrInsensibile ps i'm italian ;)
If you can pronounce these two sentences: ”un caffè grazie” and ”allora” you are basically italian
Italians eats fatty cherry pie
"How do you take your coffee?"
"Black as midnight on a moonless night."
That’s damn good coffee you got here in Twin Peaks!
Kyle is a very calm guy with all that coffer
Was brewin' some nice organic coffee when I came across this!
Are they addicted to coffee?
