Finishing the Super Elder Den without being able to craft Dust of Life and Ancient Potions is basically suicide. I did almost the whole thing without both and being able to craft them made everything SO much nicer.

@@ryanjohnson1124 there are no reasons, they just aren't. Plus they aren't that special, Zamtrios would've done Tetsucabra's job but with ice. Whereas Gammoth's Monstie kinda already serves as a mountain monstie you can use. This is just me trying to make sense from it but otherwise, there's no reason
i would add a recommendation for all those who are quite done with all of the above: use all your normal or rare expedition tickets to pile up some spare bottlecaps. I assume Kulve may need some Tickets just like the palamutes did. We might get a quest, that gets us some to start with but i will definitely farm the s*** out of Kulve and may need some precious bottle caps for that super rare kulve tickets (if they exist)
A tip for those new to high rank and perhaps struggling. Running away from a monster unlocks it's eggs in dens. So lets say you want to farm high rank seregios but can't beat him yet(because a punk ass Deviljho keeps invading!), running away from a high rank one will unlock it's eggs. This will also make the health bar visible for any monster you haven't beat yet. Also in high rank the rare high rank dens look exactly the same as low rank, gold, so you have to go up to each one and check what it is. This really tripped me up when I first got to high rank, the first 4-5 I checked were low rank so I assumed that high rank only had red and diamond dens and I missed out on a ton of high rank rare dens by ignoring the gold dens.
You can find them in the first zone of the Elder's Lair They're in the area with the Azure and Pink Raths They don't always spawn there though, so keep trying! Also, make sure you use a mega barrel bomb on the felyne otherwise it will flee immediately
You actually do not need to do the deviant questline in order to unlock the elder dragon quest line. All you need to do is to do the required quest to unlock it in the first place and then reach 9 star by defeating Silverwind. Once you turn in the Silverwind quest, the clerk will tell you to go see Lilia given you did the Zeramon ruins quest
I found 3 rare dens in a 6 hour time span. Those were my first three. Teostra out of the first. Velkhana out of the second and grimclaw Tigrex out of the third. For me they aren’t too bad to find. I was playing the game like half the 6 hours
you don't need to complete the deviants first, only the pink rathian and azure rathalos quests, i was tackling both deviants and elders at the same time
I've gotten all of the monsties just a few days ago, and I'm currently on Z7 of the Elder's Lair (taking some time to finish my Mizutsune's build and get some good Water weapons before I attempt it)
Fun fact about the super rare tickets, you can actually find them rarely in those blue chests that appear in expeditions, and as far as I've seen they're available in all rarities of expedition and they're far more comment than super rare dens in the overworld. In fact one time I joined an exposition with another guy and I actually found two chests with super rare tickets but this dude just slid past both of em on his lagiacrus cause he was gunning for the boss, so sad.
Just a fyi. You do not have to finish the deviant questline to get the elder dragon one. I'm doing them both at the same time. After you hunt your first deviant, the NPC will tell you to go talk to Lilia who will give you the elder dragon questline too. You have to finish the ruin quest though (You get it during the story).
Considering the fact that you can't level cap your public co op tickets and the fact that it auto launches the mission when someone joins means you can easily get screwed out of your ticket. So, best tip I can give, always save before you do any co op SR den. If you get paired with a scrub and they fail the quest, reload your save to get your ticket back. Until some changes are made to lobby setup, I won't make public tickets anymore unless I know or am playing with someone. When you do a SR den and a level 20 joins in and dies to an Altaroth... So dumb...
Got lucky and 3 super elder dens spawned back to back in the tundra so I got my Thunderlord that I’m personally working on along with my Rajang for the elders lair
I'm not sure about everyone else, but to farm Elders and Deviants, I just got to Z8 and Z9 in the Elder's Lair. That seems to be easiest for me anyway. I'm sure not everyone has gotten that far in the game though.
can we also find deviant dens there too or do we need to use the co op system for the eggs? i’m on z9 but i keep farming z8 to find eggs and deviant parts
@@miggywiggz No, the only way to get deviant eggs is through the multiplayer expeditions using the SR tickets. But you don't need to play online to do multiplayer. If you start a session and choose "Start Now" from the menu and you get paired with a NPC that helps out.
I’ve gotta ask, how do you even get to the elders lair? I’ve been playing for quite a bit, been in endgame for awhile and have finished 3 monsties builds and I’ve never ran into this area 😂. But I’m trying to level a Thunderlord Zinogre and it’s going a bit slow.
it's a main quest after beating the game. there is a marker on hacolo island that'll tell you where to go. if you've already been there then it'll be at the bottom of the last page on your fast travel list.
no idea what either of those are but that fight felt like it took forever. it was fun, but it's puts you to one health, and that just feels like stalling.
i will mention on the point of levels being uncertain, the special elders lair is still difficult when around level 90 with full bingo full nutriment parties. so i expect they will balance kulve in a similar fashion to needing strategy, but just pure leveling wont be enough
Yeah, most times I just look around and if I don't see blue, I immediately fast travel back to the same spot again and again till it spawns it works... eventually lol
There's so much I didn't even know about I thought deviance were just randomly out in the world I didn't know there was a subquest for them I was going to wait until I had like a strong team before I went and tackled all the quests I skipped
So do you guys think they are ever going to fix the element problem in the game? I think it would be sick to build a fire valkaina plus it would fix the lack of water monsters in game. Also at some point I really hope they add my favorite monster Vaal hazak to the game. It could have a AOE attack that gives everyone maizma that acts as defense down and give tick damage like poison that would be flipping awesome!!! Plus the Vaal hazak hammer looked so sick!
For the deviants I just went into elders liar zone 8 and farm them just switch area and back they respawn the elder dragons in zone 9 respawn too but I didn't check zone 5 the velkhana one maybe he respawn too it's an easy fight
Anyone have some good build suggestions for Dreadqueen and/or Nergigante? I heard of a build that functions as more of a synergy with your playet character for Dreadqueen
I have a tendency to absent mindedly grind for hours and hours when it comes to rpgs like this like I hit 40 hours of gameplay within the first 2.5 days (took vacation from work) and I’ve done this fairly regularly in post game,at least one off day is dedicated to some form of Monster Hunter every weekend lol. So there isn’t much I don’t have outside of a full *redacted* set. Speaking of *redacted* I have no idea how they are going to top that fight. Like Kulve is either going to be a push over for the hardcore players or an absolute nightmare for the casual players and I’m not sure which I would prefer. Like they KNOW there’s a lot of people out here with full max level min/maxed teams, but there’s also a lot of people who are just now getting to post game and due to their being no Ranking system there’s no way for them to really limit people that may not be strong enough. So idk, seems like putting *redacted* in the game before any planned expansions is going to make balancing difficulty of post *redacted* content awkward for at least a few months.
I'm 40 hours in and not even at the 5th area yet. I've got some fully bingo royal monsters though. I just soloed a green nargucuga as I'm in between areas so no battle buddy. I think I'm overleveled. I replaced my fully bingoed monobolos with a black diabolos so we'll see.
Rage mentions it in the "Can you change your monster's element?" video, but he deduced that since the color model changes were so inconsistent, and the scaling meant high level monsties couldn't keep up the requirements to keep them, it was pretty much pointless doing anything on purpose for a visual effect.
@@M00nSlippers no I get that I more meant the stuff like rajang gaining the yellow enraged state or when velcona gains her ice armor. I was mainly curious if any changes like an enraged smoking deviljho or a flame and dust covered teostra was possible?
I’ve completed the monstiepedia and also the low rank monsterpedia but there’s some monsters for the high rank monsterpedia that I just don’t know how to find, like I’m yet to see a high rank aptonoth and a lot of other weaker monsters like that
Tbh i stopped after 120h cause i have over 600 bottlecaps 5M zenny and have my team so theres not really much to do, all quest except for the pedia quest are done the lair is done
It’s just not that kind of game. The post game and pvp content from the first game and this one is primarily “because you think it’s fun”. Plus what risk would they use? Zenny? Bottle Caps? That just creates unnecessary toxicity. Give it time and just like with the first game, pretty soon the only pvp matches you’ll get will be with the people who take it VERY seriously and matches will generally end in one or two turns.
@@sephirian688 it's kind of disheartening that we have to essentially wait for it to die in order to play it. I'm a competitive person. I don't much like the idea that people are just willy-nilly jumping in and "having fun" because there is no real risk to losing. Especially because I'll still torture myself over a loss, regardless of game penalty, so it'd be nice for other people to at least somewhat understand the gravity of the situation.
I don't recall seeing straight damage boost talismans at all, honestly. But since those come on a lot of armor, it's probably more worthwhile to have something else anyway.
One nice thing about this game is that if you build them the same way, there's not really that big a difference between the weakest and strongest monsters of a given element and attack type. Thus you can be successful even when not using the "best" monsters, provided you build them well. Maybe not in PVP but I have no experience there.
@@RiceBoy1996 I did it around level 67-70ish. It's not harder just more health meaning longer fights. Almost every S8 fight took around 30 turns (Except Nerg, rajang finished him in around 19). Fatty took 58 turns
The gold digger herself is back again. I farmed her so much to get her kjar CB's, her entire moveset was burned into my head. I stopped playing once I got to the endgame because it was incredibly boring and underwhelming. Hopefully these new updates add better content to the base game.

I've tried doing that and it doesn't pop up, only after all the deviants were done did the quest pop up. I think there's something going on.

My Talisman is Breaker XL and Tenacity, works well with my Styg armor with The Eternal Hate SnS

i just need a Mega Barrel Bomb Fyline for 100% monster and 100% quests

Zones 8 and 9 of the Elders Lair are also a fantastic way to farm elder dragons as long as you have made it there

My favorite monstie on my team is Glavenus.
So far it is my strongest Monstie in my team.

The first kulve will be pretty easy. That's why we are getting a hard version later on.

If there is, I have not seen in yet. This is me 500 random charm buys in. I did get a crit xl-crit kin-xl charm though

You finish the side quest for them? That unlocks the multi-player player quest where you just hunt the elders, no need to find dens or use Sr tickets.

Skipping the egg does speed it up some, don't forget to use the expeditions as well, check what you want and set your monsties to find specific mat
@@meowier i only pick up an egg to get out of the den quicker. do you mean the monsties expeditions or the co-op expeditions?

I love how much skill is required to phase through monsters. So realistic IMO
I can't wait to get a Hellblade Glavenus.
The gold digger herself is back again. I farmed her so much to get her kjar CB's, her entire moveset was burned into my head. I stopped playing once I got to the endgame because it was incredibly boring and underwhelming. Hopefully these new updates add better content to the base game.
PvP is both fun and annoying.

Does anyone know how to get an egg for a dreadqueen rathian? I've been doing the Terga super rare co-op quests and the egg won't "drop".
It looks almost exactly like astalos, so you might be confusing them
Thats unlucky because dreadqueen only spawns in the volcano or terga sr dens.
@@StellarRetribution Astalos eggs don't drop in the main egg nest, but all other deviant eggs only drop in that nest, so why wouldn't Dreadqueen?
