As an indian. Who knows about their past products. They have made a huge progress. I can trust that the car will not break and also that i will be safe considering indian roads, who knows what might pop up or when a pothole might come. I just hope they do something about that boot. It's not practical at all. If they give a 5 seater option. It will be perfect for a family who can go on a trip with enough space in the back for the luggage.
The Scorpio would be absolutely brilliant if they dispose of third row seat, and fix the boot storage. At the moment it is the number one detractor from buying the vehicle, it’s a total mess. I agree, the captains chairs are very cool. Great video, well done Jacob.
The current lack of intrusive safety features in the Scorpio like lane assist and auto braking may be a concern for some/most, but for me that is a plus. I wouldn't need to turn off such features (if possible) every time I went for a drive. The Scorpio looks fine from the front but that rear view is a little uninspiring. That said, I am going to test drive one for a possible purchase; thanks for the encouraging video.
Yay its a good car.....Lact of adas is already solved....A new model of it will be launched in India by march which will have all the lacking safety feature as well as level2 adas....I am happy that you are thinking to try a Indian Car...If you dont know,In Suzuki is called Maruti suzuki and its cars are as sh@t as tin can.....You can also look onto xuv700 its too a great car.....
Sir If I recommened you pls check this car out ,which is of Tata Motors its called - 2024 Tata Harrier DARK edition...Its the best car i have seen it has received 5 star in both adult and child occupancy in Globalncap and BNCAP....
They need to get on top of there buggy software issues. I still have issues with a randomly auto resetting trip meter. Other than that and a steering feedback issue I can’t fault the vehicle.
We (family) owned Mahindra Bolero (2017), and Scorpio (2015) and a commercial bolero pickup ( 2019). The biggest problem we face body Rust in all three vehicle, thats all, nothing else, engine is good, reliability is good. But body rust especially under the front dashboard, and the rear part of undercarriage. If this issue no longer affects these newer models then I might recommend them to friends.
My Volvo XC40 got rear ended when the saftey tech wrongly intervened. If i was driving the mahindra, i wouldn't have crashed. (Unexpectedly Jammed on brakes in the middle of busy intersection)
I personally dont think any other car manufacturers in India are investing in RnD like Mahindra is. India has had car manufacturers for a long time but our carmakers only target devevloping nations as the cars are generally underpowered and also cheaper than the cars available in developed nations. But Mahindra is the first brand that seems to be going truely global and I honestly believe they will do it and their cars name will soon be taken along side with some of the best off roading and SUV brands. Did I mention they have a formula E team.

Great car if all goes well, if you have a problem like I do 5 months in (since day 1), then you have to deal with dealerships and regional offices. This makes for nightmare ownership. Rather get a car from a different brand.
Design is one thing. I'm sure they are doing well. But quality assurance in manufacturing is a whole different game. Check out Graeme Harris who bought 1, modified it, really tried to like it, but had to many issues. He moved on to Toyota.
mahindra is like "tough like a ford in terms of body shell and reliability near to toyota level".of course it will not as reliable as toyota but it is more reliable than nissan, trust me.also,it can operate in minus 10 degree (in kashmir ofcourse) and 50 degree centigrade (in desert of india).and people use mahindra SUV in taxi fleet (another favorite company among taxi driver is suzuki).
Love hearing an unbiased review about Mahindra. As an owner of a Mahindra myself, I'm happy that an Indian company is stepping up and giving the global giants a run for their money. Their cars have truly improved leaps and bounds and I can't wait for their EVs to drop.
please make a video on tata motors too they have better quality and budget than mahindra better evs too they are going to launch thheir cars in austrila too by 2025 or later but i love their safari
Mahindra far surpasses Tata in terms of quality. Tata's cheaper cars are alright. You are already aware about their horrible aftersales and service. Sold mum's 7 month old punch cuz of that. The new safari deserves a RWD or a 4wd given how much that thing costs. Even there too, they have the panel gap issues, and quite a few quality issues. This is where Mahindra wins. Tata has a lot to catch up.
i don't think so they looks better than mahindra too and they also copies their designs like concept cars (curvv) i know that they took the same designer from tata motors but why still, they have Pinin farina, tatas still have better tech too like better adas and less glitchy infotainment system, Mahindra's are more reliable but i don't think in terms of evs it matters a lot tata has better batteries and quality in evs of course aftersales depends on service centers too@@Eltonoconnor

How is that a detractor. It can simply be removed in a couple of minutes.

Tata vehicles having reliability issues after 4-5 years. If they fix those issues it would be great.
If they go electric then they can go home.
