The screws they sent you are for the resin cased G-Shock squares. The screws on the metal cased G-Shock squares like yours have a different thread pattern. Screws for plastic have coarser thread. Screws for metal have a fine thread, machine screw pattern. Also, I wouldn't open the watch up to switch buttons or screens. Right now, the actual watch is still intact. No need to compromise it with aftermarket parts. Very nice video though and your reactions are funny as hell.

I also got a GW-5000 and modified to a steel case with no problem at all. I had selected the 5000mm size. From the bracelet, I could tell it was not for GW-5000. On my GW 5000u doesnt fit kit witch si for GW M5610 , if you look on side of case of 5000 that piece between buttons is smaller than on 5610 (look at photos of these models side by side )
Did you order the right model? These kits are made for the regular 5600 and the metal case back models like the gmw5000. The ones that are made for your model should come with a red plastic spacer to keep it from moving around, just like in the metal g models. That case you have has the red bits taped in and it makes me wonder if it’s designed to fit the regular 5600s that don’t use that spacer, hence why they’re taped in to mimic that look.
If there is a red plastic spacer coming together with the case, then it is an old version. New version already modified the size which is totally fit and no need to have any spacer.
Just watching this vid, u know Bru, I reckon the std fitment on the titanium case screws stick out too - so the black included screws just mimic that. Nice vid man. You've increased the value and weight of your watch - it looks way nicer than standard. Plus, you are not setting out to fool anybody. Good choice ;)

Particularly when it is a metal-cased square to start with? By removing the resin bezel, you just took away a BIG portion of its ability to absorb shock. Didn't you? If the old ones actually came with the resin interior, but they've now adjusted the size to not need it, then I'd say the new ones are worse.
The g shock protection is from a rubber protector around the module INSIDE the case, so no the g shock protection is not taken away by removing the rubber.

I see several flaws in this particular kit, problem with the screws, some looseness with the watch case, but solved with the standard screws, but the biggest problem and fear that gives me ... the pins of the strap, do not give me any confidence.

Real model isn't printed on its Lazer etched, and all pieces are titanium. This turd kit feels nothing like the real watch. Can't compare a 150 dollar copy vs real deal
@jaerdalas nail test. Even on visual the color of metal was different comparing to citizen titanium watches. So i took nail. And scratched it. It scratched too easy and on top of nail i seen some metall remains. When i wiped it by my fingers. On my finger stayed aluminium powder like remains. Titanium do not do this

What I suspect, is the 5600 plastic case is just slightly larger compared to the metal 5000 case.

The DW5600 is on sale for $38 on Amazon right now. Good base for a mod kit.
The provided quick release spring bars suck. They're slightly shorter than the original ones and are kinda a pain to install.

I was able to get the screws to go into the case, I just needed to use a better screwdriver. Overall, I am happy with it.
