Thanks for this video. It helped me upgrade my ram to 32 GB in 5 minutes.
It’s amazing this is the only video that clearly shows which screws you need to remove.

Another great upgrade I did on mine is add a DP 1.4 to HDMI 2.1 adapter which made it able to output 4K@120Hz and a USB 3.2 to 2.5GbE ethernet adapter for faster WAN/LAN connection. 💪

Thank for taking time and sharing this video. I have a Beelink SRE 5 Max Ryzen 7 5800H and I am going to install an external GPU that will connect to my M2 NVme drive port.
Is it possible to use my Nvme drive using a Sata enclosure and connect it to the Sata port ?
This way I won't have to buy a new SSD and I can use my Nvme drive that has all my softwares and OS installed.
Is there an Adapter or enclosure available to accomplish this task ?
I came across with this on amazon
    "M.2 to U.2 Adapter - for M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs - PCIe M.2 Drive to U.2 (SFF-8639) Host Adapter - M2 SSD Converter (U2M2E125)"
I am not sure whether it will work with my mini pc or not ?

I looked long and far for a drive to do this, bought 3 that claimed to do it, and each one failed.
I'd instead suggest putting your NMVe into a enclosure.
My Favorite so far is the Plugable USB-C M.2 NVMe SSD Enclosure; Tool-Free & Driverless.

Thanks for the vid, would have liked to have seen you boot it up etc... Never seen an SSD taken apart like that, i found this vid because I'm thinking about upgrading the RAM to 32GB, but like you, installing an SSD puts me off because of reducing the air flow, now I would definately do the same as you, thanks!

I went back in removed the sata SSD. Slightly loosen the two screws that held the header and reinserted the drive. Lastly snugged the screws and all was quite.

Does the SSD drive not fit in the space "as is"? Does it take a smaller (physical) drive?

    • @Jscar_Hawk
      @Jscar_Hawk  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

It does fit in the space, I just had concerns about overheating, or moving enough air. Because if you put in a full SSD, it blocks the fan.
Which can create a high pitch whining because it’s trying to suck air through the cracks in between the case, and the SSD

Newbie when it comes to PCs- there’s no way to upgrade the graphics card for this right?

    • @Jscar_Hawk

      Awesome! Welcome!!!
Correct, there is no way to upgrade the GPU onboard.

@@Jscar_Hawk can you use a external gpu?

@@TheRealLento yes currently shopping one now, i have seen ETA prime do a build or two with an adt link that has an adapter for the pci slot, it requires some standoffs and the moving of the operating system to the sata but it was pretty sweet to see it in action, also caught a vid from a guy using a gpu enclosure that connected to the beelink via the thunderbolt, also had some pretty sweet action...i initially got this little titan just to hold me over until i figured out the configuration i wanted for a pc build, ive always been a console gamer, and im pretty sure im not gonna ever make a full switch, but having the option to turn this into a powerhouse that can run the pc exclusives ive been missing out on is pretty awesome

What kind of tape did you put on the SSD? I heard you call it something but I didn't understand.

@@indoorsy it should be a normal thermal tape.

My screws on the same model look diffrent. It's a tiny hole and flat. I can't get into this thing.
