Mate, it’s a forty year old neglected car. Your time and effort/money will pay off. If it’s something that you really want so be it, it doesn’t matter how much you’ve spent. You and the family will luv it.😊🍻
Definitely showing all the Agro you get with these old 911’s, nothing is easy and its get so frustrating at times. Your having a proper go at it, and hopefully enjoying it. Every day is a school day with these cars I have found. Good luck
Feal your pain ,be worth it there a hell of a cra and your doing a first class job it will be well sorted in the end I think your ger box is down to adjust as it seemed ok in first part of your vid 👍
Yes, think I need more time on the gearbox to learn how to operate it better and adjust the spline etc. thanks for watching and thanks for the encouragement
This is what a lot of people dont get about being a mechanic. Some jobs should take an hour, but you get a rusted bolt or 2, then you find something else wrong and your down a rabbit hole 😂.
Yes, estimating time on a project like this or even a job on this project is impossible. I can’t imagine having to quote a job on a car like this! Thanks for watching
Another great video! I admire your honesty, as restoration of a classic will always have its low points and test your resolve. However you’re going great, remember it’s only January and you’ve loads of time before the better weather. Focus in on the top down fun to come in your beautiful 911👍 Steve from Norfolk…….. .
Love the video's but to save time in the long run do the job once and do it right, nothing worse than back tracking over half done jobs. Keep up the good work.😊

Think you have summed it up perfectly and I think that is why there are so many half done projects around the world! Thanks for watching
Some days are just like that mate! Every day is progress, keep up the fight
Thanks Stuart, I’ll keep going
never separate the halves . pressing the cylinders out with air
Just keep your fingers away from the pistons. When they move they move FAST.
Ha ha, ok thanks, 🙏 thanks for watching
Thanks I’ll try that, thanks for watching

Ha Ha, yes indeed! Thanks for watching
Hi Shane. And you thought racing was expensive! As others have said, I've seen air used before to force the pistons out. Great blog mate.
Ha Ha, at least I get some of my money back on this project and once its done its done, ish!!

Thanks for the encouragement, you are right, sometimes it’s hard to keep an eye on the bigger picture. Thanks for watching.
Calibers must not be separated! I cleaned my own including grooves for sealings without separation.
Ok, interesting, it does seem everyone’s advice is not to separate them! Thanks for watching and the advice
Came here to write the same thing. Use an airline to get the stuck pistons out
I tried that, pistons didnt move. Thanks for watching
Bigg Red in Worcester would rebuild the calibers back to as new condition
Great, thanks for the info and thanks for watching.
Dont seperate them use a grease gun and grease nippels to take the pistons out
Great tip thanks, I’ll try that. Thanks for watching
