I agree with everything you said.
A few things I’d mention from my experiences:
- The Classic Star with cheese is very close to a Hungry Jacks Whopper with cheese in ingredients, size and taste.
I prefer Carls Jnr though as it just seems to be more fresh and “home made”.
- Their burgers come half-wrapped for dine-in which to me is unnecessary, while they are a thrown together mess in drive-thru where you could appreciate it being half-wrapped.
So weird.
- The chips are great. Some of the best I’ve had from a fast food chain.
- The bottomless drinks are also great.
Eat in, finish your drink, refill it and you have a full cold drink for the drive afterwards.
All in all, I think Carls Jnr are the best fast food burger outlet currently in Australia.
It will be interesting to see how Wendys go when they come here soon. (Not sure about a square burger though… just seems unnatural to me!)

Carl's Jnr Burgers are the absolute best burgers available!! My favourite is the Western Bacon Cheeseburger. The flavour is divine. Gotta love their chips too. Definitely my favourite of all the burger places.

Very comparable taste to Hungry Jacks, double the price. It's okay but there's little reason to go there.

Looks very similar to Mcdonald’s, the interior design, the branding, logo, and the menu.
Sadly I’m in Perth :(, overall I really wanted to try Carl’s Jr.

cold food. really shocking. so cold the 1/2 slice of cheese didn't melt. the meat was a bit light on, looked like it was short changed. shocking. so bad even the dog wouldn't eat them. I got a refund.

In moolendinar you can get a cheeseburger for 3 bucks tried one today and it’s honestly a pretty good deal for a high quality burger
