Honestly if show angry Colin can just be like how he was when he confronted Lord Featherington in season 2 that would be much appreciated, the way he defended Pen and the Featherington ladies name was amazing
The positive reviews of this book and gushing over the iconic scenes is why this book is my favorite. They remind me of why they were friends in the first place and how even when they see each other’s flaws, they love each other infinitely. They can argue, but make up when they cool down enough to communicate effectively. People say she just quits writing to edit his books, but I don’t see it that way. Yes, she is dine being Lady Whistledown, but she is not only working on his books. She is planning her novels as well. I know it took him a while, but love how supportive he is of her which leads to her being more supportive of him. It is so adorable. My other two favorites in this series are When he was wicked and it’s in his kiss. These two and romancing mr. Bridgerton seem to be the healthiest relationships in the series. And I love how all of them exhibit some facet of slow burn and friends to lovers, my favorite tropes.
Friends to lovers is one of my favourite romance tropes and I can't help but love how Polin executes it! The iconic moments in this book were definitely endearing and I can't wait to see what they do in the show! I read this because I was tired of waiting for the show 😫 I have notes: -I don’t want the proposal to happen as it did in the books. I do want the carriage scene but I feel like in the show, her confidence needs to be through the roof and I need her to say no to him. Make him grovel even further. - I don’t want any of the LW/Cressida thing to happen. I don’t think the show will reveal LW to the ton -Basically I want what Nic hinted at when she said “she loved him but he didn’t love her and then it flipped”

I think if they revealed LW to the ton it would be a PERFECT climax for this season. However, I agree. LW is kinda the main plot driver thus far and without that character, the show loses a lot of its stakes
you are right...In the series, he usually walked over and approached Pen on his own every time...I never noticed Violet telling him to ask her to dance...I hope they maintain the relationship between Lady Danbury and Pen this season :)

I had this thought recently in the tv series Cressida's mother is named Armentia. I was wondering if they would connect it to Benedict's story, maybe she is the step mother to Sophie. Cressida is a good description of Rosmund in the books. It would be interesting if that was the case, they have changed so much stuff.

Since Araminta is a character in Benedict's story, I am wondering if they will change that part up. Plus I hope they move on from the Fetheringtons, maybe keep Portia but with the other daughter getting married and possibly Penelope. It would be cool to include a new family.

I haven't been this hyped for a release in a while. Its giving me the nostalgia like waiting for the Harry Potter movies to come out, you know? But instead its all my spicy regency romance novels so I can truly embrace my unashamed romance loving booknerd era? Yes please. So glad to see someone else read and gush over the book the way I did. Honestly they can take or leave almost any of the scenes from the book and I will still be happy, but knowing they made a real effort this time around from how Luke and Nicola and the writers have been talking makes me soooo friggin happy. I mean I've gone and made Spotify playlists for this season. I haven't done something like that in years. I bought Bridgerton t-shirts! I am beyond myself with how much I have fully embraced this obsession.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED PENELOPE & COLIN’S LOVE STORY!!! After rewatching the official trailer soooo much along with many other Bridgerton fans…their love story has been a long awaited one!!! It’s gonna be sooo good. I hope we get sooo many book moments/nods to the book in season 3…our wallflower is finally gonna be with her Prince Charming 💛💙💐💖💕💖 I definitely need to listen the other books after finishing Benedict’s book. I’ve only listened to book 2 and 3 and they’re soooo good. I hope they continue to get better and better each time 💖💕💖

I do agree but want it to play out a bit differently in the show. Not sure how but just not leading to a big LW reveal. I think the show needs LW’s voice for a bit longer so I can’t see her being revealed to everyone. I am definitely here for Pen giving it back to Cressida though
We’re also working with a completely different timeline. Colin and Pen meet in the books right around the time season 1 would have taken place. I think in the show, we are to assume that they basically knew each other from the time they were children. I’m ok not getting a flashback especially with so much already going on. We have to keep in mind that we are supposed to have Fran meet John in her debut season so I do think that there will be other stories playing out which will take away Polin screen time. I would prefer more intimate scenes which emphasize the depth of their connection and love.

But yes, without the Duke & Daphne, we won't get the complete "Bridgertons Assemble!" moment but maybe it can still be as triumphant with the public declaration. But I don't think LW will be outed to the Ton, at least I hope not. Bridgerton TV series just won't be the same if the remaining seasons are missing LW. Shondaland loves their scandals.

The only thing I have to say is that yes it was a childish protest cuz he’s immature! However he never would have hurt her on purpose or maliciously because he really did care for her! He was always protecting her and sticking up for her. He had no idea she heard him so you can’t hate him as soon as she told him off as she rightly should have he immediately went over to apologize to her and beg her forgiveness. Complementing her and saying he wanted to win back her favor cuz she always lifted his spirits. Even back then he did like her and cared for her very much. He just needed to grow up and wake up. IMO
