But it's a limited edition , you want people to look at you as you pollute the quiet woods with that whining row.
Some are, some aren't. My wife's sounds like that, mine is dead silent. For half that price you can get the +2 and with a few upgrades, it's a fantastic ride and a more down to earth price. Relatively.
Usually it is not, I suspect it is the carbon frame making it resonating more than alloy
Even if it was an eMTB made from GOLD, nothing.. NOTHING warrants a bicycle of any type to cost this much!! (unless your stupid!!) You can buy a decent motorcycle for that!!

Looks like a great bike indeed ✨! However at that price I'm not sure if these bikes are something we could even look at, we the average earners. For sure, some can afford the top of the line and limited editions. But my question is, with the fast pacing e-bike tech evolution constantly improving each year, are these high price tags bikes a really worthy investment? 🤔
Personally I’m holding out another few years. They are evolving too quickly to get stuck with an expensive tank that you can’t resell.
Those who can afford worry not about waiting for something else to come along, has the iphone taught you nothing??

@@TimnShelley not necessarily, the specialized enduro is 4 years old now and still top of of the line. An Ebike from 4 years ago is an ugly heavy tank. I’ll hold out another 2 years and get an ultra sleek lightweight ebike.
What is going on with the bicycle industry . Could you imagine asking your parents to buy a bicycle today. You need a full-time job and if you’re paying that kind of money you might as well have insurance on it. We’re not talking motorcycles here these are just bicycles.
You can ride them where you can't ride motorcycles and they don't need license.

@@Stickyman61 your missing the point. You can’t take a motorbike onto MTB single track, tearing up fire roads on a noisy motorbike holds absolutely no appeal for most mtbers. And there are significantly cheaper versions of this very bike that Giant make
It’s the price comparison. What are you getting for your money. So long as people are willing to pay through the nose. Dealers will charge.

I Had a Giant Trance E bike and I Would Not pay £16K For this ,You Would be Mad to pay that kind of money for a Bike,We Need More Better Quality Cheaper E MTBs instead or Overpriced Ones.

Just bought a Trance X E+2 for £4200 new. Same motor, controller, software and geometry. 90% of the riding experience for 33% of the cost!

Anyone with the slightest bike experience should have caught that while filming and testing. Surprised they didn't edit that out. Guess it's another $1K to get a chain the right length.
Let's be fair this limited edition bike is going to be admired and cleaned and stuck in a collection more than riden hoping you've got timeless piece of engineering 😀

It’s really just a very expensive bike that does the same as 3k bike it will hemorrhage money just like any other mountain bike

Interested to know if the carbon frame composition is any different to the regular Trance X Advanced E+ models. Or is it just down to the finish

Its becoming bit of a joke that a cycle costs the same as a premium brand motorcycle. No matter which way i look at it i cannot see how they can cost a much? Particularly as its from a huge company like Giant who are comparable to some of the big motorcycle companies.
I bought a 2015 Aprilia RSV4 APRC, full Akrapovic exhaust, race ECU, 10,000 km's on the clock in showroom condition a few years ago for $14,000.... last time I checked their was a whole lot more engineering, technology and materials involved than a treadley with an electric motor.... would love one to add to the collection... but way over priced.
And on that note...here in Oz you can get a new Husky, KTM, Beta or Gas Gas enduro bike ( displacement up to you ) registered and ready to go for that kind of money.
@@garryskelsey765 yep spot on m8 I ride a BMW r1250r stacked with technology and it costs about the same. The difference is you can see where the money has gone. Appears we are being asked to pay for development and fashion.

Looking to buy my first Emtb this year. I have a 5k limit and will be using Cycle2work which limits places I can buy from. I dont know loads about bike but wondering which i should choose. Currently looking at;

Lovely bike, loads of tech but , I have a Giant ATX which is a low range 27.5 mountain bike, E hub drive converted and a smattering of decent components inc forks, ok it’s not going to do big drop-offs etc but real world how many ppl need that, it does 47mph (off road 😉) and is the most fun I’ve had on 2 wheels! £3k all in
I wouldn’t pay that kind of money for a car, having all that top rated gear wont make me a better rider so I will stick with the bike i have which was a third of the price and still puts a smile on my face every time i ride it
Pretty sure you could get a Trance Advanced E+0/1 and add the ASX, Rims and so on for well under $15k

All the comments on here complaining about the price... I can currently buy this exact bike locally for 18k but a specialized levo s-works is 26k with far lower specs and I hear crickets... funny how some brands are viewed differently from others.

Nice advert for Giant. My buddy has already gone through four, yes four, Trance E bikes. The motors and electricals are just junk. For $15K, just go and buy two Trek Rail 9.7 bikes, and still have money to spend.

I don’t think being a limited addition will make any difference to resale? You would never get anywhere near that price, be lucky to get half of that!? Who would buy that to keep it in a collection and not use it? It’s not an investment like you would get with a limited car! I personally don’t think it looks any better than a standard bike!?🤷🏼♂️
This is a halo bike; meant for the 0.001% where 15K is just a soda can in terms of cost. The real takeaway is to go try out the new Trance/Reign bikes. You can have pretty much the same innards with the Trance Advance E+0 and E+1 which are 1/2 the price of this halo bike. I have one and it’s amazing value and performance. The Yamaha motor is not bad, a little whine but the grunt is there. I have managed to climb hills where I never thought I could. Downhill, the suspension is very plush with the live valve. The app continues to improve. Giant just added new features where you can now tweak the response of the motor from a dead stop plus tweaking of the 5 separate levels. Bikes at this price level are generally not meant for mass adoption. Too expensive, hence the limited run. Get a Trance Adv. E+0/1, slap on AXS and you’re golden.

Does it ride two, or three times better than a 7500, or 5000 bike? I don´t think so.
So who is supposed to buy one? Sure there are a few rich morons who buy such things just to be sure they have the most expensive ones. But for someone who just wants to have and ride a capable emtb there is a lot out there for half the price. (wich is probably already overpriced as they are all made of mass produced components wich do not justify the every year rising prices)

Looks no different to my reign mx2! I bet it still has the same shit bearings that mine had! 6 months and headset bearings gone! Lack of grease from the factory!! 7 months front and rear wheel bearing shot! I'll never buy a Giant bike again!!

In reality the real price is way much lower. Its sad because instead of brink people to mountain biking greed makes it super prohibited. In the same amount of money you can buy an amazing motorbike and save money at the same time for a eurotrip. BIKE INDRUSTRY IS FAILING BIG TIME
