  • Norway in the 90's was very fruitful and fertile ground for some of the best black metal ever created. Ved Buens Ende was a "supergroup" of sorts, though not a prolific project, that created some of the most mind warping and genre re-defining metal that has yet to be witnessed. Carl-Michael Eide, Vicotnik and Skoll were the power trio behind this band, who's collective resumes feature some of your favorite Norwegian bands over the years, but with VBE, crafted jazz and experimental elements together with that organic Northern blackness we all know and love, to create something truly avant-garde and magical. How did the Metallurgists process something so out in left field? Join in the conversation to find out!

I heard this album before I heard a lot of black metal and had no idea what I was listening to! Still such a unique record nearly 30 years later.

It's an odd listen, but isn't so overbearingly weird that is makes it unlistenable. Totally intriguing band and album. Thanks for watching!

Absolutely. And seemingly overlooked. Glad we could share a little appreciation for a Norwegian classic

One of my all-time favorites. It should be noted that the writing was 50/50 Vicotnik and Carl-Michael.

In so many ways its the ultimate black metal album, without need of anything else to compare it to.

He is. Not sure when, but he just wanted a little break.
