I personally rally enjoyed this format because as far as I know this was the only format that had at least one: fusion, ritual, xyz, and pendulum deck(s) that were the top tier.
omg yes. This makes me so happy. I started playing right after the release of Duelist Alliance, and once Nekroz format started, damn. I loved it. There was so much variety, nekroz was amazing but other decks were still competitive and it was just so fun. I honestly loved playing the nekroz mirror match. The deck was easy to be good with, but it was hard to be "really good" if that makes sense. I love nekroz
THis is actually my favorate format when i joined yugioh it when this format was almost dying but i loved this format my fav deck was shaddolls even after contruct was banned i still play it to this day
fellow metalhead into yugioh? subbed. Just getting into Nekroz, so this video was very helpful. only played against it once while it was at its best and I hated it.
The first "chapter" of the Divine Comedy is called "Inferno", and the entirety of the Divine Comedy is written by a man named Dante. Therefore, it is usually referred to as "Dante's 'Inferno'."
Honestly, thank you yuginono. I love playing old and made up formats, and learning about them is no doubt a nostalgica trip. In fact, me and my friends love playing our own pseudo format, where we play with all the macr cards, but with zoodiac Ratpier at 3. It sounds terrible but it's actually really skillful and fun especially when zoo is splashable in literally anything. We made crazy decks like zoodiac burning abyss and zoodiac grave keeper and decks to hard counter it. I honestly love the zoo mirror and I feel like it's the exact opposite of the nekroz mirror, fun and fast paced. It's also very skillful, especially when Ghost ogre, ghost reaper, and ash blossom would come into play. We've been playing it for about a month now and I think it's the format we are going to stick with.
I actually kinda want April 2012 format. Inzektors wind ups and chaos dragons were all super broken but there was a surprising amount of diversity. With stuff like lancer frogs and Hero beat always sneaking in a top place finish.
Man i loved this format post djin lock ban, it was a lot of fun and variety, around that time decatron came out and i would play infernoids while maining 3 mistakes for the nekroz and qli match ups, it was a pretty good rogue deck thanks to main decking mistake and reasoning being at 3. mermail also saw some degree of play and blackwings sure where more viable back then then they are now. It was just a great time for me and my friends and we where just damn glad that we where free from lavaval chain and his djin buddies.
I was that Hero player in this format and boy was it fun to drop Dark Law, BTW didn't Ritual Beast use Tempest to banish their monsters and out Shaddol Winda?
this format was my favorite to play there was alot of stuff you could do and was prity diverse despite the staples and decks that were overly meta because they could tech a crazy amount of stuff (expecially shaddolls)
I loved this format. Them Masked HEROs hit and I tore it up against the meta (at the local level). Nekroz was my hardest matchup (obviously), but I beat most Nekroz decks at my locals in a match, and beat up on Qlis since I had my deck tailored to main to deal with those bastards. It was so great when no one thought I would be able to compete when I first showed up with them and then won that same tournament.
ALWAYS remember to play around Nekroz of Trishula... AND Nekroz of Valkyrus. Don't even TRY to OTK them when you know they have it unless you have the out to Valk. An important lesson of the format!
Glen Moody-Elias ur actually right i was thinking about later in the year jan to feb 2015 was dijinn format i was playing beelze and void ogre turbo then .
A.who else misses this channel and B.who else was so young when they found this channel they were surprised to find out eugine was actually Yuginono acting as someone else
I miss this format so much. I haven't had such fun playing Yugioh since. Like I haven't even really played much recently since this format isn't my cup of tea.
I remember those dark scrub days and my budget heroes deck i made back then when my (at the time) girlfriend's dad beat my ass with his nekroz a lot XD
Duelist Alliance format was such a love hate experience for me. After Sylvans didn't keep up as well in the beginning of Alliance format, I switched to madolche and then Shaddoll won me over as soon as secret forces came out. Playing against Nekroz on top of everything else in the meta made me a better player in so many different aspects. Never felt the same playing yugioh since then
I really miss playing Shaddolls. I decided to start playing them just at the tail end of the April 1st format before the July banlist hit Lavalval Chain. It kinda hurt but I still played the deck every now and then but when Construct got hit in November and then Kozmos came out it got harder and harder to win and the decks I went up against got more and more stupid, so I dropped them in favor of more casual decks like Mermails. I really wanted to play Shaddolls in the Team Bropire tournament too but none of it fit my schedule so I was really bummed. Hopefully they get Construct off the list within the next few banlists because I really miss playing that deck, the artwork and playstyle was so appealing to me.
This is my favorite format despite vanity and if honest i had to much fun to care i love shaddolls for a good reason it my favorite fusion deck and i love use super poly to kill unbreakable bord
Djinn is definitely broken,, even right now. But Ritual support? Wtf are you talking about? Besides Arc Light and Preparation of Rites. Rituals have like nothing compared to other summoning methods.
Djinns, Arc Light, Preparation of rights all contributed to bringing rituals from a fun deck idea to broken. To be fair it was mostly due to the Djinns but still.
Hope that you enjoyed guys! Be sure to donate to the patreon and let me know which format that you want next!
January 2015 list: yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/January_2015_Lists_(TCG)
YugiNoNo dragon rulers
Infernity format would be cool. All I know was that Soul Charge and Lavalval Chain were at 3 and Infernity won at Worlds.
Nerdy George Washington That was not fun, what I remember was 4 Xyz in one turn and gajillion floodgates
YugiNoNo 2003 format before the ban list is fun since all the broken cards can be played at 1
ClippersNBAChampions2017 He already did that, May 2002 Yugi-Kaiba format.
I personally rally enjoyed this format because as far as I know this was the only format that had at least one: fusion, ritual, xyz, and pendulum deck(s) that were the top tier.
So many varieties are good. When people Ask where synchro, like yugioh Jesus said "Nekroz wear their skin"
@@hyoroemonmeto6874 I mean shaddoll did play snycros
The big five: Burning Abyss, Qliphorts, Nekroz, Shaddolls, and Tellarknights. Those were the days...
Adorail299 still feels like yesterday
It dose I miss those days
@@kolbyhumphreys1468 I do too
Nekroz shaddoll and burning abys is still meta
My fav format!
when they call it Nekroz format but BA mirror was the WCQ final
House of Champs DONT SHIT TALK JON!
House of Champs probably because that was post djinn ban, so it wasn't really nekroz format anymore but 7-axis format.
snitch
Thought Tellarknight won the WCQ that year.
To be fair, Nekroz was hit really hard at that time, and we all know that Konami would never touch BA.
Great work on this video, man. Formatted and released with 10/10 quality.
Instant slap.
Praise the lord! This is when I was kicking ass!
SHURIT, STRATEGIST OF THE NEKROZ Fo sho
YugiNoNo Konami were to brutal with the banlist on November 2015, I should have stayed limited without 2 Brio and 2 uni
SHURIT, STRATEGIST OF THE NEKROZ
COME BACK TO US, SHURIT!!!!!!!!!!
cloroxdust dragon You must pray for my return.
FREE SHURIT!!!!!
February 2015-November 2015 best formats of the games history
it's really about time you make a video for everyone's favorite format , obviously im talking about towers turbo format
Westin Mcclister Hahahaha oh god
Master piece exists now, though... Can we get towers to 1?
(screams at the sound of)
I must admit that I played Qli during this time. No, I do not regret it. Sometimes it's fun to duel without having to use your brain.
Drew Armstrong, The Glorious Lobster Emperor well I've played satellarknights so I know that feel
omg yes. This makes me so happy. I started playing right after the release of Duelist Alliance, and once Nekroz format started, damn. I loved it. I came into Dulles Alliance format it was the best format ever
same
Same here, that was the format I started playing competitive yugioh in
THis is actually my favorate format when i joined yugioh it when this format was almost dying but i loved this format my fav deck was shaddolls even after contruct was banned i still play it to this day
This is the content I pray for. Thank you, Yugioh Jesus.
CallMeNevermore You're welcome my child.
I loved this format. It was so much fun and there was a lot of creativity.
Favorite format right here
Introduction to Edison Format would be awesome.
I starded playing during this format , wow does this video take me back , great job and keep up the amazing work
fellow metalhead into yugioh? subbed. Just getting into Nekroz, so this video was very helpful. only played against it once while it was at its best and I hated it.
damn a yugituber doing quality videos :O keep it up yugi jesus
'Dante's Infer- I mean BA...'
It's nice to know that others know the origin of the deck and it's lore.
Except that the story which BA is based on is called A Divine Comedy and not Dante's Inferno
The first "chapter" of the Divine Comedy is called "Inferno", and the entirety of the Divine Comedy is written by a man named Dante. Therefore, it is usually referred to as "Dante's 'Inferno'."
Next year: Intro to Zoo format!
you play zoo, infernoid, or dino, you win.
True Draco. Not Dinos. Dinos weren't(and aren't) meta.
well done
lol " and now we have dante's inferno"
Side deck Djinn for Djinn
jinzo_network #neverforget
this was the format when I started playing yugioh
HAT format or dragon ruler format have always been interesting to look back on, so one of them!!!
Dickslapped the like button for my friend that lives for Nekroz. He even collects every Nekroz card.
I call for intro to Dragon Ruler format, yata lock format, and macro rabbit format.
Honestly, thank you yuginono. I love playing old and made up formats, and learning about them is no doubt a nostalgica trip. This brings memories
I was that Hero player in this format and boy was it fun to drop Dark Law, BTW didn't Ritual Beast use Tempest to banish their monsters and out Shaddol Winda?
MasterMike 05 Forgot about that! But yes they did.
I remember this format so well because its the format that I started to really play in.
Also gotta say this #FreeConstruct, and #FreeTowers.
I started in nekroz format and I started with hero's it was SOOOO fun I love that format
My favorite format of all times :D
I shed a tear while seeing 3 ulti-cannahawks in the rb build ;____; s a d
Zoodiac: "I'm the best meta deck!"
Full-power Nekroz: "Hold my beer."
WHOS LAUGHING 3 YEARS LATER BITCH?
I still run Yosenju's. Nekroz format was definitely my favorite format and the first I played competitively.
this format was my favorite to play there was alot of stuff you could do and was prity diverse despite the staples and decks that were overly meta because they could tech a crazy amount of stuff (expecially shaddolls)
Nice vid
jdtreker Thanks!
I remember when Patrick hoben didn't side out the djinn lock

YuseiTheSynchroHero Yeah I actually cut out a lecture about valkyrus and some other stuff because I didnt want the video to be too long.
YugiNoNo That's fair!
you should post it as its own thing?
Best format every
The first format I played competitively in and the best one ever imo
im still playing nekroz and destroying the meta with my kaiju splash, its awesome and so much fun to play. i will never let my nekroz down
Do you read new comments on old vids?
Mattattack01 If notice comments, I notice comments.
ok thanks i was just wondering cause i commented on a vid 2 days ago but i think it was 24 hours old at that time
in fact it was an interesting format , I loved playing it
Introduction to HAT format. The hand mindgames were crazy (and duels which lasted much longer lol)
When they call it Nekroz format but Tellarknights were the world champion that year
Worlds doesn't do shit on affecting the meta. R4NKNights only won because of the Worlds banlist.
Rip volcanics didn't get featured :(
Adam Chan jan 2015 format i played volcanic clownblade to counteract dijinn lock nekroz using chain to dump thr volcanic trap in yard lol
Clownblade wasn't possible until later though, which was the November list. A specific mention was made for that.
Glen Moody-Elias ur actually right i was thinking about later in the year jan to feb 2015 was dijinn format i was playing beelze and void ogre turbo then .
When will you do dragon ruler format?
DRuler format next?
shadollsworn was my deck of choice back then #notashamed
I remember this the best fucking format in the entierty of YGO
A.who else misses this channel and B.who else was so young when they found this channel they were surprised to find out eugine was actually Yuginono acting as someone else
You should do a intro to Pepe format.
nekroz format was the format i first played in
This video showed up in my recommendation making me think yuginono is back
Next pepe format
Wondering if you are planing to do an introduction to zoodiac format 2 years from now :3
Someone forgot the deck that popped up later in the January formats life span that is dank matter rulers
I just got my tellarknight deck lol in ocg format. One of my favorite formata in yugioh
It's actually pretty weird that I started the second half of my junior year of High School while Nekroz was at full power
best format yugioh ever had.
And remember the guy who won a event with Infernoids in Nekroz format.
Can you do infernity format next and please do more of this I like it
i dick slapped that like button, and now i am expecting a child support notice in my mailbox.
Carlos Alverto Yeah my like button lawyered up...
Awesome
best format in the game imo
I miss this format so much. I haven't had such fun playing Yugioh since. Like I haven't even really played much recently since this format isn't my cup of tea.
I remember those dark scrub days and my budget heroes deck i made back then when my (at the time) girlfriend's dad beat my ass with his nekroz a lot XD
7:15 God I miss this shit...
this video induced some serious salty flashbacks
Will there ever be another Introduction to ... Format video?
Duelist Alliance format was such a love hate experience for me. I wish it lasted for ever😔
I really miss playing Shaddolls. I decided to start playing them just at the tail end of the April 1st format before the July banlist hit Lavalval Chain. Oh yes, the 2015 format, or as i'll always remember it, when rota was at 3, and i could play Junk Doppel Synchro
The good old times....
Inb4 Nekroz prices go up because of the revival of the Nekroz format due to a popular yugituber
Tristan Moehl I doubt it. Nekroz are dead.
YugiNoNo true, but imo, goat format became very popular soon after you talked about the format. i thoroughly enjoy these format videos 👍
My favorite series
Josenju missed the omiyobo for consistency. The one hand trap that didn't return to the hand.
Can you do the format with Inzektors, Wind-ups, Chaos Dragons, and Dino Rabbit?
Sobebody tell me where does he get the rellys from so that i can ply to
Anyone know a discord to play the July 2015 format in or april?
I played yosenju back then when vanity was at three.
Komoney should unban the cosplayers and make a structure with them to make buttloads of dosh
When where the Dragon Rulers Released?
I played a plant deck in this format. I made some stupid boards wirh that deck. So where do i find people that play this format?
This is my favorite format despite vanity and if honest i had to much fun to care i love shaddolls for a good reason it my favorite fusion deck and i love use super poly to kill unbreakable bord
Problem with Nekroz wasn't that it was broken, it's because of the broken ritual support like Djinns that were abused at the time.
Genesis I agree.
