No she is allowed to talk to him but it’s illegal to physically interfere in any way which may compromise the drone causing an accident, grabbing his arms and cuffing him for example

@@Defeat89 Swearing isnt necessarily a crime. For example “you fucking 🤬” boom dont even finish the sentence - thats a public order offence. But to say *trips over* “ow my fucking leg” isnt a directive. Meaning its not said with the intention of fueling anger, its just a word used to encapsulate the emotion within the context of the sentence. And that ladies and gents is why i love and respect the english language.

Interfering with a drone flight may also be an offence under Article 240 of the Air Navigation Order in endangering the aircraft (it does not matter that it is unmanned). The Air Navigation Order distinguishes drones which carry out surveillance.
Small unmanned aircraft are exempt from the provisions of Regulation 240 by way of Regulation 23. So distracting a drone operator in a way that results in damage to his drone alone is NOT a criminal offence. 👍🏻

I'm pretty sure the Coverdrone insurance is better than the DJI refresh plan because the excess is a lot less and there are no limits on how many times you can claim. So if you had a fly off or crashed in the water then I think the excess is only £50 and you get a replacement drone. I believe DJI limit replacements to two ?

In the UK use drone doctor for repairing dji drones, they are affiliated with dji 👍🏻

Marti, my son had the Parrot Anafi drone which is excellent. However, it simply fell out of the sky one day, from 40m, because the battery failed, even though the on screen battery icon said 23%. Apparently the batteries have several cells, and if one of those fails, the whole battery fails with it. We picked up his drone with a brush and dustpan!!!

The Legal Ramifications of talking to a drone pilot in UK includes the police and members of the public are serious. It is irrelevant if you don’t know the law you can be charged. Ignorance is not a defence.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) takes drone safety seriously. Interrupting an operator could be considered reckless endangerment, punishable by fines or even imprisonment. This is the first thing you should say to police and the fact you will report them to the CAA. What are your details is the second thing you should say to those interfere and this includes police details.
