Krampus looks spectacular! I especially like the hands. I made hands for an old woman at Halloween, by putting spray foam inside latex gloves. As they started setting up, I formed them around some soda bottles to give them curvature. I started pinching and squeezing spots to make veins and wrinkles. I was really proud of the way they turned out.
Okay, you guys NAILED IT! This is FANTASTIC! Thank you for hearing our pleas and doing a stunning Krampus! Wonder how a snow man could be dragged over to the dark side? For inspiration, remember what Calvin of Calvin and Hobbes used to do with snowmen in his front yard, to the point his parents barely wanted to admit to the neighbors that they lived there! There's some good ideas in there!
There's also some spooky versions in winter or Christmas themed horror games. And even some comedy horror movies that have done something with a killer snowman that could be used as inspo also!
The third picture on the right you showed as an example was not Krampus it was a "Percht" those are traditionally not always depicted with massive tongues. They stem from the tradition of "Raunächte" where they have solid carved wooden masks , cowbells and fur suits to repell any evil spirits. Yes there's a huge difference, traditionally Krampus masks aren't full hardwood, they are a softer wood composite with fabric and always a big red tongue. In Austria we have both traditions and a lot of traditional groups that keep it allive. Even museums detailing our history about Perchten and Krampus + ( all the other figures that actually take part in the wild Hunt)
I just want you guys to know I love ur videos, I’d didn’t know they could be so spooky and so inspiring at the same times. You’ve helped me through lots of stressful times and I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate it
Krampus hath arrived!! Duct tape, foam, and hot glue, everything you need to upgrade your decor! 😁 My daughter and I were so excited to watch this, thank you guys for knocking it out of the park, as always! 💜
Awesome! I bet you guys could sell a ton of these... since it seems like a lot of people love the idea of extending Halloween further into the Holiday season!
Another fantastic build! Seeing Krampus with his tongue out made me think of Gene Simmons. That made me think of an undead rock band playing Death Metal in your yard next Halloween.
Fun fact I’ve actually seen the movie mother krampus and it’s the only horror movie that actually kind of freaked me out just from all the bloody and gruesome things she did Also love how you did krampus it’s always fun to see the transformations you do to everything 😄😄
While I hate the American version of Krampus, I think you guys did a really good job! In Austria Krampus actually has his own holiday on the 5th of December, a day before Saint Nicholas day. There is parades and everything. It's really fun
YES!!! Finally a full sized Krampus for Christmas!! You are my heroes! I have been wanting to do one for years but had no idea where to start! This is AWESOME!! Thank You!!
Everyone's favorite Christmas charcter! A fun fact though, Santa Claus and Siant Nicholas aren't the same person. Saint Nicholas was a real man who would go around giving out presents. He was the one connected to Krampus.
Nicholas the bishop was a real person. But the saint part is based on mere legends about the real person, which certainly isn't unique in the saints department. And Santa Claus is based on Saint Nicholas. So you could argue, it is the same person, though the culture around it and the stories and customs developed quite differently.
Krampus has nothing to do with Christmas tho. Krampus is St. Nicholas' (Sinterklaas in Dutch, which became Santa Claus in the US because of European settlers) helper. He punishes naughty kids in Krampusnacht (Krampus night) on the night from december 5th to december 6th.
sorry i'm a year late - you're totally right but people outside from middle europe they likely don't know this, as an austrian tho I love to see they even put the efford in doing this :)
I love him! I adored the Krampus movie made a few years ago and this reminds me of his look in that. In fact I loved the film so much I purchased a copy of the Krampus bell. lol Great stuff!
It's a good prop if the BOTH of you jumped when he activated the first time 😂 Too bad the tongue couldn't be incorporated with the speaking, but other than that you guys did as usual a magnificent job! It looks amazing!!!
This guy looks so cool! Y’all never disappoint! I love the face and horns and hands and… well everything! I’m actually doing a Christmas/ krampus themed room in my haunt next year! Y’all are so creative and funny! Also Transworld is getting closer and closer and I can’t wait to meet y’all there! Happy holidays and stay safe!
You guys should upcycle one of those moving reindeer decorations to go with crampus. Typically, those are just lights and sticks, but I can see you guys really going ham and having fun with making it your own.
I love your Krampus! I’m 66 years old, and last Christmas was the first time I ever heard of Krampus and it’s a Canadian thing. I learned it from Murdoch Mysteries and love the story behind it. 🎄
How about making a door costume? As in you open your front door and put a faux door there which looks to have a Halloween decoration on it, but the "decoration" is a costume. Something you can slip into from the inside. The actual decoration part can be anything you feel like. A grim reaper, a demon, a witch, a zombie... any thing you feel like. I feel like the reaper would be easiest though as you could make a moving jaw.
Beautifully done, very clever and a fantastic end result. My only suggestion as someone who works with fabric is ironing it before you cut or shape it will give you better results. The paint job is well done, especially the aging details.
Thank you guys so much! I’m so honored that you used my comment/recommendation on the beginning of this video! You guys are such an inspiration and my favorite TH-camrs! Thank you guys! 😊 ❤️ 🎉
Just a tip for painting skin, underpainting with blue provides a realistic luminance when you paint over it with slightly translucent paint, which is a trick the Renaissance artists learned, and what makes the skin tones in their paintings characteristically luminous.
Yet another AMAZING creation. This is freaking cool guys. So much creativity, that my mind is blown every time. Not to mention the clever ways you guys think up ways to make each part. Love how you don't go super complicated or expensive, yet it looks like you did, bcuz you are that dang good! I wouldn't mind to see you guys go all out every now and then, if you ever wanted to use the 3D printer and other more expensive/complex stuff though. Be cool to see what you pull off. P.S. If you guys could ever make Beetlejuice, I would be ecstatic lol. One of my favorite movies of all time. Beetlejuice can def look scary as hell. Sorry for rambling guys. I just get overly excited watching your vids.😅All of it (as with every video) is made even better bcuz of your guys' infectious personalities. Such nice people, with hilariously adorable personalities. Your daughter is SO CUTE btw!
This is absolutely rad! I saw the Wizard at Home Depot and thought ‘Damn, that would be a cool Krampus’ we ended up getting the huge werewolf but it’s great to see you guys had the same thought 😊

Oh my gosh!! The paint job is amazing and made such a huge difference. The wire with plastic wrap and foil combo is so cool. I never ever knew I could do that. I have to much joy watching your channel. You're both amazing. Also, your little daughter is so so cute! She is going to have the best Halloweens forever.
Jamie and Jay what can i say but Brilliant makeover from the Wizard to Krampus, the paint work on the hands and face look amazing defo Hollywood bound artists, and you both do cracking videos so well done to you. Stay Safe, Barry (ENG)
for the robe, if yall ever need to reuse an animatronics outfit, you can always use fabric dye. take an old pot, water, and fabric dye and boil your cloth! just some advice i've seen in doll making videos :)
This actually makes me want to see you guys do a wizard, but like a really cool evil wizard, with lights and stuff. Maybe some runes or something carved into his skin for extra creepiness.
This turned out really awesome! One thought I had was if you did a light coat of spray on adhesive on the crystal ball. Then you could toss some fake snow on it, almost like Krampus has trapped those souls in his mystical snowball prison.
this is great! my 4 year old godson recently learned about Krampus and is absolutely obsessed (he loves all things horror it's adorable lol) I can't wait to show him this!
Fantastic! I´m German and my family never told me about Krampus but now i think he is really cool! I love it that your daughter has no fear of your creations, i hope my children will later love Halloween as much as you did.
Omg I just have to say thank you for continuing this series of taking these animatronics and making them look so much cooler! I was afraid these vids would end after Halloween but thanks for continuing them they’re my fav!! keep up the great ideas☺️!!
Yay! It would be so cool to do other spooky Xmas stuff! A giant Spooky Cat instead of Spider for Yule Cat, Witch or something for Gryla and gargoyles or gnomes for her Yule Lads....
