Thanks for following through! And the improved top-camera angle makes the video look professional. 👌 To be honest, the loose screw was funny. 😂 Personally, I would consider an actual dud device as QC issue. I agree it could be unsettling the first time you hear it, but the loose screw technically did not affect functionality. "Do not block the fan" most likely meant do not block the rotating fan. Chinese-English sometimes translate too literally for native English speakers. SER5 MAX is where is where you get the audible fan noise. I definitely hear mine. Overall great video. I particularly like the teardown segments.
I bought a mini PC similar to this in March of this year (specifically a SER5 5660U model). And for the first 5-6 months I had it, it worked great (putting aside Windows 11's nonsense). Unfortunately now however, I'm facing a major problem with it. At random moments, the whole picture starts glitching like crazy after having the thing on for more than an hour or 2 (with green and purple showing). Sometimes immediately if I run more intense programs like Blender and such. Now there could be potential reason for it doing this, one being due to me stupidly leaving the thing on 24/7 aside from occasional resets, but I also have a feeling something inside the PC got screwed up or became loose. The only other problem tho is that... since I don't know how to fix tech or take it apart, I don't know what part inside is the source of the problem. Do you have any potential diagnosis for what it could be aside from me being stupid with it?
Very strange - it sounds like a defect with GPU. This isn't something that happens from just leaving it on 24/7 so you weren't wrong in doing that. A GPU issue isn't something you can fix with this because on this model it's built directly into the CPU. Beelink does have a 12 month warranty so if you have your proof of purchase I would recommend emailing their customer support - Warranty policy is here www.bee-link.com/pages/development-history Good luck!
Good machines. Performance to price is probably the mini PC sweet spot. That secondary fan design is a donkey though. I'm embarrassed for Beelink every time I see it.
There wasn't a screw holding down the m.2 drive on mine, and when i opened it up, it popped up in the holder. I'm going to check the thermal paste on the cpu this weekend because it seems to be running a little hot hitting 90C under load. I bought it new a month ago.
If you put something in front of the fan, it is still technically blocked even if it spins, you're just blocking the air and not the blades. Your own words would be better "Do not prevent the fan from turning"
Big stick of chewing gum on the nvme , but is there any cooling / heatsink ? Looked like it just stained the panel with a David Dickinson orange glow . Another nice video though 😁
:) Thanks for sharing! I had issues with getting all the screws out to upgrade RAM, etc, BUT I had to pull SSD OUT due to HEAT issues :( So now I have it externally on USB front port. Also purchased a clamp on fan to put right above unit to cool even more. Still shuts down occasionally.
I do some light 1080p video editing daily, office work and heavy multi tasking with different programs open at the same time. I don't play any video games. Can the pro handle that? I'm looking at the 32 GB RAM version with 500GB Memory
The video editing would be my only concern, everything else would be fine. If you have the budget, I suggest you move up to the Minisforum UM790 Pro, I think that could edit 1080p comfortably
i got one if you want to have it for a long time i recommand to put 40 Watts cpu max and your temp will not go higher than 75 and donwload RYZEN CONTROLLER to put in 40 watts everywhere and 75 max temp and put 8 gig ram in video memory if you have a 32 gig version ; have fun with this super pc/price :) that is for the 5800h version
I'd like to use this mini pc for creating my artwork using Krita or Photoshop. Not as a professional of course 😊. Do you think it would run without problems?
I just returned one because the ports were the wrong configuration and the WI-FI was dead on arrival. Replaced one had WI-FI but ports still wrong. Decided to keep it unless I discover more issues. My first pc so can’t speak to performance as of yet.
Good morning, can you help me? I have a pc like yours, and I have the following problem, after it turns off, the cooler turns on and doesn’t turn off anymore. It keeps running all the time even with the pc turned off. It only stops spinning if I remove the power cord from it...
Seems to be a common problem - there are some solutions/troubleshooting on this reddit thread: www.reddit.com/r/MiniPCs/comments/11fzu4d/beelink_ser5_5600h_fan_wont_stop_after/

Surprisingly I also got the extra screw in my SER5 5700U that I just bought
I had the same issue as you have. A screw that was lying around on the motherboard!!. Luckly, I watched your video before getting my PC.
I'm glad my video helped!! Thanks for watching

They mean do not prevent the fan from turning. Do not block the fan. How would you say it instead?

Can i use this PC without problem for Emulating Batocera
Ps2
Ps3
Xbox 360
Games

Thanks for subbing! The NVME presses against the metal plate with the fan on , it's not exactly thick but it's better than nothing

That's unfortunate! Maybe you would be better off with a 2.5" SATA SSD instead?
Thanks much, and it was a SATA SSD in there :(@@SmallBoxCentral

Could you please tell me what the maximum HDD capacity I can install here is? Thank you.

What do you recommend to maintain the ser5 5700u pro version for a long time
@@bamban_garcia5562 5700u dont need this this cpu not overheated

I can't speak for Krita, but for Photoshop I think this would work perfectly fine for casual use :)

That is unfortunate! Hopefully it performs well for you, mine worked very well other than the screw issue

I put the fan agressive 85c max speed. 90c too hot bruh.
How did u change the fan speed
How is the bios for this pc. Can u config the CPU tdp for better thermal/ performance.
Yes, my channel has BIOS tutorials for SER5 Pro.
@@KatRollo ooh, I saved your link. I think I'll buy one of these!
Bought the beelink 5 pro 5700u I can’t even get a mobile gaming running at more than 15 fps no idea why
I guess that letter makes a big difference, right? No wonder all TH-camrs review the 5800h models only.
The 5700u may be the one without the integrated graphics
I got mine with intel ssd
