Tried your appalam today. Initially rolling thin was challenge. Then I rolled it in between two plastic sheets. Then I was able to roll thin. I have one question. Should I remove the seeds of the green chilli? It dried today itself and I fried one appalam. Everyone said awesome. Here in USA we don't get arisi appalam. I am happy that I am able to make it here. I used little less water may be two teaspoons than the equal amount of water and flour as u said. Thought the dough will be little loose. When I steamed it it became hard and I dipped my hand in warm water three times and then it became soft. I like your traditional recipes which are forgotten now. Are you there in Facebook, so that I can send the picture of my appalam

If you heat oil over Appalam porikkum podhu sivakkum First heat oil in high flame then reduce the flame then only you should fry don't heat smoking level

S you can but if sun dried atleast half an hour otherwise if you deep fry it will come out light brown (sivakkum)
