Rare Breed is the king of bourbon considering it's price and availability. Nothing else comes even close to what you get for that price, at least up here in the great white north!
i get Frey Ranch right at 50. ther emay be bias cause its right down teh road from me, but my goodness thats my fave right now. imo beats out EH taylor.
On taste alone, Rare Breed is the best of these. The other 4 are so close it’s tough to rank them but here’s my 2 - 5: Four Roses, Eagle Rare, Heaven Hill BiB, Knob Creek. Keep up the great work, TJ!
The youtube algorithm put your channel in my feed. Loving the content! Very enjoyable! Never been a huge fan of straight spirits, but figured Id try some recommendations from you. You make it look so good and enjoyable! Picked up a bottle of Buffalo Trace last night and I cant do it lol. Tastes like straight lighter fluid lol. Guess Ill never be a whiskey guy!
I know the Rare Breed pedigree is hard to compete with, but I just prefer Heaven Hill. It’s just good stuff. Nothing wrong with Rare Breed, just my taste.
I would have to lean towards Rare Breed as I've drunken it for decades. Maybe since the 80's and had some old bottles from then. It seems you could pick one of four of them and not be wrong. Knob being last but right there. Old Forester and OGD 114 should be here
The first bottle of rare breed i bought was hard to get through the first half of the bottle. I put it back on the shelf for a month and a half then took it down one night on a whim. WOW! What happened here??? It was delicious. Now its my favourite. Alwayshave a bottle on the shelf. Funny thing is, Wild turkey 101, straight bourbon and rye iĺl never buy again, i get citrus notes i don't enjoy but rare breed is my jam.
Having a limited palate is a terrible thing. I would buy a George Dickle barrel pick. And the only scotch I don’t like is heavy peated scotch. But rum gin vodka scotch bourbon rye finished are okay with me. I don’t drink flavored anything or Canadian style whiskey. But any blended barrel picks from you I’m sure would be great..
I know this is fairly late but I would really like to see how well Rare Breed blinds against some of the $100 and up bottles. It seems to win a LOT of blinds.
Just a tech heads up (and I could be wrong), I realize this is an older video but that microphone looks like it's most likely a side-address microphone. You'll want to speak into the side (usually indicated by a logo) and not the top.
Live here in South Carolina and can’t find any buffalo trace products…I may need to travel to Frankfort Ky. Not sure why it’s so hard to get my hands on any buffalo trace products here in SC.
Good Day Sir and Madame. I am very new to Bourbon 🥃. I was never into wine 🍷 so I don’t understand all the “taste” terms you’re using. Palette, Viscosity, Nose, Finish, etc. Would it be possible for you to go over them all? Thank you 🙏
I mean, palate is just your palate, meaning the taste preferences of your mouth, and viscosity is how thin or thick a liquid is. Motor oil numbers like 5w-20 refer to the viscosity of that particular oil. Neither of those are bourbon terms. Nose means 'on the nose'. How does it smell, what aromas do you detect, etc. Finish is basically the aftertaste. What do you taste after the initial wave of complex flavor behind to fade? When someone says mouth feel, that's a bourbon term that's more or less a synonym for viscosity. Hope this helps
it's so strange to hear the price differences and how he can get a "better price" here and there vs in Canada.... the price is set by the lcbo and there is literally no other option
I am salty dickel 8yr bourbon, MM46, and Early Time BiB weren't included and Rare Breed was. Its not even fair to put that turkey in there to slaughter all these other whiskeys 😂
You ruin the objectivity by guessing. Why not have Jill handle the list so you don’t know the bottles selected, have her pour them blind for you and you can be completely objective.
I like how when he knows every bottle in the blind test, brewzle knows everything but if given a random bourbon truly blind, he's kind of lost and scared to be wrong. I want 10 COMPLETELY random bourbons COMPLETELY blind. Chaos. Thats a test of a pallet and nose. Throw in an irish and scotch aged in bourbon barrels just to f@(k with him! Hahahahaha 😈😈😈😈😂
Walked into a local store in Middle TN last week and they had just put an entire case on the shelf at $49.99. Said supply was easing up and didn't feel the need to keep it behind the counter with the other stuff. I was pleasantly surprised as I walked out with two bottles.

Gotta have an Old Forester of your choice in this lineup.
I'm picking that 100 signature
Old forester 100 is my favorite daily drinker
@@That_dude_who_knows_some_stuff I prefer to side with the rye, but both are excellent options!
I agree. OF 1910 is
Wild turkey Rare Breed !
Amazing choice
I don’t drink bourbon but stumbled on this channel. Dude y’all need to host a talk show or something. I hope your channel continue to grow!
Redwood empire is now my go to for under $50.
Pipe Dream?
@@peterchampine9394 I have EG, Pipe dream and lost monarch. All are good. I'll have to side by side them a couple times to pick a favorite.
TJ, here in N. Atlanta, Rare Breed is now routinely in the low 50s. Found a few Belle Meade yesterday.
Damn you BREWZLE!!! You’ve got me drinking bourbon every night and now I’m smashing a bag of dot’s pretzels.
Every night probably not ideal for your health

my rank would be Eagle rare Four roses Rare breed Knob creek and heaven hill.

Owning a bottle of whiskey from the man that brought you and Jill into the world is freaking awesome….. subscribed!
Hard to beat benchmark single barrel at ~$25
As far as Irish Whiskey goes , I like the Red Breast 12 pretty good . I've not had the Cask Strength or any of the higher aged products .

You should start an infinity bottle with the leftovers.

Ive never seen Eagle Rare win a blind tasting, but is the only one with a big tater value.
1. RB
2. EAGLE
3. Knob
4. Four 🌹
5 HH
You guys are freaking awesome! Man i'd love a bottle of some quality bourbon right now.
Blanton's single barrel ranges from $179.99- $219.99 in Louisiana
Still Austin is for sale all over now. I am in AZ and its $49.99 for the cask at my Total Wine
Fantastic at 2yrs. Very excited to see how Nancy develops the brand!
I would have probably put the knob creek last. Too woody for my taste. My no. 1 probably the OF, 2nd Eagle Rare, RB, then, HHBOB

You talk about your desire to seek out smaller distilleries, and I think you need to include a bottle or two in your blind tastings
My Walmart has that heaven hill for 41.99
Since it comes up in the video - what's the best thing to do with a whiskey that has oxidized? Make cherry bounce?
Thanks for the great video.
Just got a Heaven Hill for $49, used to be 39.

I'll have to keep an eye out for this gumdrop land.....lived here my whole life and never heard of it lol
Last week live meet up was great.
Can't beat ER.
Review 7 year knobs creek rye
Really good isn’t it?!
Four Roses single barrel is over $50, the bottle I just bought cost me $54 and some change
Get yourself some famous grouse and then famous black grouse cheap and a good entry. Scotch
Jill is awesome

Are you going to visit southern distilling where southern star is distilled
Dang your lucky, when I’m even able to find it here in Little Rock Eagle Rare is $90-$150 a bottle. Allocated bottles here are priced stupid
Eagle Rare is $89.99 plus tax in Jonesboro, Louisiana "/

@@Rlmorrison74 thank you Sir! It did!
i want the best under 20 video. Also best in a plastic bottle.
How has Mrs. Brewzle gone this long without knowing how to cypher proof by knowing the alcohol percentage?
Cheapest I can get ER near me is $85 😅
Eagle Rare in San Antonio is $75…
I'm looking for a recommendation for a bottle under 30
Old forester 100, old grand dad 100, jack Daniel’s bonded, Evan Williams bottled in bond
it's so strange to hear the price differences and how he can get a "better price" here and there vs in Canada.... the price is set by the lcbo and there is literally no other option
Where in THEE HELL do you find it less than $80 anywhere ever? Kentucky to Michigan I’ve never seen it under 75
I am salty dickel 8yr bourbon, MM46, and Early Time BiB weren't included and Rare Breed was. Its not even fair to put that turkey in there to slaughter all these other whiskeys 😂
Eagle rare is not msrp at 30 they sell it at Buffalo trace for 43$
Florida chomos or California chomos? Hmmm. That’s a tough one
On the age question my reply would be closer to 40 than 30... 48 is closer to 40 than 30 right 😂

ER for $50? Let me know where and ill be there. Cheapest I have seen anywhere is $75
I saw a case of it in Atlanta on that bourbon hunt for $50. Bought one last week in Orlando for right above $50.
Just bought two bottles here in the Toronto area for $64.95 Canadian…..so like $48-50 USD
45 in Louisville
I poo
No way me too

Eagle Rare is not $50 normally where you can find it most places now. Silly to include them in this list. They blow any $50 bourbon out of the water.
I got mine for $40. If you are paying more you are just a cringe tater

@@Paulie771 got it at MSRP 34.99$ in northern michigan. And we never get anything in northern michigan.
Nah. There's half a dozen bottles I lean toward depending on the day.
😂😂😂 Your not finding any of those for under 50 bucks around here... Knob Creek is the only exception.
