The look on Raquel’s face in the thumbnail… so good. I like to imagine her looking at these two guys with that face and just slightly shaking her head.
Suddenly Holland, MI and the New Holland Distillery seem like a great idea for a vacation destination. I need to know if there are any quilt shops of note in the area so I can convince my wife to road trip from Kansas City to Michigan to pick up an almost certainly sold out bottle of whiskey. Great video...keep up the good work.
When Templeton started back up, they implied that they were distilling their own in Templeton, IA. However, they were buying from MGP. That resulted in some negative publicity. They are now distilling some in their own facility. Templeton has released a bourbon recently, but I have not tried it.
I was in Puerto Rico a few months ago and drank alcoholic Capri Sun a lot. They are called Ralo Ready. Not sure if they distribute in the US but drinking out of those little pouches hits home. Loved it.
That was a good blind and it showcased both of you having very good palates. I was glad to see the Japanese whiskey as some of my family is into them but I haven’t tried any.
Great video 👍 she picked well with the variety and did pretty well price point wise (relative to all the choices available) Templeton Rye definitely the cheapest of the bunch and the Zeppelin most expensive
Those Zeppelin Bend picks are excellent! I have 2 from local stores and they impress me every time I get into them. Glad New Holland is on your radar. They're doing a cellar-raid special release tomorrow. Looking forward to waiting in line...again
I love that Zepelin Bend. Just came back from Holland, MI last night. Had a great tasting at the downtown brewpub. The 10 year Cask Strength is the best American Single Malt I have ever tasted.
I really don't think Horse Soldier is done by Brainbrew, they did the Arby's Smoked Bourbon They do have a blending experience that you can try. In the end, if you create something that you like, you can have your own personal custom blend bottled on the spot. If you come down this way, you should try it, it is pretty interesting and educational.

Would it be possible to have the price of the bottle listed with the bottle name as well? I know some of the stuff won’t be available, but would still be cool to know what it’s roughly worth if I am interested in searching for something. Thanks!
What day are you going to be at the fair? I'll take a day off and go to it just to meet you! That fairgrounds is LITERALLY on the other side of town from me. Yeah, the Templeton is MGP, but from my understanding theyre working on distilling their own juice.
Osmosis is the movement of water from an area of higher concentration to an area of lower concentration through a semipermeable membrane. Thanks Mr. Z (my biology teacher back in 1987).
Is there a link to where you can find any of these? Even when I search the names, I don’t necessarily see a bottle that has the same label as what you’re trying. Specially the zeppelin bend. Seems like, if you could manage it, you could partner with a seller where you get a kick back if people buy it through your link.
Hey guys. I’m very new to this. I had Woodford Reserve 90.4 proof last night and it was very alcohol/fume forward to me. I’ve had Benchmark 8 and Larceny that didn’t seem like this. Would it be because the bottle was brand new or does that make a difference?
Most likely - if you're drinking neat, let it it and rest 10-15 minutes before sipping and sniffing. I think the neck pour is a thing, so once you get WR to the shoulder or below it will open up nicely and not be as putrid to your nose going forward
For regular Woodford, yes, this can be typical. For a step up, try the Woodford Double Oaked. More flavorful and doesn't have the alcohol forwardness of the regular offering. At least for me.
I'm also pretty new. The previous comments are spot on. I recently started letting my neat pours open up for 10+ minutes in the glass. That ethenol nose burn really dissapates and lets the bouquet shine through. I like regular Woodford, but that Double Oaked Woodford is one of the few bottles I will have backups for so far. Everyone loves it.
Bought a Horse Soldier for the cause (veteran owned) and my wife thought the bottle would look good on the shelf. Will never purchase another. Really weak sauce with no redeeming bourbon flavors. They claim multiple accolades and awards at the spirit competitions in San Fran. Taste to me like the smell in Gran's old storage building.
I often hear you guys and reviewers use the term "nuttiness" or a peanut butter like flavor when describing some bourbons especially Heaven Hill products. Where does this characteristic come from?
I’m glad the zeppelin won the blind. It’s a great pour. Glad I could snag it for ya
Love the New Holland representation! How much is the MSRP on those single barrels? Can you get them at the distillery?
@@saml-m8637 $90 and no unfortunately. Meijer had it.
The look on Raquel’s face in the thumbnail… so good.
I like to imagine her looking at these two guys with that face and just slightly shaking her head.
"If that's Wild Turkey, I'm quitting the show." Kurt's version of Trenton's "I'll eat a shoe." 😂
Great Show. Love Raquel’s facial expression!!!
At least one of the kids knows what a hair brush is.
Dying….
Kurt & Trenton, Granny's Shed, Tattoo Shop & Furniture polish! You both always bring a smile...
Thanks gentleman on the video and for the smiles...
It's a pleasure turning on the TV and seeing a new episode. Cheers guys and lady
Favorite youtube channel.
Happy Friday
Props to Raquel. Hope she makes a guest appearance in the future. Cheers 🥃
I think the bourbon scented "Scratch N' Sniff" SLB T-shirts would be a big hit! 😆
Haha. Until you get pulled over for a busted tail light!
Thanks Raquel, great job!
Thank you guys for putting up the labels.
Love these random blinds!
I love this! Maybe you can convince Raquel to pick another blind for y’all 😃
"Something about the smell of a tattoo shop"....wth Trenton?! Your descriptions are always the best parts of the videos
Raquel did a nice job picking. It's always good to get a wide range of variety
Y’all need some shirt merchandise with a “to be honest” or “not gonna lie to ya” on the back, you slb drinks logo on the front.
Love you guys!
Or “but in a good way”
phenomenal job of picking varied whiskies. great mugshot !
Loved this... Hope to see more random blinds like these... Keep 'em comin'. Thanks.
Great video !! She did an amazing job!
Raquel - "What a hassle. Let me make sure they never ask me to do this again."
That was fun! Way to go Raquel 🥃
Having no theme, and such diverse juice made this a very interesting video. Bravo!!
Idea for a new line of bourbon....."Grammy's Shed".....at any rate, well played by Raquel!
10:36 A tattoo shop! Trenton, don't say that when I have whisky in my mouth! I nearly sprayed Wild Turkey 101 across the room! 🤣🤣🤣
This was great! I hope to see something like this again in the future.
Thumbs up to the young Lady for an excellent job !
Fantastic video! Great job by all! Love the production, the music in the background and end of video is always wonderful.
Raquel - Fantastic stuff!
When we were in Michigan on vacation I bought a bottle of New Holland Wheat Whiskey. It was wonderful. Tasted like apricots!
Was excellent so exciting very enjoyable to watch. Be cool to hear her taste perspectives.
10:45 - "Where is my dignity!? Could it be at the bottom of a Blanton's bottle!?"
It's been one of my future destinations for a year. Quick vacation hopefully in September.
They have incredible Bourbon too. Their Origin series is absolutely incredible
Should be a fun episode! Cheers everyone! Happy Friday!
Good use of the word osmosis! Take notes Trent 😂
When Templeton started back up, they implied that they were distilling their own in Templeton, IA. However, they were buying from MGP. That resulted in some negative publicity. They are now distilling some in their own facility. Templeton has released a bourbon recently, but I have not tried it.
Good to see fella Iowans! Been to the state fair one time. That was plenty for me
Great Video.. She did a great job, She needs to make a Cameo appearance and take a bow. She had you guys stumped for sure..
Love blind day! Thanks guys! Stellar as always 🎉
FYI- Middle West does in fact distill for Horse Soldier. This was confirmed by a tour guide when I was there. Cheers!
I was in Puerto Rico a few months ago and drank alcoholic Capri Sun a lot. They are called Ralo Ready. Not sure if they distribute in the US but drinking out of those little pouches hits home. Loved it.
Great video guys, again love the ideas coming out of SLB.
Trenton- Wild Turkeys are taken from a ground blind not a tree stand.....😂😂
My vote is for the Wild Turkey tattoo for your Dad Trent! 😂
Great job! One of my favorites
Rachel did a great job need to try the Japan product dads righ wild turkey is the Bomb
That was a good blind and it showcased both of you having very good palates. I was glad to see the Japanese whiskey as some of my family is into them but I haven’t tried any.
I like this type of blind.
I also like that the image of the bottle is being left up longer. No need to go back and try to see what it was.
Great video 👍 she picked well with the variety and did pretty well price point wise (relative to all the choices available) Templeton Rye definitely the cheapest of the bunch and the Zeppelin most expensive
Hoffman’s and SWMBHs do some amazing picks, and it’s no different with their Zeppelin Bend picks. Great stuff. Cheers 🥃
Raquel did an awesome job! Enjoyed this.blind a lot. As i live in Michigan i need to check out New Holland!
"Grammys shed" sounds like a great tee😅
Make a video when you get the SLB back pieces! 😂🤣
Great blind tasting
New Holland is SO GOOD. I'm local so it's a little easier for me to find than other people, but I've not had anything from them I didn't like
Bing! Love seeing noobs.
Horse Soldier does contract through Middlewest... But I heard they have recently or about to open their own distillery.🎉
New Holland has amazing products
I think she needs to do a blind and let us know what a noob likes. Cheers 🥃
Excellent blind! Got to see if the Zepplin is in our area. Haven’t seen it.
“I can drive I just can’t get pulled over”
Oh wonderful! We finally have a replacement for Trenton 😬
Then tattoo you guys on the horse!!!😂😂😂
I really don't think Horse Soldier is done by Brainbrew, they did the Arby's Smoked Bourbon
They do have a blending experience that you can try. In the end, if you create something that you like, you can have your own personal custom blend bottled on the spot. If you come down this way, you should try it, it is pretty interesting and educational.
I didn't realize Arby's even had a liquor license.
@@toymachine2328 they were contracted to make it... it sold out in like minutes
I have considered the turkey tracks for a tattoo - like on the new Jimmy Russell visitor center floor.
@SLB Drinks Hey guys, what about reviewing WhistlePig whiskeys? They seem to all be a premium price.
I haven’t had a drop in several months for health reasons, but I enjoy being here for entertainment purposes.
In Puerto Rico we have Gasolina that is like capri sun pouch with alcohol and I think is like 8% alcohol per volume
She hit one in a million shot with A and C.
Friday morning blinds!!
Nice job!

Thanks!
WOW only Templeton available in my area
The only thing that would improve this is if Raquel tasted them along with you. 😂🥃
This is such good fun
Can you review Calumet bourbon
The Horse Soldier story is awesome, the liquid lacks. Hoping they will find someone that can produce some good liquid for them
What day are you going to be at the fair? I'll take a day off and go to it just to meet you! That fairgrounds is LITERALLY on the other side of town from me.
Yeah, the Templeton is MGP, but from my understanding theyre working on distilling their own juice.
They released their own earlier this year. It's called Templeton Fortitude and it is a bourbon.
Happy Friday
hope you enjoy the Iowa State Fair.
SLB should do a Huber / Starlight Distillery review of their products.
We need the link to the tele biscuit cookies Trent!

You should get her in a video, if she hasn’t already
have u tried the JD green label? that;s bizarre
Blind day!!!
I wish I could take of taste of A. 90$ a bottle is beyond me. I just bought a Redbreast and I think it’s quite harsh.
do u guys collect the tops? Look up the story behind the Blanton;s
The, “blind leading the blind,” tasting.
A bit depressed. Video helping me feel a little better.
Where can I find the nutella cookies?
Ive seen them at Jewel Osco (albertsons) and Target
Walmart has them too
I’ll bet the labels will be pretty.

Hello my friends

Who stole her lips😂
