Soundproofed & Secure | Ford Transit Speaker Upgrade, Soundproofing & Deadlocks

This Ford Transit has been upgraded with a long list of new features for the new owners in Bermuda, where the vehicle is being shipped to!
Firstly, the vehicle was completely soundproofed, using a Skinz 3mm layer and Skinz panel liner. The Skinz 3mm layer has been applied to almost every flat surface in this transit - the roof, sides, tailgate, bulkhead, cabin headliner and inside the doors. This has then been layered with panel liner. The 3mm layer reduces road noise, rattles and resonations by making the panels more dense, and the panel liner protects against condensation.
However - soundproofing has an additional benefit - temperature control. In Bermuda where the temperature is much higher, the soundproofing helps keep the heat out maintaining a better temperature within the van, as the rear of this van is going to be converted to a specialist workspace. Equally, when the weather is cold, soundproofing can help insulate the vehicle once it's up to temperature, as it removes changes the thermal behaviour of the metal panels.
While soundproofing, the front speakers have also been upgraded using an Audison Prima APK165.3 kit featuring new tweeters and woofers for the cabin. This gives an excellent upgrade to the sound, while working directly from the factory head unit - the best option for an easy sound upgrade without adding further amplification.
Finally, additional deadlocks have been added to every opening door on the vehicle for additional security as well as a visual deterrent. Deadlocks use either hook and latch or bar style locks, dependant on the door, to help secure the vehicle using an additional key. Once the vehicle is locked and alarmed, you simply lock the deadlocks with the key to make the vehicle incredibly secure.
