That chassis looks like a lovely upgrade. Still amazes me how popular these little things are, and what people are doing with them. Looks great with the black wheels. 👍🏻
I used to give my nephew trouble for watching other people play video games but I guess it isn't any different than me watching you build RC tracks LMAO😅🤔👍
Mine arrived today…. Couldn’t resist it and I am so happy with the way it looks. Waiting for the metal rear axle to arrive and now thinking of modifications
You're a ham, and that's awesome. The outro was friggin' stellar. I'm also a WPL fan boy because of you! Videos like this, for instance... *Now* I want a D12, and not before. Not having a metal chassis rail system or some kind of metal for weight and strength felt off. This solved that. I'm on-board now. Maybe I can keep the van vertical with some hub extensions... Keep up the great work, you and WPL!!
Great upgrade. I recently saw a 3d printed Nissan Fairlady Z body that would look awesome on this metal chassis ! Will try and link it when i find it again !
Wow that chassis is impressive . And those wheels are definitely Sexy. What a compliment to such an appreciated model. Your music was a great choice too. Great video.
I just picked up a barely used second hand d12. Only thing is, one of the wheel axles broke before I bought it. I got it cheap because of that reason. Looking forward to repairing and using this machine.
Nice upgrade Tom! Just noticed you don’t have number plates, I use a Dymo labeller to create custom number plates. Ours plates in Aus are a bit shorter than yours but it should work well!
Hi tom! I have a question where does the WPL D12 have brake system because if you go forward and pull the reverse as fast as possible it stops so nicely
I thought you were going to build for No Prep drag racing drifting, I think no prep would be the way I go stick the biggest motor you can in it wheelie bar slicks.
I went the other direction with my new D12. I kept the plastic chassis and affixed all metal upgrade parts to it. I do have the metal gearbox/370 motor on order. Should be here in 2-3 weeks. Are you saying it will cut-out with the stock WPL control board?
I have installed these metal alloy wheels in red and felt D12 engine "drag" when play. Loud noise and not as smooth when run compared to D12 original wheels. Could it be due to the wheels weight increased?
Yayyyy! Big thank you tomley I've been searching for a good source to buy metal chassis from 😁👌 couldn't find one that comes with the battery bay 😅 I'm pretty much 85% done with my build now just need the chassis / new transmitter- receiver combo/ motor housing I can confirm those wheels do come in a red colour but keep in mind the tyres may need gluing as mine tend to pop out without glue buddy 😉 - ps : could you let me know what resistors I need for the 370 motor when soldering it up as I've still got it in the bag needed to be assembled
Probably a dumb question. But I keep seeing these awesome little trucks now and I'm looking to build something else but wondering if one of these stock trucks would be usable for a 1.18 scale body shell? These are bigger so would I be able to trim down to shorten to make wheel base fit? Or I completely wrong?
For a scale look of driving mostly everytime much more weight and a slow soft moving suspension will do it. Maybe don't drive better but more realistic if that ist the goal.
I'm guessing these are the rc's that are littered all over Asia full alloy just Drifting D12's everywhere! Bcz I have no other reason WHY THAT WPL D12 gets the best looking metal upgrades...no C24-1 c14 lowrider awesome alloy mini truck theme kits?
Very weird that ESC from Axial wouldn’t work on a simple 2s set up on that small motor, 360 isn’t really that big. Neat video but I feel that WPL, XK, MN, ETC are all way too slow and simply are just cool toys too look at or for kids....I only buy the Banggood stuff only for looks when something looks cool but after having so many of them pile up as just trophy queens made me think its time too just watch videos instead lol 😝 My input for something cool and different on these little cheapos would be a functioning towing arm/wench in the bed ha
Lots of options for these little things. So many creative people out there. As for the ESC... the gearing is quite high in the gearbox, so even though it's a small motor, it's probably drawing quite a bit of load
You should go even further back... I'm almost dead lol. Although in my defence, I used to do my videos in the garage in the evenings, below my daughters bedroom, so couldn't speak too loud

Lovely! I found it very satisfying to watch your doubled-up rear springs articulating while the truck was carrying all those wheels in the back.
Bwahhhaha those tires in the back bouncing around had me cracking up lol.🤣😂🤪😁😋
Hahaha

Finalmente WPL D12 ALL METALL...così diventa molto racing...bel video ... ciao Tomley... dall'Italia
I've been looking at buying one of these for a couple weeks now... then you do this epic video!
Decent little scale Truck 😎
It's beautiful man I simply love the design very unique.
Need one of these just so I can build a scale "Kai truck garden" in the back.
Very nice little trucks. I really enjoy when you upgrade or customize RC's. Thanks for the video!
Cheers Alex
Awesome as always brother!!
Cant wait for the next video!!
Cheers Justin
Love these little trucks what a cool build👍👍
Thanks dude
This is one RC I'd like to get!
Great upgrade.
I recently saw a 3d printed Nissan Fairlady Z body that would look awesome on this metal chassis ! Will try and link it when i find it again !
Awesome little build! Aloha from hawaii. Your background music in the beginning sounded like Hawaiian music
That chassis looks like a great upgrade
Great work great truck!
very nice truck
Awesome job with your videos
Looks solid 👌
That is a nice upgrade. A rear canopy will be perfect look.
Wow, beautiful chassis, really really nice!! Have a great day Bro!!
Cheers dude 😎👌
I was just looking at that kit on the WPL Store, definately pulling the trigger. Just upgraded the C24 with their metal kit, its a crawling beat now.
This kits not available on the store, but the KM D12 is
Nice Build Brother, Got to do it to my one ..lol..Thumbs' up.
Thanks dude
I did build video on that one a while back. I wish it had the motor shaft support that comes on the stock chassis
Yeah... not sure if it’s gonna be an issue or not.
@@TomleyRC it dint seem to be a problem but the shaft could definitely use some support
Wow that chassis is impressive . And those wheels are definitely Sexy. What a compliment to such an appreciated model. Your music was a great choice too. Great video.
loving it keep it up can’t wait for the next one👍🏼😁
Woow so nice !! I love this RC Car brother
Yes, it’s nice 👌
Very nice 👍
Very cool!!
Nice upgrades !!!
Thanks dude

Nice 👌
great lunchtime entertainment.
No probs Dexter
Phil, what do you usually have for lunch? Besides Maybe a coffee 😄
Chicken mostly 😅
Fantastic, Tomley! It really looks great! 😃
BTW, that's what I call a side road find! 😂
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Cheers dude. 😎👌
not sure what looks better..the hair or the truck! :-) LOL! cool video!
My Hair of course!
@@TomleyRC Lol! Thought you might say that.
Another great vid sir
Cheers dude
I want to do the metal upgrades for my wpl c24 just haven't got round to doing it yet definitely worth it though transforms th truck 👍
Nice upgrade Tom! Just noticed you don’t have number plates, I use a Dymo labeller to create custom number plates. Ours plates in Aus are a bit shorter than yours but it should work well!
I have some plates... just not fitted.
What's the full length off the rear diff pin to pin
any chance to upgrade to AWD adding a front differencial not using complete chassie from other WPL?
It’s going to be soooo strong like a tank
Awesome video my friend 👍👍
I can't believe I just found ur 😲...new sub here👍❤👊
Haha... welcome mate. Hope you enjoy
Nice looking upgrades. Where did you get the rear axle and leaf springs from?
do those wheels clear the fenders
Hi tom! I have a question where does the WPL D12 have brake system because if you go forward and pull the reverse as fast as possible it stops so nicely
Oh wow, how did i miss this one! Shiny
Super Shiny!
I thought you were going to build for No Prep drag racing drifting, I think no prep would be the way I go stick the biggest motor you can in it wheelie bar slicks.
No Prep... good idea

Does it weigh down the car slot or slow it down at all
Where you buy the cassis.
Good job, looks great,I'm to lazy to do stuff like that👍👍
I like to build stuff... but takes so much time
Envy your patience bro,wpl looked amazing though👍👍😀
brilliant, I want doing the same for mine now >_
It would be really good if it all fit together with them supply the right screws out of the box for a novice like 👍
Please can you advise which is the best version to buy.
I have installed these metal alloy wheels in red and felt D12 engine "drag" when play. Loud noise and not as smooth when run compared to D12 original wheels. Could it be due to the wheels weight increased?
Looks tidy 😎😎

This little thing keeps getting prettier, every time you make a video.
😎🤟
Would the extra weight of the chassis aid a D12 drift set up ya think?
Yes I think it would 👍
I am surprised by how much support this little truck has gotten by aftermarket parts.
Yes, very popular!
Can you do a video of you putting a car body on the wpl d12 ???
Probably a dumb question. But I keep seeing these awesome little trucks now and I'm looking to build something else but wondering if one of these stock trucks would be usable for a 1.18 scale body shell? These are bigger so would I be able to trim down to shorten to make wheel base fit? Or I completely wrong?
Im planning to buy a d12 but im only gonna make the parts that i usually break on a rc car
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
1. Awesome b. I wonder how it would behave with a little weight in the body ( rear)? just thinking...
uncanny, just as I type my comment half way through your vid; you add weight to the back lol! It looks wicked!!
Haha... always the way 😎
Can that gear box take a small brushless motor? 👍🏻
Yes, a small 370 should fit fine.
Holy drifting subaru sambar
Also mate - upgrade them front arms please please please they are a week point and can break easy
Will be upgraded soon
You should get a traxxas 4 tec, it’s a pretty good car
I’ve got a 4tec Nitro
Wtf Tomley didn't say Brushless this whole video..must mean this truck is going brushless and its top secret. Lol
Haha
Heh, it actually seemed to drive even better (more realistic) with a bit of weight in the back!
Yes, needed some better slow mo... maybe next time :)
For a scale look of driving mostly everytime much more weight and a slow soft moving suspension will do it. Maybe don't drive better but more realistic if that ist the goal.
pft mines running stock, bar the 370 motor swap
standard RTR electronics, apart from motor all ive done is bit of PVC tape round back wheels
The 370 swaps straight in no slteration to plastic box
i want metal body toooooo
Crazy how someone just dumped cen f450 wheels in the middle of nowhere 😅
is that scaled 1:10 sir?
yes

Did you see the WPL D12 KM KIT? Yours is a better truck build 😎
Yes seen it... although it’s only the gears and rest axle I think
@@TomleyRC yes, you are correct. I would like to see a 4x4 D12 KM KIT. 😎. I will bug Edward, ya never know. 😉✌🏻👍🏻
How can someone look 20 and 50 at the same time?
“A me-o shassy”
Paint cover Chrome and front arms black
Damit I want this and I don't even have a d12 yet lol but I will

Anyone try to convert this thing to a nitro engine while still keeping the rear drive? I can't imagine the level of difficulty.
Wife says "tidy the work bench"?
First
There cant be 10 people that are first
I don't know wtf does 12-17 dislikes on every video you have.. they're here just to dislike. Smh
Very cool but do you mean metal? You keep saying méh-al.... Pffff
banggood has all of you by the balls.
100% incorrect haha... they need me more than I need them
Will you give me this van
Please
you sound so depressed in your older videos
