.Let see 2 50 dollar eggs, cheap frozen potatoes a bag 2.50 pancake mix 3.50 bacon 4.00 cheap bacon . 12.50 and you would still have three breakfast to eat later. I know it is treat to eat out, home cook meals are the best!
Buy in bulk and you can eat this every other day for breakfast for very cheap. I know I do and eating out is only a treat if the food is better than your own home cooked. Thing is my cooked food taste much better than fast food joints 😂
Grego I was expecting it to be full of bacon. Pancakes, flapjacks usually what we call them in the states.

That was a Carl's Jr veggie egg, and veggie bacon, and veggie pancakes, and veggie potato gems - sorry, potato gems. In South Australia they've just banned single use plastics so we now use veggie cutlery

Carl's Jnr is the best out of all the burger chains.
not really, the quality taste just isn't there. American/European food is worse than the Australian equivalent. We pay more for it, but it's of far higher quality.

We don't hve Carl's Jr on this side of the country, but out of the big burger chains, HJ's is the Burger King here.

How would you know the difference between American bacon and Australian bacon? There's a hundred types of bacon and brands that sell it in America.
Here in America most of the bacon is from the belly! Australian bacon is what they call back bacon! Google can explain it a lot better than I can! Cheers 🥓

You should have taken Ian's advice, that made my stomach twist with revulsion. Bacon shavings is how I'd describe that bacon. I miss the old McDonalds Big Breakfast, over the road has ditched scrambled eggs altogether :( How much did it weigh?

I think the grill was a bit dirty since those eggs turned out so dark.

Greg, What I do is Make a hole in the middle of the pancakes and put the syrup in there, that way the cakes absorb all the syrup! AND the Tater Tots Need Salt and Ketchup!

That is definitely American bacon, although it's thinner. Even in the USA, cheap bacon is thicker than that, although often even fattier than the bacon paper in this video.

First time I've heard of taters tots being called potato gems!
I leaned a while ago that Carl jr. is not a nice place. I was at the Kilburn store and it was noisy, dirty and in need of fixing. And the prices, well!!

G'day Greg'o. Now that's a breakfast I'd try regardless of you being told "Don't Do It"... Geez that bacon must've been made at Ansell it's so ultra thin.! And the maple syrup is maple flavoured syrup. The egg was a bit howdy doody. This meal should've been served up in a compartmented tray.

I didn't know gems were another word for tator tots.
In Straya we call them Potato Gems
They've never been called tater tots in Aus. The Aussie Birds Eye brand makes potato gems as they were the first brand to make them here and trademarked the name (similar story to the US tater tot name origin story) so other brands have their own names even store brands but they are all the same thing. ALDI has potato jewels, Woolworth's supermarket has potato minis, Coles supermarket has potato royals, McCain has potato bites.

Even here in the States. Carl’s Jr/ Hardee’s is not the place for bacon. You could read the Lord’s Prayer through it. We go there for the southern style breakfast. Biscuits and sausage gravy. The spicier the better. If you want real bacon. Local mom and pop joints are the best in my little neck of the woods. Thick and cooked to perfection. Thanks for the vids Greggo. Love watching from the other side of world. Keep it up.

Mate, Greg is safe up in Queensland. They only have 11 active cases in the entire state! Australia has low numbers now and half of the states had many weeks covid free. Now we are getting trickles of cases. Poor South Aus had to get put into hard lockdown this week as a family cluster case went bonkers up to 17 people infected. But they are only locked up for two weeks unlike us in VIC who were for over 100 days!

Fast food bacon and breakfast is trash in general, well in america at least lol. It's microwaved in tubs and pre-cooked.
No idea about australia, but UK bacon seems more like ham to me since it's from more near the loin rather than the belly. Good american thick cut bacon for me all day since the fat is just more flavor/crispness.
