I attended a plant-based class last month at the Murrysville Library and someone recommended your channel. I’m so happy they did! I enjoy watching your videos.
You have come such a long way from your first videos. I really enjoy them because you come across so natural. And the effect of this way of eating certainly shows on you. Great job!
Wowie! You had me at anti-inflammatory. I just blended this up and thought, ewwww. Then I thought, "but it's anti-inflammatory!" So I took another sip. Then another. And another. It grows on you. It is quite refreshing. I'm not sure I'll drink it every day, but if it does help the aching in my joints, I think you can count on me enjoying it more often. It is a bit of an acquired taste, but I'm acquiring it! ;)
Adding to this post to say I've had this for several days in a row now. I'm 65 and my bones hurt. I now notice it's not so painful to get out of bed in the morning (or at night when I have to pee). We'll worth adjusting the proportions to find something that's tasty and works for you!
I tried this but couldn' t tolerate so much matcha, as green tea gives me the jitters. But i love this after I tweaked a few things to reduce glycemic load. Instead of dates, i use organic dry and ground up stevia leaf, add amla powder, decreased matcha to 1 teaspoon and decrease the milk to 1/4 cup. I drink it from a shaker bottle shaken with ice and it froths up nicely. Glad I found this!
I go ahead and add cinnamon nutmeg and star anise Ruth the black pepper. If the weather is really cold I add a dash of cayenne and one more date(making three in all) Or teaspoon of raw honey. I drink matcha separately in lower dose with hot hot nut milk. Separating the matcha out is a gentler approach to the body. And not so much. It is very pure. You are a blessing and thanks for inspiring me.
Just found this video of yours ...I made this using oat milk, ground turmeric and ginger paste because they were what I had plus the other ingredients....I think it is wonderful! I am weaning myself off of coffee so this may become my afternoon treat....thanks!
Just watched your video today 1/18/2020. Matcha ordered via amazon and I should be enjoying this beautiful looking anti inflammatory drink by the 20th. Excited! Thank you.
Just tried it warm oh wow!! I actually like ginger and turmeric flavors. This is a way to get my matcha down lol I made it with oatmilk and halved the recipe so it would just make one cup. It is so soothing with the light tickle of the ginger. My family actually makes warm ginger milk and it reminds me of it but with that hint of matcha. Thank you!
I freeze turmeric and eat a chunk a day because it tastes like frozen raw carrot. When its frozen it doesn't stain as much so I can handle it and eat it without even staining my hands. Not as spicy either when frozen. I will try this tho 😋
I’m trying this this morning. I drink matcha nearly every day too. I like it warm with a splash of soy milk. Your version looks delicious though. I’ll let you know what I think. 😊 I keep small pieces of ginger and turmeric in my freezer because I never use them up fast enough. And I don’t peel them if they’re organic. Do you?
Well, it’s delicious! Unlike anything else, really. It’s warming and sweet and slightly spicy with the ginger. I first tried it with one date, but it needs two. I used water and almond butter because I didn’t have almond milk. Love this! Great recipe! Did you make it up?
Lovely taste but for me 1 tbl of match a was a bit much. I started w a tsp. I am afraid it wouldn't be cost effective to do every day. But I will give it a go! Love the flavor iced. Going to go warm this morning!
This looks wonderful. I've lately had problems finding a matcha that's not bitter and the cost isn't ridiculous. Can you share the brand name you use and the cost, please?
This drink looks delicious! What brand of Matcha do you use? I find it rather expensive especially if I would be using 2 tablespoons a day (one for me, one for my husband).
Have you looked at comcept of heavy metals in spices etc? Do you know any more about this i know california rice is best to avoid arsnic from rice baby milk has it too. But i breast feed.there are scientific studies done published, also lists some where of butrients misding such as iodine in derby etc.and another place in far east has no iodine in soil.i dint need iodine too much makes me bleed bruise.
Can you use turmeric powder instead of the actual turmeric cuz my stores where I am at don’t have fresh turmeric?? So was wondering so I could make this..
Brittany, what book is this recipe in? Thank you for sharing!🥰 Love making healthy drinks. Adding this one to my daily journey! I wrote this recipe down!
What is the resulting flavor? I find that matcha is overpowering and tastes like grass......but, I would like to try this. Just wondering what it ends up tasting like?
Yum! I'll have to try the matcha version, looks awesome. Funny enough I was drinking my pumpkin spice turmeric latte while watching this! Instead of matcha I add 1/4 tsp cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin spice. Nice and cozy for a cold morning or evening :)
I usually love everything you make but my partner and I are having trouble with this. I love ginger in food but this was too strong for us. i am going to try it again with less ginger. Everything else is okay I think, just the ginger is not good. I swallowed this fast. My partner is still struggling with his lol
I don’t like turmeric, or matcha, or ginger. The struggle is real, haha. I tried to sneak turmeric & ginger in different ways and they have all failed! Can we just have Star Trek food replicators yet?!
Love your videos - this one was a great one. If I use powdered turmeric, how much do you think I would use? Also, as below, where do you get your matcha?
I bet your recipe would help with chronic fatigue. Turmeric isn't one of my favorite flavors but for the health benefits, it's worth it. A good way to think of it is to compare turmeric's taste to that of most medicines, which usually taste awful! So, I think I prefer turmeric over pharmaceuticals!

Aw thank you, means a lot to me!! I've totally learned a lot this past year of making videos.
I guess it's kind of randomly asking but does anybody know a good site to stream new movies online ?
@Louis Jesiah ehh I use Flixportal. You can find it thru google :D -danny
@Danny Hugh Thank you, signed up and it seems to work :) Appreciate it !
@Louis Jesiah Glad I could help xD
My daily matcha is around 1/4 teaspoon. A tablespoon would be expensive, but so is a matcha at a coffee shop. I’m going to try this!

Patricia Benes I’m guessing you use the powder of turmeric and it came out good cuz I just asked this lol??
Just made this and shared it with my Dad. I added 6 ice cubes and blended to chill it. So good!
i started the whole blended lemon protocol. i am going to try with tumeric, maybe ginger as well.
Just made this and it's smooth, frothy, thick and DELISH!! Thanks for all of your wonderful recipes, Brittany.
Made this drink hot this morning with hemp milk. So good and creamy! Thanks for sharing recipe! Love it!!

Only being cheeky! Wonderful simple and healthy recipe!
This is delicious
Thank you for this healthy healing recipe. I have not cared for matcha in the past. Can you share a link to the one that you use? Thank you
Can you use date syrup instead of whole dates? Love your channel!
Yes
I make this all the time!! Yum!!!

@@christym.814 Aw so excited you loved it!! I did make it up - I saw a few recipes similar but I tweaked it to have all these amazing ingredients.
Hi Brittany,

Does this help you stay healthy during the school year?
HI could i use dry organic tumeric instead?

Yes, she suggested a tsp in another comment
Can i use the spice in the jar in the spice isle. It's organic
Of course!
Yes
Is there any substitute for the matcha? I don't do caffeine...
Someone else made a comment they use 1/4 tsp of pumpkin spice and 1/4 tsp of cinnamon instead of the matcha - sounds like a great verison to try!!
Glad you asked Betty, same goes for me. :)
@@TheJaroudiFamily Thanks!

Brittany do you use the black cumin and if so how?
In tacos

ChrispiCakes I must be weird as I love matcha and ginger!

I would try 1 tsp of turmeric. Matcha I use this brand: amzn.to/2MMu14f
I love this idea! However, a full tablespoon of matcha would totally give me the caffeine shakes 😂 I'm gonna have to cut back on that ingredient.
The L Theanine calms the caffeine

Same here Donna! Its actually really yummy in this drink. I think the dates, nut milk, and ginger help to keep the turmeric in check.
Thank you for this recipe! Do you peel the ginger and turmeric? Thank you’
Thanks for watching!! I peel both!!
I do peel both!
I just made this, and all of my chopped up ingredients were at the bottom of my blender😩. Maybe I need a new blender 😩
Did you add in a non-dairy milk?
Yes, 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk. I might need to invest in a new blender lol. Can’t wait to make this everyday
Bowel issues ? .... those people need to watch tumeric.... its irritating to it ..... just saying
Not at all
