David's relationships with his regulars are some of the most wholesome, endearing, and heartwarming in the business. It also shows what a genuine and loyal human he is. He could pick anybody but he picks the ones he evidently cares the most about over and over again. Nothing but respect. One of the all time great artists.
When I see David Lynch or watch his movies I'm in different place, better place. Hes the only one who can transfer me like that, it's like crossing into another realm out of this world.
I love their relationship. Neither of them take themselves too seriously while making heady stuff. Real friends making art always brings joy to others imo
I think it was Isabella Rossellini who described David Lynch as a "boy scout" when an interviewer asked if he was really that odd, and I didn't really understand until I saw him interact with people on set. Now, I definitely get it, and it even reflects in the art he makes, as well. It just isn't obvious at first.
I bet the filming of Twin Peaks season 1 and 2 was so peaceful and fun. Ive never really heard bad stuff about it. Snoqualmie is a beautiful place. (Yes, i know it wasn't totally filmed there)
Why does David Lynch make me think of Donald Fagen? Is it because the white picket fence, red roses and blue sky from Blue Velvet remind me of The Nightfly? There's an uneasy fondness for a half remembered, half idealised 1950s that they both lived through (Lynch - born '46, Fagen - born '48), which the former reworked with surrealism and the latter with cynicism. Hearing Glamour Profession makes the nighttime cityscape of LA from Mulholland Drive play in my mind's eye. Well, maybe there's a seed here that someone could nurture into a thesis, but on the other hand perhaps it's nothing.
Lynch's hairstyle is a masterpiece.
it looks like it will always stand out and feel ahead of it's time no matter what decade youre on

"Real friends making art always brings joy to others" - what a quote, this is what I've always lived by. It's the only thing that matters in life!
Martin has his Robert and Leo. David has his Kyle.
Kale
David also has his Laura. She's almost like his Leo.
Laura Dern is his main muse if you ask me but Kyle is a big one too.
Their friendship is golden and wholesome
Underrated compilation, thank you
That 'turn around' scene with Lynch/Dougie... great
MacLachlan: "Are you a Fremen?"
Lynch: _stacks two doughnuts in reply_
Kyle's performance as Daisy's father in Agents of Shield was fantastic.
Thank you for posting this! It's brilliant and definitely gave me a big smile. I really appreciate it
Aw you're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it. xx

He was an actual Eagle Scout as a kid too, his dad was also an Eagle Scout and a police officer.
This is wonderful, thank you!
This truly made me smile!! I love their friendship so much
It's a strange world, Jeffrey Beaumont.

@CrashHeadroom For real. I couldn't even finish watching that interview. I had to skip ahead lol
Watching these two together in an uncomfortable interview is itself a plesure.
