thank you for the video, i bought a high roof long body 250 cargo transit and the sound is so crackly even just listening to the news or joe rogan, i feel like a bit of an upgrade would help for those long commute drives.
@@SuscribeRoadTo10ksubscarsmusic well yeah. I paid a customer audio shop $1,850 to put upgraded speakers in the cab. From factory I have speakers on the rear doors so it nice listening to music while I’m loading or unloading water heaters and etc. the subwoofer is 12 in. 500w. It’s very nice after a long days work .
Really good video to explain it all, i just wonder can you do all that apart from the tweeters leave the factory ones connected is it gonna still work the same? Thank You
18 Gauge was just fine. Alternatively, if you have a component set that doesn't require an external crossover, there would be no need to run wire through the plugs and could connect your tweeters to the speaker wire in the A-Pillar.
Yes, I wondered that too - if the original tweeter connected directly to the door unit I'm sure you could do just that by cutting into the wiring near the tweeter
Parts used linked in the description of the video!
Put the crossover under the dash and just split the oem wire under the dash to the door speaker.
Might be able to do this behind the stereo also.
Thanks so much!!! The screw schematic and door diagram made that a breeze !!

Did you ever get it fixed

Do you think you could upload a video on here of how it’s sounds 🙏
Great explanation guy thanks for ur time
Well done video
Thanks for the detailed video. How does the volume measure up against the factory speakers?

If insulation is added inside the door panel, will that help with the plastic rattling?
does 2022 transit have same size speakers that 2020 have? just got my 2022 from dealer and my phone has better audio :D
What gauge wire did you use to go through the plug for the tweeters. Great video

What size are the factory installed door speakers?
6.5"
Why not put the crossover under the dash somewhere, and avoid the whole door connector problem??

@@markrmthompson i eventually discovered factory tweeters and was able to use factory wiring. Crossovers already in the Fosgate speaker set
Anyone know if they make an adaptor for the tweeters as well?
If the tweeter already exists then why would you have to install the crossover, if the van already supports a component system, I’m a noob
how do i replace the window track for 2019 ford transit van 250
Be a bit of a pain if the door ever has to be removed.
This is why we suggest a component set with stand along passive crossovers to avoid the need of running wiring through the boot.
@@ProvoBeastAudio I'm looking into fitting some after market components to my van. What make would you recommend?
@@popeye9048 Alpine S-S65C would be better situated for this install.
@@ProvoBeastAudio awesome! Thanks for the replies. Would these need mounting brackets for the woofers?
