14:00 "People aren't cargo" actually references a fairly well known deleted line from the third pirates film that reveal's Jack's origins. Becket brings up that he once hired Jack to deliver a cargo and Jack instead stole the whole ship and turned pirate. Jack immediately fires that back as the reason why he turned pirate. So this line basically becomes Quill acknowledging they agree on that before basically saying he's too angry to care because of the Gamora line. Buttons have been pressed.

10:12 for the record, i saw a VERSION of the guardians from a 2010 cartoon series (and in that, they had their matching jumpsuits from their third installment; and had Adam Warlock as already a part of their crew; series was "Earth's Mightiest Heroes"; that one that ended with heroes and villains all teaming up to fight Galactus for the final season and trap him in some place called "The Negative Zone".)
the epic where you meet the Guardians in that show was where they were tracking a guy named Michael Korvack, who had been experimented on by the Kree.
