I love the simple graphics. Runs on any potato, you can easily tell every object, no blur, no lense flares, no distractions. Simulation quality is way more important than looks
I can’t across this is in a blog. I do enjoy wrc generations etc, but some of these stages on the rbr are so realistic looking, not too much over the top with shiny graphics, the colour, saturation etc is perfect in a lot of the stages. Hands down to the developers who is maintaining this simulation
Honestly if you could just inject some very basic light simulation it would be absolutely perfect. We could also get away with replacing the billboard people with some basic meshes nowadays without any noticeable impact on performance, but other than that yeah.
One of the main thing about RBR is that it's some kind of "half-open sourced game". Whoever wants to contribute can find a way to add some extra flavor to that game.
that stage is incredible. what is it called? i need to give this a go sometime. honestly, the basic lighting and graphics, with excellent stage design, looks better graphics to me than wrc 23. its only the sound we are lacking. its still good, but dirt rally/ wrc 23 have better sound.
RBR tarmac physics are almost as good as on Assetto Corsa, which (imho) STILL has the best tarmac. Yes, I've played 'em all... rF2, AMS2, iRacing, whatever. Overall RBR is still on completely another level compared to DR2 and WRC. They're not even close.
how did you have that numeric pacenotes? i saw the voice mod someone made but i like this better. i could not get the numeric notes that come stock as it gives an cant copy error
Would it be possible to eventually mod EA WRC's physics? So that we can have both "sim" physics and great modern visuals/sound? Is there something particularly special about RBR that makes it easily modable?
Not RBR...but Modded RBR its a huge difference. A game that is keep modded for so many years is expected to be nice , old engine helpa that modd part. New gamea are not easy to mod and are not made for many years. If DR2.0 had the easy to mod capability then trust me it would be way better than ModdedRBR
@@user-ui9kq2xa5c Not RBR ... Modded RBR it's a big difference... U compare apples to oranges... A modded game with a game that can't be modded . Also not all mods are great. It is not advanced or realistic... it isn´t wrong, like it is in the Dirt Series/WRC. BTW: RBR would also long be dead - first there were the CZ-Guys that keeped Online-Tournaments alive and then there was Workerbee who entirley rewritten the Physics-Model to more modern standards. Your sarcasm is _wrong_ from start to end. He and _everybody_ saying that "RBR is the most realistic simulation out there" we play _modern_ RBR. We play with the NGP plugin, short for _Next Generation Physics,_ which is a system that _polishes, improves and extends_ the base, original physics engine to remove the incorrect things, and to add ultra accurate calculations that no other rally game has nor ever had. The last update to the NGP physics was made 5 days ago. this game is still amazing, shame there is no a RBR 2.0 for the new generation ...

Ngl, all RBR needs at this point is some global illumination so it stops looking weirdly dead.

Rbr is the Arma of racing games.
haha +1 arma forever
i though i'm gonna see a video essay but oh well
This might be an unpopular opinion but watching the replay at 1.25x speed is better than normal speed. It feels like watching real life rally in tv

I prefer (my custom) RBR sound than DR2.0 and WRC 23.
and RBR's FMOD is way better.
FMOD sounds great
Good you had your view over the title. :)
Have to say... modding comunity is incredible.

It's not even close to AC on tarmac.

RBR is For Simulation, EA WRC is For Game => Totally agree with that 😉
I will give it a go, it was hard to configuré my setup, and the graphics are beautiful but not today standard.
Ive also RBR NGP7 but im feeling im driving on ice with default setup.. how to achieve such tarmac grip?
Are you simulating a rally car with the seat in the middle of the car and the wheel to your left?
nice vid! how do you have working RBR HUD and hands on your replay? how do you do that? :)
check "show external" in camera plugin.
