These men speak as the serpent. Telling you, you can sin and still go to heaven. These are the wolves the Lord warned about, the false teachers Peter and Jude warned about. Flee and seek the Lord while you still can and while the Lord can still be found while He is near.
I love the back and forth between MacArthur and Sproul. Wish I’d have found this before Sproul went home I find such comfort in the Sovereignty of God. If He weren’t Sovereign my life would make no sense. Blessings💝

Thank the Lord for these teachers, one of the best Q&As I've watched.
Concerning reincarnation, I once asked someone who believed in it, "The population of the world is always growing. So where do the 'new souls' come from?" She had not thought that out, which is typical of young Americans that think they believe in Eastern mysticism. They have not really examined it.
They made a statement in one of the sessions that we tell the story of Jesus, we show love and acceptance and we leave, the rest is God's work. We prepare ourselves for war with prayer and walking in humility with God, gaining knowledge, deliver the message God wants us to and leave God to win the victory. We can talk and talk but I will never forget the first time God touched my heart letting me know he was there and he would make my world new. Without belief we cannot walk in faith. We believe we walk in that belief and the Holy Spirit walks with us, teaching, reproving, and putting us on the right track so we learn concept on concept, line by line.
... Wonderful sessions. I loved R.C.Sprouls answer that it is God that giveth and God that takes it away. Look to Job. His 10 children he worried about Soo much. I'd prefer God controls everything. No matter what He does....l love Him Dearly and adore Him. Let me never blame God...but Thank Him for everything he has ever given me. 📜✝️💕
If we’re gonna bring up Job can we acknowledge the fact that it was NOT God who did that to him. This example and story of Job is the perfect way to explain causing vs allowing something to happen. God did not cause or will or control those horribly events at all. Satan made 2 different challenges all to try to make a point that mankind would not be faithful. Job was a prosperous and respected man, loved and known as a faithful man of integrity. God took note of that, but so did Satan. Satan accused that the only reason that Job was so faithful was because he had been blessed and protected by God. (Job 1:9-11) He then raised a challenge by asking the question -- would he still remain faithful if he no longer experienced all the blessings he had received. God then ALLOWED Satan to take away the blessings he had enjoyed (Job 1:12-19) But this did not result in Satan winning his challenge, and at (Job 1:22) we see that Job remained faithful despite suffering this evil that had come upon him BY who?-- Satan. At (Job 2:3-5) we see he was still faithful to God and so Satan once again raised a challenge, that Job was only faithful because of Gods protection of him. Notably God did not cause the suffering himself*** but he ALLOWED Satan to afflict him, and the limit he gave was that he was not to take his life. (Job 2:6) At (Job 2:10) we see that again despite this new horrible affliction and even his wife telling him to “Curse God and die”, he remained faithful. Many chapters later after his exchanges with those who came to see him at (Job 27:3-6) we see Jobs determination to once again, REMAIN FAITHFUL or to “keep his integrity”. Although he still needed some learning and readjustment to his thinking, which Elihu helped provide before God also spoke to him, he remained faithful and righteous. At (Job 42:12-17) we see that when God stepped in, he removed and undid the suffering Job had experienced, and even doubled all that he had had before.
And as far as “control” of things goes 1 John 5:19 it is not God who controls the world currently, rather it is “the wicked one”. Why? Revelation 12:12 and because he is angry 1 Peter 5:8. And James 1:13- we are not enduring tests or trials from God either. A loving God would not ever act unjustly or wickedly by TAKING a child’s life or something similar. For the ones who have to endure that loss or for those victims of crimes or accidents he has promised a resurrection so that we may see then again. And also Daniel 2:44; and Matthew 6:9,10 when his kingdom does come and change things for the better then he will finally be in control of everything. Christ even after ruling for a short time 1 Corinthians 16:24-28 will turn the kingdom back over to his father. And the future blessings that are promised from our loving god according to his original purpose and will for mankind will take place - Isaiah 45:18 - Psalms 37:9-11,20,29- Proverbs 2:21 -Matthew 5:5 - Revelation 21:3,4- Isaiah 2:3,4; 11:6-9; 35:5,6,9; 65:17, 19-25
@@spencer8388Have you read Isaiah 46:10-11? God Decree's whatever he desires according to the counsel of his own will. Ephesians 1:11. Also referring to Job...Who pointed out Job to Satan? God did. He certainly wasn't just making conversation. He knew what Job would do. You said "A loving God wouldn't take a child's life." Have you read what happened to King David's child? As punishment? Was the child innocent? 1 John 5:19 is talking about the unsaved world...not for believers. You mentioned 1 Corninthians 16:24-28...it ends at verse 24. God is more in control than you think. God Bless...📖💥
God gave us a great verse to rest our inquiry concerning our inadequacy to grasp the concept of evil. 2 Thessalonians 2:7 the mystery of iniquity. This verse settled my soul. Paul did not know, we cannot. God knows best. May this help anyone, by his mercy and grace.
2 Thessalonians 2:7 “mystery of iniquity / or lawlessness” as some translations say was referring to the apostasy that was beginning and growing and going to grow even more in the congregation after the apostles or “one acting as a restraint” or “the one who lets” is “taken away” and the apostasy flourishes. It is not about evil and suffering over all in the world. We CAN know and do know because the answers are there in scripture. The biggest and main cause of evil and suffering in the world: Revelation 12:7-9 Satan and his demons were thrown out of heaven down to the vicinity of the earth and therefore - 1 John 5:19- “the whole world lieth in wickedness” - KJV “the whole world lieth in the evil one” - ASV “the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one” - NWT “The whole world in the wicked one is lying”- Rotherham Version 1 Peter 5:8- “ the devil is roaming about to devour someone” and why? Revelation 12:12- he’s angry and has a short time before he is destroyed therefore wanting to disrupt as many and their relationship with God as he can. Other reasons for evil/ suffering? Man trying to rule themselves instead of having and being under Gods kingdom and also the injustices and their wickedness and attitudes . - Ecclesiastes 8:9; and 2 Timothy 3:1-5 Our own sinfulness and imperfections at times making wrong decisions and dealing with the consequences of them - Galatians 6:7,8 and Proverbs 22:8 Since we all live in a fallen state and an imperfect world there is also just the strifes of life that we cannot always avoid or protect from and accidents that happen - Ecclesiastes 9:11,12; and Luke 13:4
Re the mother who has lost a child, I suggest the great comfort of the letters of Rev Samuel Rutherford. A single quote can't do this justice but here's a small attempt... "Let him be Christ's and yours betwixt you; but let Christ be the lender, and you the borrower-not an owner"
26:03 - Agree completely! Slam-dunking Reformed theology, especially on a new Christian, can lead them to continually over analyze themselves and cause them to "freeze" in fear.
John MacArthur’s and R C Sproul’s words about today’s prophets and modern prophesy are particularly relevant in this age. The Bible has been written, the word given.
It’s amazing how terrible and serious are the questions, the sense of humor of this godly men is so strong, they don’t feel intimidated neither threatened by such complex issues, certainly they have wisdom and I would like to add that if you lack wisdom ask God to give it to you and He will give you wisdom . The Bible says so
I am glad you said, you watched the session again. And indeed, if you were paying attention to McCarther, then you somehow missed the point that one has to come to the knowledge of who he or she is, and from that point, see God for who he is, and it is when you try to take a look at the two and seeing the gap between the two, then is is then, that you would come close to apprehending this mystery. Our minds cannot comprehend the bulk of this stuff; trying a rationale, clouds it further!
+Truth Seeker No, one is a troll who continues to misunderstand the issues and instead continues to confuse and annoy by posting ridiculous comments on every Calvinistic video he can find, often on as many comments he can.
Starting at the question presented at 42:59: I lost my faith in God because I prayed as a saved Christian and as a child, that God would make my own supposedly "saved Christian" parent stop raping me for years. Since it didn't stop until I left home, it was nearly impossible not just to "believe in God" ... but to believe that God was not some kind of a sadist, who got His kicks by allowing such heinous crimes to exist. I think when dealing with these kinds of questions, what Dr. MacArthur answers in saying it is "myopic" is totally appropriate from a mature viewpoint. However, that is not entirely possible to see when a child. I did not understand that God gave us free will and in the case of my abusive parent, his free will choice was to do heinous evil, and that God would help me heal, but could not force my abusive parent to stop - UNTIL I had some real age on me. (Also had some good therapy which took forever to find but was worth it as it was sound.) It's hard to get out of the mindset that settles in while one is still a child and then cemented in place by extreme trauma. As a child, everything revolves around you and that is age appropriate. It might be a bit harsh and won't help to tell someone "too bad, you're not the only person who has had evil done to you" or "you're making excuses". I don't know if Dr. MacArthur understands fully what kind of spiritual damage is done. When you tell that person that they must focus on the evil in themselves (which is often minuscule, especially in a young adult, in comparison to what was done to them) it feeds into what the abuser told them: that it's all their fault and they are to blame and therefore God does not even have compassion for them. I know this vicious cycle of faulty thinking because I struggled with it for years myself. I would hope that a Pastor facing this kind of backstory especially in a young adult would be sending a person with those kinds of serious issues to therapy to deal with them and encourage them to hang on to their faith and ask God to go with them on their healing journey. Let them know that God loves them IN SPITE of what was done to them. One scripture that would help tremendously is the one straight from our Lord Jesus' mouth "it is not what enters the body that defiles a man" and stop right there. Tell that hurting wounded Christian that what was done to them is not defiling them. If they feel like it is, they may need some outside help. But again, encourage them not to give up on God, but rather to see what He has to say in the Bible about what sorts of things should happen to those who causes one of "these little ones who believe in me to stumble". You know, rope around the neck with a millstone tied to it and thrown into the depths of the sea? Jesus Christ Himself takes very seriously ALL manner of blocks to Him put up by wicked people who have authority over others. Some of us are more broken than others. No argument that we are all broken, all fallen, all sinners. And at 57 years old, I can now see my sin clearly as being far more important to focus on: but only because I had to rid myself of Satan's lies told me by my supposed "Christian" parent who abused me before I could move on. Just sharing a long, hard, life long journey. I wish that I had NOT been told exactly what Dr. MacArthur said. I was told that and walked away from Christianity, the Bible and God. What brought me back was reading the Bible through all alone and discovering that GOD CARES. About that, about me, and about sin. I'm sorry it has to be such a misunderstood subject, and apologies for the long post, but this is vital - at least to me and the young man in the question the gentleman posed to Dr. MacArthur.
Thank you for sharing your story. I have a similar story like you. My ex-girlfriend was physical abuse by her father and sexually abuse by other. She does not believe in God because her childhood has experienced so much suffering although grew up in Catholic church. I told her Gospel and she seems she knew the bible but she did not believed in it and unfortunately passed away a couple months ago as Atheist. For now, I'm telling her sister about Gospel but she denied as well. My question is how can i convince Atheist friends to the existence of God and saved eternal life through Jesus Christ.
James Sa it’s not our job to convince people to be Christian. We clearly present the Gospel in humility. God has to be the one to change their heart of stone into a heart of flesh. Good for you for sharing the truth to people you love.
Actually the more you know the Holy Bible the more supernatural it is, the more you know its history the bigger it gets. The Bible is not just one big book by one author written in one time period or year. The Holy Bible is inspired by God, written by men who were close to God. There are 66 different books and letters that make up the Bible. With some 40+ authors. Who lived in different time periods. From years apart to 200+ between authors. All authors scripture flows as one. That's one of the biggest miracles. If you read the history of Israel from long ago in both the Holy Bible and history, you will be amazed that it even survived, that the authors flowed like s river in theil doctrine. For example, I write a book that technology is the best thing in the world an American book. 200 years later America is devastated, technology has failed and hurt the human race, so a new author writes the horrors and failures of technology of America. So both books being American technology, we put them together and make them as one. We see contradictions from the first to the second. But this problem did not happen with the Bible. Now Imagine the people of the Bible were invaded by real historical nations over and over again during different periods of history and yet. All authors agree on the same God and same doctrine and salvation. Then you got the Archaeology, the Psychological and historical combinations and the eyewitness accounts. But the most important thing out of all this is, that you see the Holy Bible as the word of God. You must read it to believe it, from the book itself, with understanding. For everyone can read. Google: John 1 Then click on the Biblegateway.org link in the search and start reading. John 10:10 Jesus: "The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. I have come to give life and give it abundantly." John 4:16 " I am the way, and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" May God Bless all who read this and find the truth :)
I like MacArthur but he is wrong about intelligent design. ID is not a haven for people that don’t want to believe the biblical account. Many are young earth creationists. Further, their work on design has advanced exponentially and brings a very intuitive argument and mathematical probabilities to the discussion of origins that, while not “proving” creation, points to it beyond a reasonable doubt. ID is not a haven for scientists that are afraid to say they believe in creation or have no convictions about the biblical account. His comments are anachronistic. Many ID scientists are supporting the biblical idea that “His invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.” They are bringing evidence supporting Paul’s assertion using scientific and mathematical tools. They are causing Godless philosophies to fall by making a joke of evolutionary arguments.
You just know, you can't explain faith in God it's way beyond the human brain. It's in the trials tribulations persecution storms victories pain tears doubt elation joy anger all of human emotions and experiences highs lows in-between, The Holy Spirit indwells within a true believer in Christ and your own ego becomes like a must fading away and Christ's nature becomes more and more. You think, live and long for His will and love God with a fervent love, no words can begin to describe, it's like having a heart transplant. You are born again and this makes you feel strange to this world because yes we were made to glorify God, love Him, get to know Him and be with Him forever.
It is so he can put his full glory on display. God's sovereign desire is to show all his perfect and glorious attributes What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory- Romans 9:22-23 ESV
So who's the help? How do you know you're being helped? How would you know if you were not being helped? To know that one is /is not being helped, must one employ one's nervous system? Has this been tested? What form does the help arrive in?
I'm wholeheartedly disappointed with John MacArthur's discourse about "creation science." It is FAR more involved than he gives it credit for being, and, since I respect the man so much, I'm a bit hurt by this, saddened.
Duncan was incorrect at 12:30 minutes. He referred to the 5th chapter of 2 Timothy. There is only 4 chapters. I would like to know where he was trying to reference his answer. please and thanks!
James Choi, I believe he is referencing 1 Timothy 5:17-21, specifically verse 18 where Paul says “For scripture says, “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain,” [Deut. 25:4] and “The worker deserves his wages” [Luke 10:7].” Perhaps he misheard the guy with the question or simply forgot to add “chapter 5 of 1st Timothy.” Hope this helps!
Free will. He has an everlasting kingdom to fill with servants. He didn't want robots He wanted freely given servants. Heirs. For that matter this whole ordeal was a battle for man's soul. God vs Satan's systems
Why is Ligonier labeling these as live broadcasts then when you start watching them the red ribbon attached that says live goes away? These are old broadcasts. I like them but that gives the wrong impression.
15:30ish seemed like a shot at ray comfort, the 10 commandments are simply used to show the person they’re a sinner and not a good person like they think they are…how else can you show someone you never met that they need a savior if you first don’t use the law to show that they’re in danger?
So having made my case about what astronomers believe to be most likely to be true, in this case Genesis account from not christian, I believe then that would by law rule out other religions account for creation that doesn't agree with the Genesis account. The next thing we can do after that is line-up historical transcripts of other religions to see if they are reliably true. Meaning do all transcripts say the same thing or do they vary.
Law of thermodynamics state that all energy is slowly dying. Which means the universe is not infinite. It had a starting point. Is it not presumed that there must be a beginning? The only thing that can create something from nothing would be an ID. Most astronomers agree that there was some sort of super natural force that got the universe going. Just take some time and read what Robert Jastow has to say who sits in Edwin's Hubble's chair now at Mt. Wilson
Any argument you make saying that it's possible would be asserting that a person can create something from nothing. That they are able to come up with an idea about something that has never been. How does a finite mind believe in the infinite without somewhere along the way have some sort of reference from something else that there is possibility that something exists outside of our natural law?
The reason I commented to start with was that McA.'s quote was ironically true. Some folks aren't moved by recitation of verses. As for "proving God doesn't exist/disproving scripture", how would you disprove non-Christian scripture? Do you know that Chukchi creation stories are not true? If so, how?
So, do you believe these stories from the Hindu and the other one you cited? and if u find the validation of Scripture by Scripture too secular for u, then what means do you have that is OK for you and tell me why I should take your own way rather than the Word of God! Thank u. Help me out!
Darby is the one responsible for the despensation. By far his view on the Bible is not outside the text it doesn't impose ideas that aren't found in the text. I miss sproul
“Now we see how the astronomical evidence leads to a biblical view of the origin of the world. The details differ, but the essential elements in the astronomical and biblical accounts of Genesis are the same: the chain of events leading to man commenced suddenly and sharply at a definite moment in time, in a flash of light and energy.” He goes on to say they have painted themselves into a corner because the proven that earth began abruptly in a act of creation.
Do you have anything with clear understanding to say about the meaning of all capital words in the Bible vs normal words with the understanding of adding the book will curses you
"no further revelations", as in the canon is complete? Uh, no..... John wanted to write down what the thunders sayed but was told to not do it because their meaning was for a later time. Anyone know what the thunderings spoke?
It sounds to me like you're saying a sentient being in an apparently stable/predictable state of affairs can't imagine an alternate state of affairs, without some alternate state actually existing? How do you support this claim?
16:50. I disagree. It seems to me that Lucifer was also born with free will. Meaning he had the choice to turn againts God. when there is conscious creation with free will, i feel ultimately SOMEONE SOMEWHERE will decide to do evil.
As Christians, we can demonstrate the validity of Scripture, not by what we believe, but the Scriptures actually validate each other. It's funny u r asking me to disprove non-scriptural text. So if u thik non-scripture is true, then why do you have problem with Christian Scripture? & what do you mean by "Chukchi ?" if you mean church, then how do you know it's not true? What prove do u have? I wish u think before writing!
Well i never thought someone would ask me weather God had to use something to create the universe, God is obviously omnipotent, and only he could make something out of Nothing, but he is something. obviously he didn't have to use something if he is omnipotent. I just place the point that you cannot have nothing create nothing, if indeed nothing is there. God is there. if we are going to debate that we don't know what created the Universe, that gives me more confidence in my Bible..
Last thing Jastow, who by the way is agonistic and o founder of NASA Goddard Institute of space studies. ". And they have found that all this happened as a product of forces they cannot hope to discover…. That there are what I or anyone would call supernatural forces at work is now, I think, a scientifically proven fact.” I think there is little denying that a supernatural act occurred to at the beginning of the earth. Though it can't ever be proven by what.
16:20- This question is able to be answered from the Bible just as any and every question we have. God did not create nor will any evil EVER. -Deuteronomy 32:4; Psalms 33:5; Job 34:10,12. He is perfect and incapable of doing something imperfectly or wrongly or causing something bad or wrong to happen. - James 1:13 He loves justice. Satan was at one time an angelic son of god, brother of Christ , etc who just like all of Gods sentient creation have free will. God gave all the ability to feel just as he does, “being made in his image”. However something like his righteous jealousy for true and pure worship only for him, was replicated by Satan wrongly. That fallen angel wanted the worship and praise that belonged to God. He CHOSE to begin to do evil and to disrupt things. He became an enemy or resister of God. He also became a liar and slanderer and murderer when he chose to intervene at the garden of Eden, thus becoming Satan. Eventually Jesus threw him and his demons out of heaven and “down to the vicinity of the earth” as is told in Revelation. Some evil, or suffering is a result of others, and some form of injustice- Ecclesiastes 8:9; 2 Timothy 3:1-5 Some is caused by our own doing since we are imperfect and make mistakes - Galatians 6:7,8; Proverbs 22:8 Some is just part of this life currently, or an accident because we live in an imperfect fallen state, and an ever changing world around us and we cannot protect from or account for all things in life.- Ecclesiastes 9:11,12; Luke 13:4 Lastly, some evil is caused by Gods enemy and our enemy who hates us, Satan who controls the world around us, and knows he has a short time left therefore wanting to take as many of us with him and turn us away from God. 1 Peter 5:8; 1 John 5:19; Revelation 12:12
@@coloradostrong What is that scripture talking about though? The context in these verses is that he is prophesying when Cyrus the Persian would come and destroy Babylon. - This is about God’s righteous judgement and acting against a wicked pagan nation- not him saying that he causes all evil or bad things to happen.
If God's purpose for creation was to have communion with something, why not just create us to live with him from the get-go, and avoid all the conflict of choice and rejection?
You and Cody Russell have both made statements which you don't know to be true. Cody's statement pre-supposes all of the key elements of the Bible. Why would I make such pre-suppositions? Why should I be moved by these statements?
My problem with those who try to challenge the validity of the scriptures or the existence of God is the fact that these folks don'thave anything to prove that He doesn't exist nor disprove the Scriptures! So, honestly, what are you really arguing about! I am at a loss here, please, help me out!
4:38 "the metaphysical assumption of all science is that the universe is knowable." Is this correct? Surely the objective of science is a level of understanding which is *always improving*. To paraphrase Robert M. Price, truth is like the North Star. You can use it as a guide, a distant reference point, etc. But you shouldn't assume you're ever going to get in your boat and actually sail to the North Star. Similarly, perfect truth may never be obtained, but we can see that our understanding of the world has improved, particularly over the last few centuries. On the other hand, I can sort of see what MacArthur is saying. In a way it's a category error to ask scientific questions about God.
drumrnva McArthur was simply pointing out that a scientist assumes that he can gain knowledge. Why else would he spend vast amounts of time and resources on his studies?
"you know you're a christian not by the perfection of your life but by the direction of your life" - thanks doc MacArther.
🙂🙂
That's so encouraging and beautiful and True. Thank you and God bless all of you.

No one preaches the Word like He does. MacArthur is our modern-day Prince of Preacher!
So wise. So humble. So dedicated. This is what the heart craves in such an increasingly inauthentic and cruel world…..

I think that’s a great point!

They made a statement in one of the sessions that we tell the story of Jesus, we show love and acceptance and we leave, the rest is God's work. We prepare ourselves for war with prayer and walking in humility with God, gaining knowledge, deliver the message God wants us to and leave God to win the victory.
(Job 1:9-11)
He then raised a challenge by asking the question -- would he still remain faithful if he no longer experienced all the blessings he had received.
(Job 2:6)
At (Job 2:10) we see that again despite this new horrible affliction and even his wife telling him to “Curse God and die”, he remained faithful.

The biggest and main cause of evil and suffering in the world:
Revelation 12:7-9 Satan and his demons were thrown out of heaven down to the vicinity of the earth and therefore - 1 John 5:19- “the whole world lieth in wickedness” - KJV
“the whole world lieth in the evil one” - ASV
“the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one” - NWT
“The whole world in the wicked one is lying”- Rotherham Version
1 Peter 5:8- “ the devil is roaming about to devour someone” and why? Revelation 12:12- he’s angry and has a short time before he is destroyed therefore wanting to disrupt as many and their relationship with God as he can.
Other reasons for evil/ suffering?
Man trying to rule themselves instead of having and being under Gods kingdom and also the injustices and their wickedness and attitudes . - Ecclesiastes 8:9; and 2 Timothy 3:1-5
Our own sinfulness and imperfections at times making wrong decisions and dealing with the consequences of them - Galatians 6:7,8 and Proverbs 22:8
Since we all live in a fallen state and an imperfect world there is also just the strifes of life that we cannot always avoid or protect from and accidents that happen - Ecclesiastes 9:11,12; and Luke 13:4

EXCELLENT DISCUSSIONS!!!!! I LOVE IT!
MacArthur is one of the wisest reformed theologians I've ever seen personally. He is so convincing (biblically)
I think he is a great man of God and teacher BUT I was a little disappointed that he called the apostles 'Blockheads'....
Been There It is true, though, some of them were foolish. They stooped to lows such as asking Jesus which one of them were the best. lol...
True, just wish he were covenantal.
I would love to hear Macarthur and Gino Jennings debate.
@@jayg7005 Gino Jennings is a false apostle. He's wrong on so many fronts.

How amazing is this

John MacArthur’s and R C Sproul’s words about today’s prophets and modern prophesy are particularly relevant in this age. The Bible has been written, the word given.
It’s amazing how terrible and serious are the questions, the sense of humor of this godly men is so strong, they don’t feel intimidated neither threatened by such complex issues, certainly they have wisdom and I would like to add that if you lack wisdom ask God to give it to you and He will give you wisdom . The Bible says so
MacArthur is nailing these questions!
“Not what was done to me, but what I am???” 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Evil wasn't Satan's problem, pride was.
God bless you
I am glad you said, you watched the session again.
Very good. Lots of good teaching from these brothers. Thank you.

Love Jmac’s answer to the question “why is He so mad?”
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
MacArthur.
Thank you for taking the time to reply. Your words gave me a much needed insight on how to directly approach a hurting person.
Thank you for commenting here, I now have a better insight on how to possibly help a hurting person.God bless you.
James Sa you have to pray on their behalf and hope that the Holy Spirit touches them.
Wonderful stuff! Thank you.
The best sermons I ever listened to.
Would really enjoy a debate with these gentlemen and Dr. Hugh Ross from "Reason to Believe " Ministries.

What a great answer to end with.
I think the lady at 36:40 was trying to ask why there are things that exist in the world that would make God angry if He is sovereign.
And I think R.C then answered the question after
Good questions..excelent answers.
36:36 is a great questions! God is sovereign, so why does he decree things that are sinful and make him angry?
It is so he can put his full glory on display. God's sovereign desire is to show all his perfect and glorious attributes
What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory-
Romans 9:22-23 ESV

I'm wholeheartedly disappointed with John MacArthur's discourse about "creation science." It is FAR more involved than he gives it credit for being, and, since I respect the man so much, I'm a bit hurt by this, saddened.
48:55. Thank you. Thank you so much.
25:4] and “The worker deserves his wages” [Luke 10:7].”
Perhaps he misheard the guy with the question or simply forgot to add “chapter 5 of 1st Timothy.” Hope this helps!
At 37:00.. her answer is not sufficiently answered not by John nor RC. Why then create man knowing he would sin?! Then there’s hell to pay..???
Free will. He has an everlasting kingdom to fill with servants. He didn't want robots He wanted freely given servants. Heirs. For that matter this whole ordeal was a battle for man's soul. God vs Satan's systems

By His wisdom God created all things. So if Genesis is to be understood literally; then when did serpents stop talking?
Plz explain

The Bible.
The reason I commented to start with was that McA.'s quote was ironically true. Some folks aren't moved by recitation of verses. As for "proving God doesn't exist/disproving scripture", how would you disprove non-Christian scripture? Do you know that Chukchi creation stories are not true? If so, how?
Love it
So, do you believe these stories from the Hindu and the other one you cited? and if u find the validation of Scripture by Scripture too secular for u, then what means do you have that is OK for you and tell me why I should take your own way rather than the Word of God! Thank u. Help me out!

Why does everyone only ask John questions?

Darby is the one responsible for the despensation. By far his view on the Bible is not outside the text it doesn't impose ideas that aren't found in the text. I miss sproul
“Now we see how the astronomical evidence leads to a biblical view of the origin of the world. The details differ, but the essential elements in the astronomical and biblical accounts of Genesis are the same: the chain of events leading to man commenced suddenly and sharply at a definite moment in time, in a flash of light and energy.” He goes on to say they have painted themselves into a corner because the proven that earth began abruptly in a act of creation.
Do you have anything with clear understanding to say about the meaning of all capital words in the Bible vs normal words with the understanding of adding the book will curses you
If that guys feeling bad for doing bad then his conscience is where it should be..with God.
wow awesome gathering

God is there. if we are going to debate that we don't know what created the Universe, that gives me more confidence in my Bible..
in scripture God says He made what we see from what cannot see
Last thing Jastow, who by the way is agonistic and o founder of NASA Goddard Institute of space studies.
GOOD stuff.
Some evil, or suffering is a result of others, and some form of injustice- Ecclesiastes 8:9; 2 Timothy 3:1-5
Some is caused by our own doing since we are imperfect and make mistakes - Galatians 6:7,8; Proverbs 22:8
Some is just part of this life currently, or an accident because we live in an imperfect fallen state, and an ever changing world around us and we cannot protect from or account for all things in life.- Ecclesiastes 9:11,12; Luke 13:4
Lastly, some evil is caused by Gods enemy and our enemy who hates us, Satan who controls the world around us, and knows he has a short time left therefore wanting to take as many of us with him and turn us away from God. 1 Peter 5:8; 1 John 5:19; Revelation 12:12
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create _evil_ : I the Lord do all these things.
If God's purpose for creation was to have communion with something, why not just create us to live with him from the get-go, and avoid all the conflict of choice and rejection?
nutmegger1957
Who said that that was God's purpose for creating us?
The purpose of God's creation is to divide good and evil, and put to an end evil through humanity.
15:55 - Is he referring to ray comfort lol
God bless Ray Comfort, I love him!
In a way it's a category error to ask scientific questions about God.
drumrnva
McArthur was simply pointing out that a scientist assumes that he can gain knowledge. Why else would he spend vast amounts of time and resources on his studies?
@@larryhelmuth691 He said "the universe is knowable". MacA. didn't say the assumption is that knowledge can be gained.
We have perfect truth. It is Jesus Christ. If you will, He is our North Star.
