I know it is a junk van but leaving the gas cap off because you dropped it and pushing the tires out and leaving them on the ground is junk yard disrespectful. Remove what you need and put back what you can.
@scottpetrini756 I appreciate your concern. Damaging good, useful parts is completely unacceptable. However, none of that occurred. Simply put, the gas cap was broken, as evidenced by it falling out of my hands, and certainly is not protecting the rotten gas tank that the yard staff had drilled holes into at the bottom. As for the tires that were not from the vehicle and prevented access to the interior of the car i was looking at... they were likely placed there by the yard staff when they removed the prior vehicle from that location. Nothing of value was damaged or left in the walk way blocking access to the car. I doubt I relieved your concerns but I hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
@MNMoparminivans, Exactly. Always will be someone who will complain. Just the nature of people who posts comments. Those rims in yhe back look like those from caddys in the 90s by the way. Enjoy your videos.
@@MNMoparMinivan , Fan of those caravans from 94 to 2000. Still the best & economical means to haul people to just about anything else you can load in em in my opinion.
I saw what looked like the other hubcaps under the very most rear seats if you were looking for them. I remember working on this generation Caravans as a taxi mechanic. The vans would always break front sway bars and rear leaf springs.
I had one these (Plymouth) 93 model year with the Mitsubishi V6. Pretty reliable, except on the way to the Ford dealership to trade in for a new pickup, the AC stopped working.
Those two Chrysler hubcaps on the floor (seen at 3:52 and 4:49), I remembered that we used to have those exact same hubcaps on my mom's 1990 Plymouth Voyager. I always loved that hubcap design and I feel nostalgic seeing those hubcaps from my old childhood Voyager.
I'd wager that this van was parked because either the timing belt broke and quit running, or more often the trans turned every gear into neutral! It def still had life left in it back then, owner probably couldnt afford either repair.
And of corse you got a van in your yard I need a engine harness for 🙄 I’ve got the tranny (3 speed) but the harness is different between the 31th and the A604 if I found a 3 speed van I could get my deceased aunts van back in the road and drive it as I told her I promised I would get it running for her while she was still alive. I’m titling it in my name on her birthday here this month on the 23rd she would have been 83.
@@MNMoparMinivan nothing is wrong with it the harness is different between the two transmissions the current a604 in the van is leaking and the diff pin is eating at the housing. So I’ve got a spare 3 speed sitting around that has around 90 something thousand that can swap in but I need the kick down and engine harness for a 3 speed van.
Nice Video! You mentioned that this is a short 2nd gen, Did they have long 2nd gen? I have only ever seen the short one, but 1st-3rd gens are extremely rare where I live now.
@Compact-Disc_700mb short 2nd gens are arguably more rare than lwb models. They have short and long wheelbase for 1st-4th gens. Easiest giveaway is the length of the back window.
I was actually just looking through your videos.. Im picking up a turbo 1st gen but they dont know if there is keys for it.. should i just drill the tumbler for now? I see I would have to pull the wheel and take the column apart to get to the tumbler area...
@thestuffz you should be able to access the pin for the tumbler by pulling just the horn iirc. I just had my 90' column apart like a month ago. I also have a video somewhere on a red 90' that i butchered apart if you havent seen that. I don't remember if you have to remove the locking retainer or not but there's a push pin and it should drop the lock cylinder out. That being said, try every single dodge key you have first you might get lucky.
That’s funny with the key behind the license plate and reminds me of the time I found a spare key for a 96 Caravan zip tied to the dipstick and it was of course corroded😂. I cut the zip tie and put it on the seat. Otherwise I found a chip key in a key box behind the rear bumper in a 02 T&C and they cut part of the top of the key to make it fit
@@MNMoparMinivan It is an elderly person thing lol. I found a spare set of keys behind the trash can in a magnetic box in a school bus my work got from a dealership😂
