Special Movements 14 October 2023

Saturday 14th October
There was a flurry of HST movements in the area today,
First up is the LSL Pullman which passed through Tamworth on a Eastleigh to Carlisle and back Rail Charter with 43047 at north end and 43046 ‘Geoff Drury’ on the south end, it is seen here going to Carlisle, and returning later the same evening passing through Tamworth Low level
The former HST vehicles of CrossCountry have begun to be removed from their home depot Laira this week, two trains (5Z25 and 5Z26) with vehicles from sets XC01, XC02, XC04 and XC05 and were marshalled between two Rail Adventure power cars which took them from Laira to Chaddeston Sidings in Derby. Filmed passing at full line speed at Tamworth High Level, with additional footage of 5Z26 passing Cradley Heath by Steve.M, for which I am grateful.
These will be movements will have made by the leasing company, having gone 'off lease' from CrossCountry, their future is not known. A search of google revealed the vehicles concerned,

Yea it was nice, I suspect he was a bit frustrated following the LNWR service a couple of signals ahead
