"A coat to blend in with the humans"
*A paled skinned, 7 and a half ft with a muscular build.
With a hat 😂😂
@@Kiidlokeyhe’s a dapper boi
He was feeling quite fancy that night, wanted to look the part too while he was hunting down Leon and Claire
Tbf, it was nighttime. Kinda like how Raphael from the first TMNT movie wore a similar get-up, but at night.
And a fucking tench coat none the less. I mean could you possibly scream “NOTHING STRANGE GOING ON HERE. NU UH, No SIRRIE
Anybody that thinks he destroys the pace has absolutely no taste in horror and game pacing at all
@Redog68 ur a smart man
He makes the game difficult and exciting, like turning a corner and a giant X starts chasing you, true fear.
Well i like mr x in re2 remake but my coz is so sacred because he comes out of no were
Mr x made me utterly terrified to go anywhere in that police station. He WAS the pace 😂
It's a good horror element but he's genuinely the reason I won't re play the remake
The modder who replaces all enemies with Mr. X: "i just want to watch the world burn"
Lol I totally forgot that mod existed 😂
Lol, i remember seeing this mod
I tried a version of that. All regular zombies were Mr x, all lickers were G adults, and all regular g adults were stage 4 G who would give birth to lickers instead of g infants
@alice-dl6mf so I think it was horrible in there considering that just one Mr X can be annoying .
@@mamouneitim4351 oh it was awful 😁
Mr x was terrifying once you hear those footsteps you know you have to run
After all the hype that Nemesis got I was so disappointed in him compared to the sheer terror you feel with Mr X walking around RPD. I was scared to ever shoot or run because I was never sure where he was at any given moment.
The same as with Nemesis, once you hear the loud foot steps you know you’re fudged💀
The most harrowing is when you are playing as Ada and you need to open that door with your gizmo to track wiring and you hear the music.
@@perfectsplit5515 seriously I hate Ada’s bit. For Sherry once you know the captains path it’s easy to hide. But for Ada you can play the game with every unlimited weapon but for the whole mission your vulnerable and every time your close to blowing that last fan you have to hear those footsteps right behind you.
I play with him run straight past the guy
I thought Mr.X was an angry shopkeeper after Leon because he didn't pay.
Nahnah, he’s a *librarian*, cmon.
He’s just a dedicated librarian trying to get the Treehouse books back
Leon still owes him $11.58 for his shopping
He is don't let them tell you he's not
Yeah i seen that 😂 @Redracer96
People who say it ruins the pace are just coping that they suck at RE2
Bet they didn't play RE7
Hes the best part of the game
I think he is a lot of re2. The first parts of the game (before Mr x appears) were getting familiar with the map and opening doorways to set up the encounters with Mr. x. The point of "he ruins the pace of the game" is hardcore copeium. I think the game could have used some sort of dodge button like re4 does in some parts.
@@ultradeathboy Or got chased by Nemesis in RE3 remake.
I like mr.x being the way he his but I do wish they made it like the original game where you wouldn't run into him until scenario B
He’s meant to destroy the pace, that’s the whole idea of stalker enemy’s
To be honest Mr. X chasing you is scarier that most jumpscares for me. Hearing his heavy steps behind you is just so scary
Bro gives me more stress than school work
Problems can be slove. Both the homework and how to face Mr.X
It's believed that there were mulitple units of Mr. X deployed in Raccoon City. And it's very possible considering that we see Mr. X get absolutely bodied by Birkin in Claire's campaign, and yet there has to be another Mr. X to mutate into Super Tyrant for Leon's campaign
You’re right. 4 of em fought off the military and the remaining ones were at rpd the one Leon fought whose task was to kill off anyone at rpd which is why it followed Leon to the lab and then there was the one to retrieve sherry’s pendant in the lab who like you wrote got killed by William
@@cemoriza2863don’t forget, one of those was Nemesis sent to clean up S.T.A.R.S.
@@cemoriza2863 not the military. just a single special forces team guarding a railcannon..the same one nemesis gets blasted by at the end of the original RE3.
Leon and Claire's campaigns are not canon with each other in the remake
Bro, him chasing you through a hallway with 2 lickers and a zombie was the highlight of the game for me. I had to god gamer my way out and it was glorious.
Mr X sped up my playthrough. Because of him, I went from the RPD to the NEST in a hour
Whoever removes Mr. X is mad because they just suck at the game 💀
EDIT!!!!!!!: learn to read and learn to understand the context, I’m clearly talking about a first playthrough and my first casual speedrun when I had no idea wtf I was doing
It’s an opinion that I find him annoying and I’m allowed to have it, doesn’t mean I don’t know how to dodge him, I’ve beaten the game over a hundred times, criticizing me makes you look like an idiot taking things out of context
Also the comment was halfway satirical anyway
*runs into him trying to get to where I’m going*
Ughhhhhhhh!!
*runs a complete loop downstairs to continue where im going to then get where im going, clear one room only to have him pop up again five minutes later causing me to need to do the same thing*
UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
It’s very bad when you’re trying to beat the game fast and im a veteran who’s beaten almost every re game and gotten most or all of their unlocks
@@cheesydanishgaming3333skill issue
@@NotAbritishGuynot everyone is a sweat at games. People do touch grass you know.
@@cheesydanishgaming3333sounds like a you problem I'm afraid
@@cheesydanishgaming3333 if you’re a veteran of those games, you should be willing to face any and all challenges no matter how difficult
Mr X and Nemesis are the most iconic villains of this whole franchise because of their menacing and terrifying appearance
Imagine being so bad at avoiding a slow moving enemy you remove him from the entire game
Fr you could literally run around mr x and he can’t do nun
He hits like a nuke though and can put you in spots that guarantee death.
Bro, if you shoot his hat, he becomes PO'd and walks much faster.
@@markdevonport3274 then don't shoot his hat
@@Wavewave3161 I know that.
Unfortunately.
Mr X scared tf outta me and made me throw my headset and controller across the room. That's how ya know a horror has done its job, some people are just snowflakes lol and the feeling off accomplishment I got when I finally killed him was unreal
Ong I loved the big guy and it was fun when he appeared cause I knew I was either gonna have to put em down for a bit or run my ass away so I don't get my face smashed in lol
I had a nightmare my sister and mum turned into a zombiex I was too scared to open the door and look at them 😂 so my mum took the game
Back lol never did complete it.
Yes I got very jumpy when he first appeared in the game.
Dude I had my surround sound on and overtime he come round it scares the shit out of my 😂😂 makes it every more scary when you know he's there but dnt know when he'll come out
It took me two tries to realise that I had to run away from him until the final boss fight. Had me using all my ammo from my weapons and still coming at me like the terminator. Boy was I glad to finally destroy him? Lmao
I loved Mr. X in that game. It makes it more challenging. In the original, he's only on the 2nd scenario and only pops up occasionally. But the REmake, he's in both scenarios and you actually got to stay away from him bcz he'll follow you everywhere until you lose him
His also scary af I hate his loud ass foot step it makes me think his one room away
Yeah, it's a shame that there are a lot of safe rooms that you can get in while being chased and patiently wait until Mr. X goes away. Imagine if there weren't any safe places to hide from him, then he would be an absolute menace lol
@@IDyn4m1CI at the same time tho, it would absolutely suck ass if you saved it right when he's busting in the room or already halfway in. The safe-rooms, sometimes were the only to avoid me getting killed by that fedora wearing bastard...
While in RPD Mr. X is constantly roaming the map. From my understanding he never de-spawns and is just always going room to room and if you shoot somewhere he will follow the noise to track you down.
he definitely spawns if you make noise, if he’s across the RPD and you start shooting zombies he spawns close it’s been proven
@@dolantho Though he is correct that Mr. X always has a presence in the RPD *somewhere.*
Yes but only during that specific 10-15 min section when you go back to get the electronic parts. And of that short time there's only one slightly random bit that involves a licker and X AND zombies simultaneously, which a flashbang will easily solve. That's why I love RE it's so stressful on the first couple playthroughs but after you learn the game it's all very trivial. X will ruin your day on the first playthrough but he's really not a problem
Did you also know that mr x owns a shop and the reason why he is chasing leon is because leon didn't have enough change?😮
X gone give it to ya.
I love Mr X, he’s absolutely perfect and I couldn’t imagine the game without him. Right when you think you’ve gotten comfortable with the layout of the map and killing zombies becomes much easier due to your increased resources and experience, this massive hulking beast literally crashes into the game. He has no clear backstory, personality, or motivation other than he wants to kill you and he will never stop no matter what gets in his way.
Ive always assumed their were 2 Mr Xs. The one that goes after Clair and Sherry that gets killed by Birkin and the one that goes after Leon to kill police station survivors
He makes the game very very tense because you can never know when he's about to pop around the corner because you can always hear his footsteps so you never truly know when he's going to pop up right in front of you
re2 without tyrant is like eating cereal without cereal...
Eating nails without any milk...spongebob reference btw
The Mr. X chase was the first time I legit stopped playing a game because I was too scared. And it wasn't even in the library sequence, it was when he just appeared.
I remember playing at night and getting so damn scared and stressed that I just stopped playing for the day. Not because I was tired or had to do something else, it was just because I was so freaked out that I couldn't hold my shit together anymore.
I picked it up again on the next day, though. I loved this game in the end.
The NON mutated Mr X was the most scary one.
Imagine removing Mr. X from the game, all i gotta say is that thats some clown business, and they ain't no fans
Imagine Capcom knows this, and it will replace Mr.X with killer cannibal clowns can run fast lolol
Gatekeeping fandom and how people have fun is clown business tbh. It really shouldn't matter how people play the games they pay for.
@@ZeroshikiMr. X is essential for the pacing and challenge of the game. He creates tense and challenging situations wherever you traverse through RPD after getting familiar with it. I would say that removing him absolutely ruins the game.
So i thought Mr X was a shop owner, Leon didn't pay him so he came to take everything back
Finish the game 20 times on hardcore mode and you'll find a missing document written by X himself
That was a meme
He doesn't need to be removed but they should have patched things so he doesn't sound like he's right outside your door when he's actually two entire floors above you.
Even in RE7, they can't seem to get sound direction right even with 3D audio technology, it's not hard in real life to know someone is walking in particular rooms if they're loud. If it's a deliberate design choice then it's stupid, defeats the purpose of playing smart by listening to audio clues.
why tf would you take mr x out of the game i love the randomness of him showing up its twrrifying 😂
"Jesus Christ!" Lol
I won't forget the ptsd on my first playthrough when he approached with those steps and that music kicking in, I'd sit in the safe room for 10 mins debating life, I'm good at resident evil too he just got inside my head way too much 😂
I played RE2 with bluetooth earbuds on connected to my tv....and I tell you....hearing those footsteps and frantically looking left and right to look for him really added to an already great game experience
It sounds cool but ridiculous that the sound isn't that directional.
Actually X is just a disgruntled shop owner. If you play the game enough you find a document in the first gas station.
RE2 remakes pace in the RPD building is great just when you get used to the zombies they and lickers then when you got them figured out they bring in Mr.X. it's perfect
Thankfully I played the original Resident Evil 2 and anticipated the remake like a little kid waiting to get a toy during Christmas xD I loved the changes they made and how incredibly persistent X was
Bonus Fact: He gives everyone heart attacks and anxiety
I haven't played the original version but the remake yes and without it, the game wouldn't be stressful at all. He is perfect.
Breaking the game's pace? Dude, every time i heard him stomping around I would freeze and pray he wasn't headed my way... If anything he ADDS to the game's horror
Imagine being 7 1/2 feet tall and wearing a trenchcoat trying to blend in with humans. Not noticeable at all.
Tbh footsteps sound more terrifying than actual Mr X
Mr x makes this game doing everything but really fast and anxiously that he'll show up is so fun and scary
Honestly, i always called the RE2 tyrant as buff squidward. And the RE3 one just squidwards doggo.
Without Mr. X there is no Resident Evil 2.
I always remember the first time i encountered mr x near that crashed helicopter, i got so scared i paused the game 😂
To my understanding based on the many years of the RE universe, capcom films and games. The limiters are the trench coat or restrictive suits the tyrants wear, similar to nemesis.
Mr. X gave me great scares when I ran around rpd, I'm still scared to play RE2 again, I love it
When playing as Leon, in that one area in the lab with the walkway when you get the pass from the employee killed by the plant, Mr X comes to harass you, if you use the ladder to go to the lower level to avoid him and then get back to the room with the window, you can then see Mr. X in the walkway through the window.
Mr. X adds so much depth to the gameplay. Removing him would make the game extremely confusing
Bro Mr X IS THE PACE whenever you hear the foot steps and music starting to play you know you gotta run or waste all your ammo to fight which made the game ten times better imagine just running around the rpd just solving puzzles the whole time with little action
He’s actually an angry librarian trying to get overdue library books from Leon, Jill, and Sherry
This guy is the Chris Walker of Resident Evil. I got PTSD of every scene where Chris Walker chases you in Outlast 1 everytime Mr X came on screen.
He makes the pacing better but i feel very tired constantly having to run 😂
Mr X actually makes the game better. If he wasn’t here then I seriously believe the game wouldn’t be as good. Mr X has became so iconic and his intimidating presence makes the game not only better, but more challenging. Those who think Mr X somehow “destroys” the game’s pacing don’t know what they’re talking about and prefer no challenges when playing video games.
P.S, I mean think about it, if he wasn’t here then the game wouldn’t be as challenging and fun as it is. I mean yeah William Berkins is a good villain, but he barely shows up only as a boss. Lickers and zombies are around but they can obviously be killed. Mr X is nearly invincible when in free roam. It’s only at the end of the game that he’s killed thanks to the help of copious amounts of damage and a rocket launcher.
Lastly I’ll say this, Mr X is an incredible character who now stands next to Nemesis as some of the most intimidating characters in the Resident Evil Universe.
I used to be scared of him until during my playthrough, I started calling him “Mr. Cuddlekins” and that immediately changed the mood.
He’s still looking for that 101 Magic Tricks To Do At Home book
POV You have the Mod that turns everything into Mr X: x Gon give It to Ya.
I went into RE:2 blind and this guy almost gave me a heart attack playing at 4am. I had taken too much ADHD medication and literally threw the controller down and went to bed because he made my heart race so bad. Once you e dealt with him a few times though he’s not scary
Mr X ruins the game? That mod is perfect for people that don’t have the balls to play resident evil properly
make them play fall guys forever for that shit
Everytime i hear DMX song i just see Mr. X just walkin heavily towards his target lol
Deacon St. John would make quick work of Mr. X
Yea nobody wouldn’t notice a 7ft hulk walking down the street. He blends in well, so he can really conceal his identity they should’ve just put glasses on him to hide his real identity.😂
How can you remove Mr.X??? He is the STAR OF THE GAME!!!
Ong it's like removing némesis from R3 like it's called resident evil 3 nemesis for a reason and Mr x is litterally a big part of r2
@@sinueeplayz2285 he's such a big part of RE2 that he doesn't show up in the original game until the second playthrough.
If anything I was mad he wasn’t in the game more, imagine if he stalked you in the nest lab
I like Mr X chasing you around in the game
Actually, the coat itself was the limiter for his evolution. It kept him from expanding, and when it was destroyed by the gas line explosion, he was able to evolve. Unfortunately his super tyrant form had that glaring heart weakness
Mr x and nemesis from the original re3 are the only 2 memorable villains in the whole franchise. They're terrifying.
Ah yes, Judge Holden
Mr.X constantly chasing you was perfect pace. He could even go into your safe rooms and get you there so really no place was safe and it made the game just so much more terrifying I loved it
Safe rooms are safe from Mr. X, along with some other rooms (clock tower, for example). The only "safe room" he can get into is the main hall of the police station, but that room was never intended to be safe in the first place
He doesnt destroy the pace at all, and chances are if you think he does you are just slow, like literally.
You are taking too long thats the point of him, to keep you on the move.
I forgot that there were more Tyrants that were deployed; at least that potential plot hole is fixed. when you play the game both ways, Leon fights the Super Tyrant instead of Birkin since Claire deals with him on the train elevator. In Claire's 1st run Mr. X gets wasted by Birkin even though both Claire and Leon fight G1-G3 Birkin. I was expecting different outcomes by playing all four runs
Mr. X looks like Dolf Lundgren from Rocky 3. I must break you Leon
Who the...FUK! would get rid of Mr X?
Is the best part of the whole game.
Quick tip for ‘The Second Run’ Don’t open that computer until you have to.
MR X is like that guy in spiderman 2 who wants money for living in flat 😅
Mr.X was the only thing that really scared me, I jumped a few time or felt tense with the lickers but he scared me
"blend in with humans"
Mr. X: Goliath go THUMP, THUMP, THUMP
Mister x is just a nerfed ultra marine from 40k
Mr X is terrifying, hearing the footprints and when you accidentally corner yourself lol.
Mr x is one of the parts of the game. Hearing his Bigfoot steps on the floors above or below you. Or when you open a door and hes standing there waiting on you. Nothing you can do but run. I'm not a fan of unkillable enemies but he was a great addition.
Ruins the pace more like pussies ahaha I love that feeling when you get caught by surprise in horror games and you start freaking out tryna get away and his only inches away from getting you, then that moment of relief when you escape watching people’s reactions to horror games makes me laugh so hard I wanna do it cause just to show how I don’t react
I want to imagine a scene where Mr X is sitting on in a subway car super stoic, and around him, there are people either staring or taking a video.
I personally think he shows up a little too soon in the second run but he’s perfect in the first
Love the DMX "X gon' give it to ya" reference
Wow some people suck a$$, my heart still beats hard when I hear him getting closer
And yet mr X hits like a tuck
He also looks like Nick Valentine from Fallout 4 💀
at first I was pissed to activate him in the game cuz it was helluva hard to avoid zombies in the game already and there was tons of places to search still. But damn I was happy they put him in the game after a while, he brings much more hesitation about where to go rather than just run around careless through the map
It's lore for all tyrants that the outfits are what keeps then humanoid-
Ya know, once he was a regular guy working at a gas station when Leon failed to pay him and said "ill getcha next time" then when raccoon city was under attack, he was exposed to the virus and consequently took it upon himself to retrieve his, give or take, 5 bucks off of Leon.
Mr. X keeps the pace going. In nearly every one's first playthrough they may be too scared to go anywhere. After that he is just another reminder to watch your step.
"To better blend in with people"
What ya may not know about Mr. X is that he's gonna give it to ya
So basically a super zombie version of Brian Shaw or Hafthor Bjornsson😅
Scary af.
now i know what song to play while running from mr x
perfect mood and perfect Video. keep the good work! 👍
thank you for informing me about that, Peter Jackson
Mr X reminds me of the Russian boxer in the movie Rocky.
I'm seeing Mads Mikkelsen in that preview photo lol 😂😂😂😅
Sometimes i remove him, especially when I do different challenges. But I like having him on the most, it just makes the game better. Its kinda terrifying knowing he is stalking you throughout the police station. Opening doors really looking for you, instead of him being scripted to spawn in.
I thought the coat was also meant to bind down and help restrain the Tyrant body from growing and mutating out of control.
Mr. X didnt fail his mission. He got the G virus sample... through the chest. 😂
