I had the thought originally that it would be a love triangle involving Rose and the Hero girl, but the further the anime went, the more unrealistic that started to seem. Usato is decidedly not a fan of spending much time with Rose, even if he respects her as his master.

One of the things I unironically love about this series is that our hero Usato is not the toughest person around. THAT honor belongs to his master. A refreshing change of pace from the usual "Isekai hero who's the most powerful force around" character
also for once the hero doesnt get a unique ability only he has. He actually works hard and is innovative with his abiliity
eh give it time he's still training and as they said healing magic that him and rose have is extremely rare. Sometimes going to happen to tip him over at some point.

furthermore, he used a highly volitile form of magic as FLASHBANGS on numerous occasions, most of which had some degree of self-harm involved.
This is why I love the series; it makes a simple concept and explores every. single. facet of it, instead of bringing in different things to add depth.
The later has a place in media, but I love it when a character is clearly shown to be using their smarts to create new techniques instead of just having a training session or something.

One of the things i love about the series is that big sister little brother dynamicbetween Rose and Usato. Their constant sniping at each other during training, the headbutts, her pissing him off and him ranting about it in the disry, him with the snide little comments, but underneath it all they both care about each other

I love the relationship between Rose and Usato at this point in the story. They give each other all kinds of shit, but they also respect the hell out of each other.
The captain and Meroleona would get along perfectly, like BFFs 😂 maybe even Tsunade can join them and make it a trio of monster hotties 😂😂 all 3 have stuff in common
Final Fantasy Tactics introduced this idea decades ago. In that game the Healer class are also Unarmed Martial Art MONSTERS that can wreck the badguys and heal your party members at the same time. It was badass. Nice to see an anime dedicated to the concept.

The really messed up thing is….. this is how healing magic would be used if it really existed. Sure you’d have regular healers but there would be so many that would learn it just to have infinite stamina, limitless strength.

The dude with the white hair and mage kids in uniformed robes are all from Chivalry of a Failed Knight iirc. I know for certain that the pink haired lass with the yellow ribbons and fire magic is from Failed Knight, and the rest of them are dressed in similar garbs so I'm comfortable saying they're all from the same series
