I just watched the substance from your review and it was great! I loved your observations that I wouldn’t have noticed.I might re watch your review there were so many layers to it. As a girl myself, I feel like both of those characters at times lol, sometimes a beautiful unstoppable baddie and sometimes a sloth 😂 such a good dark satire on how women can be valued or de valued and how gross Douchey guys can be, it’s pretty accurate put to extremes. Great recommendation 🔥
Really liked the movie too. One thing that strikes me the most about the storyline is that upon turning into Sue she just goes back to the exact same place that screw her over few days before... You can change everything about yourself but if you don't self reflect - you will remain doing same old mistakes just because they feel familiar. Also the switch 7 days per 7 days for each of the ladies reminds me of BPD. 7 days of manic episode vs 7 days of utter depression. Very multidimentional film. Also best one from that director so far
Totally! I thought the same that the Sue version would have gone back to her former self as a movie actress but no.. She just did (exactly) when you said she just goes back to the familiar of what felt comfortable and safe to her. Perhaps it was her wanting to go back to be rebooked in her old role, to somehow one up them to prove that she was special. Yet in doing so she only proves them to be right in their hiring and casting strategy that was to only hire the youngest and hottest. Which would just prove them right, then in tern contradicting herself. But yet again another complex layer of the film in her, only feeling that she wasn’t good enough and her internal validation and self worth only came from being liked and celebrated in the outside world.
I have a partner whose currently having a midlife crisis at 42. I might watch this today. Meanwhile, any advice on how to handle it would be most welcome as it's really draining to live with😐
I saw this and went and rented it on Amazon. I had a free 7 day trial so a win win. I always cancel those. I thought Demi did a good job. She really had to put herself into that physically. I loved all the 80's themed stuff. Everything in her apartment was 80's except her phone. Dennis Quaid is an asshole in real life so it was a convincing role to me. To me he is anyway. I always liked him as an actor back in the day. He sure let his teeth go...ugh. You can tell the lifelong smokers. I wanted to puke watching him eat the shrimp. The movie reminded me of the old Bruce Willis movie "Death becomes her". Same kind of story a little. You can tell that Demi has really done a lot to her face in real life. I'm old so I remember the 80's movies. It really is too bad she felt the need to do that to herself. I always liked her as a person. She's dealt with mental health issues and addiction and has come through it seemingly. I love Bruce Willis, too. I loved him in the 80's, too, when the TV show Moonlighting came out. He was so funny. They showed an egg being injected in the beginning and it immediately reminded me of homunculus, which in the end it turned out to be. I don't know if you ever saw those YT videos of people creating homunculus with an egg lol. The movie was kind of like old 70's horror in the end. I was thinking of "Carrie" when the blood was gushing out all over. It was good, though, to get my mind off the bs that's happening here for a while. It's becoming a bit too much to think about and worry about, so I watched movies last night. I watched Interstellar and Split. I'm a huge James McAvoy fan. Talk about just a normal, good dude! The movie had me laughing out loud a few times. I wish Demi would cut that long dark hair of hers. I think that's another way she's trying to hang on to youth. I think she'd actually look younger with a good, modern haircut. I grew up with a professional hair stylist mother, even though no one would know it looking at my own hair. I was just used to my mother commenting and staring at everyone's hair ha ha. I'm at the end of watching this and you mentioned death becomes her, so you thought of that, too. It would have been fun to work on this film as a creator. My kid loves to create horror movie stuff on herself. She's quite good at it. I remember walking into her room once and she was practicing giving stitches on grape skin. No lie 😂😂 She did it perfectly, too. She loved a tv show we had here called Face off. It was artists that created horror make up and prosthetics. She would watch that and make a list of things she needed and I'd take her to Michael's, a chain of stores that sold crafting goods, and she'd sit for hours creating things. The stuff she did on herself was so good!
Great video, glad to see your uploading again Unrelated question though Would a mars in pisces square Pluto in sagitarius person still be an aggressive person even if there mars was in pisces?
Nah the whole chart would need to be considered and also the angels in the houses, as different angles in the chart/placements influence different things, so I'd need to assess the chart as a whole to see if something like increased aggression would be more likely in that persons psychology.
I love your laugh like sooo much and you explaining this movie! It’s a classic and it’s pure gold! Perfect review!

The movie sort of reminded me of the old Tales From The Crypt episodes. Very nostalgic & entertaining!
Yes 1000% or a Black Mirror episode of sorts
Great video, glad to see your uploading again
