      They haven't really changed the panel since the C9 tbf no point in upgrading as long as the processor on your TV is fine.

      Same here. I bought the 77” LG CX at the tail-end of 2020. I’m trying to determine whether to wait for prices to come down for a 77” LG G3 for the upstairs TV, or go for an 83” on something like the C3. The lack of a heat sync or next-gen tuner on the C3 is bothering me. Also, the new MLA technology and 5-year panel warranty on the G3 is pretty enticing.

    I still recall going to the local Walmart to pick up my 26" CRT TV when I started college and roomed with my cousin. I honestly never thought we'd see the day when we had 98" panels in our homes. I also would have lost the bet that we'd have affordable and large OLEDs in my time. 2022 and 2023 are two of the best years we've had in quite some time as AV enthusiasts. I came up on NTSC broadcast. Kids today have no idea how far AV tech has come! LG is on fire this year!

    I would like to see the C3 next to a C1 to answer the question how often should you upgrade your TV. I love my C1 since I had it calibrated. I do wish I had some extra brightness and less dimming though. LG should offer a setting for ABL and just add some kind of disclaimer that you have to accept in order to turn it off

    • @paulcox2447
      @paulcox2447 ปีที่แล้ว

      they are super similar. c1 and c3 are just processing changes. same tv panels, very similar software. until the c gets mla no reason to change, don't pay for the same tech twice.
      g3 or qd oled are the only upgrades rn. its around every 5 years where you can usually get a good difference.

    👍✅️I like your reviews, C3 looks fantastic. One comment, I have seen that all the reviewers focus on the brightness and color of TVs in HDR mode but the truth is that of 100% of the content I watch (HBO, Netflix, Starz, Paramount+ and others) only 25% is HDR So it would be good if Oled manufacturers focused on giving more brightness in SD since the content that is seen is greater. You could do a survey in your channel community how many percent watch HDR (dolby vision) and how many percent watch SD. Thanks 👍

    • @g33xzi11a
      @g33xzi11a ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don’t know what reviewers you’re focused on and I don’t know what you want in SDR brightness. SDR wasn’t mastered for high brightness and peak luminance. Lots of these TVs have an autoHDR feature that looks like crap since that’s not really how these movies are made to be watched. This TV also has that. This TV also has a Technicolor master calibration mode which according to reviewers is brighter than the SDR standard so if you want accuracy you have to lower the preset that is supposed to be accurate.

    Hey I really like all the input and helpful TV suggestions and your honest reviews of the various units. This was my observation from watching few of the reveals, one of the Negatives , there is no mention or review points about the Audio quality. Perhaps, the reason being differences in setup , size of space and distance from unit etc. However, an immersive experience is not complete without audio signature . Without additional soundbars or equalizer added, pure out of the box. this is mostly how many people will base their choice. Something to consider as addition to your review. This would make your presentation a one stop shop in my opinion. Appreciate the hard work.

    Would like more info on the multiview feature, specifically if it has been updated from the c2 to support two hdmi/app sources at the same time. The c2 only allows for 1 hdmi/app to be displayed while your phone or camera has the other portion of the screen (not very useful imo). I've heard the c3/g3 have been upgraded, but cannot confirm this anywhere. A demonstration would be awesome, thanks!

    Nice video & review. It reminds me of me & my bf putting it together as a team. Me & my bf got the 65inch C3 because of the new Xbox X. Best tv we ever got! Before I had a lack of understanding when buying tv's blindly & realised they wasn't as good as i thought they were after spending a fair bit of money it.
    The C3 was worth every penny & having a 5yr warranty too. You know your buying a decent quality product. It really is great for gaming. Love playing the Xbox on it & 4k movies look amazing. I love playing the switch more tho. Just a shame like Nintendo & tv channels etc are still behind on there technology still compared to the C3, which makes the viewing quality less pleasant.
